Lived in Boca 's from 2002 til 2005. Loved it still do and am going to move back there this year Lord willing. It seems to grown quite a bit. Lived at the Bocas Hotel for my entire stay. Watched and helped it grow up for the good. Actually discovered for development purposes what is now known as Red Frog Beach then was just a foot trail. How time flies. Looking forward to my return

Hi, I am Canadian and visited Panama but, I found the beaches on the Pacific side having waves too big and having a big undertow to swim. One one the man on our tour had to get rescued by a lifeguard in Rio Hato. I went in the ocean in playa la barqueta and the waves pushed me down to the bottom of the ocean. We also went to a couple of other beaches and found the same thing. Are there any beaches on the pacific side that is swimming friendly?

Is there ATM machines throughout Panama City that someone can get US dollars by using a US debit card? And is there fees that they charge? Because my JP Morgan Chase debit card is not supposed to have any fees from the US side, but maybe there’s some fees from the Panama side. I’m trying not to have to bring so much cash.
