Thank you for your videos on Puerto. It is an undiscovered gem. I would urge you to check out the oceanfront expat neighborhood called Cucuy. The homes here are newer. And, shameless self-plug, if you'd like to feature our home, we'd love it and could show you the surfing, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and tons of other ocean activities possible in this very quiet neighborhood.
I remember those houses when I stayed there as a teenager in 1980 one summer. Also the landing strip, the commissary, and the golf club. Boat ride on the coast one day and seeing hundreds of sharks. I would love to just sell my home in a few years, and retire there. I guess a lot has changed, though. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for your comment. It would be great to see some pictures or even video from those early days. I understand it was quite the hopping place in it's prime
@@freedom55adventure I went to stay with family. My uncle was working for Chiquita. I was only homesick for three days. Everything beautiful and manicured, small horses walking at night free, teen friends who were British, American, and Panamanian who knew beautiful, correct, Spanish. Good people. I cried myself sick when I had to leave. I wish I had something to show you.
The housing was built on stilts or pilings because of tsunamis. I found research that Puerto Armuelles was hit by ocean waves due to off shore earthquakes.
@@JS-jh4cy The best I can find is certain areas are prone to tsunamis which used to be classified as tidal waves. They're apparently subduction zone events in the ocean floor. The events seem, per records, to happen infrequently. The last one was 3 meters and no lives were taken.
@@JS-jh4cy Data is sketchy but 1991 is recorded. Look at the destruction on the dock. How they build houses. Even the name of a hotel used to be called the Tsunami Inn, now the Sunset Inn.
Hi, please go on line to check out rentals. There are several opioid options. We are not in the rental or real estate business. People fish off the dock all the time. Not sure if it’s is safe though.

Now that makes sense 🙂, I thought 🤔 it was so the big bugs and spiders don't easily walk into the house at night
When ? 1900s?

@@JS-jh4cy I already have that problem with large, cockroaches and spiders among other things in Southern Louisiana.
Buen dia ! Are you still selling? Just got back from Riomar area...I'm now back in Texas.
HI, we are not selling, but we can connect you with a realtor in the area
What are rents like and can you fish off the old dock?

Can you legally drive a atv on the roads in panama?
Yes
Is there a real estate company you recommend there.
Hi, we do not recommend companies. Inside Panama and Casa Solutions operate out there.
I went to your actual website. What is up with all the popups on your site? It might be the worst I've ever seen
