I know we laugh a lot and make a lot of jokes even during serious scenes, but that doesn't change the fact that we do get emotional regardless. Togame's backstory since he fought Sakura was already heartbreaking. Seeing him in Choji's mind trying to mend, somehow keep shards of glass together was even more so. We use the phrase "walking on eggshells" a lot, but in this case it was walking on cracked glass, like cracked ice, you can fall through any moment. But nobody can put those pieces together again.
The Japanese can actually fix a lot of things, like a cup or a vase with gold and make it more beautiful than it was before, but I don't believe that is the case for emotional scars. They are not beautifully golden even if you patch things up and move on to a better future. That's just what it looks like on the surface until problems arise again. I'm not saying they will for Shishitoren. I'm simply speaking from a realistic perspective.

Next episode is gonna be a wholesome one.
And regarding sakura's classmates as briefly seen in ep 2, they would either appear in the next episode or in episode 11. But anyway look forward to the rest of the show.
Thank you, I appreciated the tidbits at the beginning but I'd rather remain completely unaware at this point in the anime. I don't want to know if there's going to be a fight or if it will be wholesome. Being aware of things kind of messes with expectations and elements of surprise for an anime only watcher like myself 😅
However, anything in the episode you want to discuss in a more serious way than our silly reaction video, I'm always game for knowing your and other people's thoughts.

I just hope most anime reactors aren't dissapointed at the last few episodes. I'll say it's a calm before the next storm (new arc) would arrive. Heard there was gonna be a second cour done. Anyway do stay tune till the end.

Appreciate knowing there's going to be a second cour. IMO, all good animes like this should be 2 cour. 1 cour you feel like you had an amuse-bouche and are left wanting more but no, there's nothing more on the plate.
You still see a fight though there is no point in beating choji, the goal was to bring his old self back.
He DID get beat though, emotionally. As Umemiya said, he didn't mean to drive him into a corner but that's exactly what he did, and it's what was necessary. Not a hard thing to do for Umemiya when he can tell Choji is lost and near his breaking point.
They did have the so called talk with their fists but fists and kicks only was never going to change Choji. That's why I said that some fights have to be verbal, because Choji had to be hit where it truly hurt, and that wasn't his body.

If you want to have a deep conversation here, you're more than welcome to, I encourage it, I think sometimes beg for it from people. I may have the "mouth of a sailor" but that doesn't mean what I say will be superficial. I THINK you might be interested in what I think about, realistically speaking, emotional scars, because there's fiction and then there's the reality of going through something as Toxic as Choji and Togame did. I wrote a long reply about it under Sarah00328's comment.
