I will play any game that:
* Allows me to strategize and optimize
* Requires brains over speed

Definitely finish up this series!
I bought this game yesterday after watching about 2 mins of your first video... I've just beat the game... 😂
Great video. Currently playing: - Hard Chip - Shapez 2
This game is so relaxing! I think it's the rhythmic firing of the weapon that does it, like a hypnotist's watch
The 20% damage to shields vs 1.25 multiplier to the laser cannon balances out because the shield damage bonus applies to ALL damage you do to shields. Once you have multiple weapons mounted on your ship the first option buffs them all. I'm so glad you're enjoying the game, I've been playing for nearly 2 years and I'm still unlocking new stuff
I recall playing this a long while back and bounced off it. Might have to give it another go.
It gets constant updates so you might find it's more accessible now
Satisfactory updated their game engine so won't play on my old junk laptop. Dyson Sphere is so well coded and the new logic vs fps slider makes it run much better once things start flying. So I'm on a second or 3rd run now on it approaching the max my system can handle, Green science. Just finishing with production of all items. Started a new game development company W3~WEnt Gaming and I'm Gamer #1. Came up with the idea from playing Google Doodles Half Moon Rising and annoyed with their computer opponent being really dumb half the time. A high-security-chat-cycle- learning game.
My all time favorite idle game is Idle Wizard. You start out as an apprentice and promote into one of several magic users like Druid and Necromancer. Most, along with familiars, are locked. You prestige and start again. The reason I like it is you have to accomplish things per prestige to get those unlocks, and eventually, solve puzzle like challenges to make progress.
Despite claims to the contrary, I think exploding harder may in fact occasionally not being what you want. :P Russian tanks can certainly attest to this. I'd also argue Vampire Survivors is more like a bullet heaven - most of the bullets come from you after all.
The sound seems very well tuned.
Posting separate comments to encourage the divine blessing of the algorithm. That said, I'm still enjoying Helldivers on and off. The combination of armor, primary, secondary, grenades, support weapons, backpacks and stratagems actually allows for quite a bit of optimization despite its actiony nature that feels very satisfying. And the fact that there are three _very_ different enemy factions with different weaknesses and behavior and methods of attacking means you have to optimize for different things against each enemy faction. The loadouts that work great against the bugs may be terrible against the automations, and so on with the Illuminate and then back to the bugs. Still not finished Factorio Space Age even once and I'm not sure why I'm not more driven to finish it. I've also been visiting Space Engineers recently and a similar bullet heaven game to Vampire Survivors, Brotato.
>Blue science The Factorio/Dyson Sphere Program is leaking. That said I'm not sure how long your videos should be, but I definitely want to see more of you playing the game. It is as you said very satisfying. Hell, make an obscenely long one and I'll leave it on as I fall asleep, your voice is calm and soothing and I don't feel as invested in necessarily looking at every step of the screen.
40:00 nooo TDA is converted into a crypto bro
I hadn’t realized that incremental games were such a thing. I should have worked on mobile programming. Still playing Dyson Sphere Program. Just achieved the 10-hour Mission Impossible, along with the three Dark Fog non-combat achievements. I’m continuing in that game since the base is halfway-decent rather than being a cramped mess like most Mission Impossible games seem to end up as. Edit: You might like To The Core - very much an incremental game.
I've been playing this for three months and it's still going strong. There are soooo many interlocking systems. In the later stages it really does become about deciding what you're going to focus on at the moment. Splitting your focus is just asking to make no progress.
Captain of Industry - it is like sailing - totally chill, unless it is not.
Peglin is a pretty solid rogue like and fairly short per run. Would absolutely love to see another run of this game, keep it up
More of a deck building game. Or anti-rogue since the cruciball just makes it tougher and higher pain level.
The algorithm actually brought me to you with the archery game
in term of Roguelike I like them deck builder, like Slay the spire, or Roguebook. Great video btw
I second Slay the Spire. Especially when one enjoys optimizing synergies.
Dopamie hit for very little cost :)
I couldn't stop either, I played through it in one sitting. I would have liked it to go on for longer.
Hi there & thanks for your great tutorial. Newby here to Dune Spice Wars & enjoying the game very much. Played only six rounds as House Atreides so far & had only one win but closing in on another atm. Still very much enjoying it & still learning. Just asking, why at the start are the Councillors rated “Easy” & “Hard” & what does it mean for me as the Player?
++
I'd happily watch you keep gping with this game for several more hours
Yea, i enjoy watching these kinds of games, this ine in particular sounds good to have as background noise too
Since I recorded this I spent most of my game time playing this rather than, you know, being productive. So consider yourself warned ;)
Enjoyed. Convinced me to buy.
Thanks for showing this! I’m going to pick it up. I need a new casual game I can hop in for a few minutes here and there and this looks perfect.
Whoa. At 9:35 you blew my mind with the Tab key tip!
It looks like such a simple game, but all the simple games are so addictive!!!
I'm not interested in having millions of different combinations of shapes available! Am not impressed with big numbers. I want to know if the game play is any good.
Idle Spiral the only real math one I've seen
There is Exponential Idle, where you are given an equation who’s values you need to explode.
I’m sad Idleon didn’t get chosen 😢
Week isn't over yet!
hey you might like Timberborn or Satisfactory both of these game require building of some sort
:O
I *might* have been a bit hooked and continued playing for far too long after ending this recording. I decided to record it VOD-style - so expect a bonus episode tomorrow!
I completed this idle game thrice so far . So nice and chill
I totally agree!
i quit playing this after about 15 minutes.
Man those tutorials are so damn good, thanks!
Have you tried "cell to singularity?"
Good video, personally I really like it, but they suck so much time.
Hahaha these games are definitely a guilty pleasure to me. Fun? Yes. Productive? Probably not ;)
Pretty please Google how to pronounce accuracy. I like the video and game. But as a fellow dutchie it pains my ears hearing you pronounce accuracy.
Wait, this is going to be one of those things where I don't even hear what i'm pronouncing wrong :D
@TheDutchActuary hi! Not sure if this is helpful, but currently you are saying it like A-cure-acy. When it would be closer if you pronounce it like Ack-your-ah-see.
Adding a thanks and a comment & like for this!
Incremental games are great on mobile.
Really helpful. Iwas struggling hard in the middle of phase 4 with my power. Was Frustraded first cause i dont have the alternative receips but on the same day i saw the video i found it and it was really helpful and i will not need to worry anymore. :)
How many hours of gameplay in do you finally think to yourself "Ok, I understand what to do now."? I'm just getting started with this genre and I. Am. Overwhelmed!! But I'm having a great time lol
Hahaha I don't know, a few hundred? :D There's always something to optimize though! (and that's half the fun!)
For speed you could build a "tug boat" it just has a large concave scoop of structure on the front and the rest is just a massive amount of engines, it pushes your spinner around and then flees once you get close enough to an enemy.
Huh, I never considered that - That sounds pretty fun! :D
Good video. I've played a bit but still learn stuff by watching these videos. Keep up the good work!
I like to do a worker early on, maybe as my first build for a city. Then a fighter, then settler or whatever else. I also like to build a settler and sent it along behind the forces when taking a tribal city.
Thanks for the design idea as I've been struggling with going from the first ship to the next tier up. This design has worked very well for the level 2 and level 3 areas with one exception. There is a level 3 ship with 3 cannons mounted on the front that will bull rush into the front of your ship. I've tried to counter that with having a mine laying escort ship but finding missile ships to be a pain in the early game due to lack of resources. I kinda screwed up getting greedy and created a mining barge and now my staff resources are too low to create a second full sized attack ship. Definitely need to play around with some more design ideas as each type of ship should have a counter weakness and then you combine fleets to do the rock/paper/scissors thing well. The other idea I saw from someone else is to simply put a "cow catcher" structure in front of the ship but it seems like it'd be heavy and slow down the ship and need to be repaired a lot.
The 'cow catcher' works but is a bit repair-intensive early on (later it won't matter as dead enemies leave behind so much stuff). The bull rushers might be taking advantage of spread out weapons on your own ship (making it hard to focus fire on anything once they ram you), but don't tend to have heavy defenses. You can try ' wiggling' them off by twisting your ship, or focusing fire at first when they come in. The cannons blow up kind of spectacularly due to the ammo reserves ;)
1:08:00 DON'T feed pipe under input port.May cause problem.Especially when using floor holes.
