OME BP-51 (ARB) Squeaking-Spherical Bearing Replacement
Переглядів 2153 місяці тому
8-21-24 I spent about 3 weeks off and on trying to get this fixed. After 2 shops looked at it one said I needed a new upper control arm, wrong. The other one said that the shock needed to be replaced, wrong. Then I finally found someone that isolated it to the spherical bearing at the base of the passenger side front shock. Then spent several days and many many many telephone calls and finally ...
Solo Trip to NM 2024

7-27-24 In this trip, I head to the Taos, New Mexico area via Tucumcari, NM where I stay the night at the Motel Safari built in 1959 and right on old route 66. From here I go NW of Taos to Carson National Forest to scope out some campsites, hopefully by the water. Then head north to explore. Camp on a bluff overlooking the Rio Grande River and camp next to a stream outside of Questa, NM and the...
Memorial Weekend dispersed camping in the Ouachita's

5/24/2024 It seems to be quickly getting to the point where you can't really go camping on a holiday weekend unless you get there a day or two in advance and secure a spot. Camping is getting super popular. It seems being in Texas. Our camping season is somewhat limited as well as the places to go are. Arkansas is just as close as any other, reasonable dispersed camping area I prefer not camp a...

2/20/2024 Inspired by Matt over at Ozark Overland adventures I headed to the Ozark’s for a few days to go explore the area. I generally find myself in the Ouachita Mountains when I go to Arkansas, but need to start spending a little more time in the Ozark’s found a nice little sandy beach campsite next to a creek with some nice white noise rapids. Solo-Big Bend Ranch State Park

1/28/2024 I was getting the itch to visit Big Bend and thought I would try the ranch since the year before I did Big Bend National Park. Big Bend Ranch is quite a bit more rugged than it's big brother but an awesome place nonetheless. You will need four-wheel-drive and a little bit of clearance to do some of the more backcountry sites. On my journey, I stop in Marathon, Texas both coming and go...

July 23, 2023 We escape the relentless heat in North Texas and head to the mountains of the Lincoln National forest near Cloudcroft. Lots of camp sites to choose from but nothing too terribly exciting, at least not that we had the time or the ability to find.

5-26-2023 My camping buddy and I head to Ouachita Mountains for Memorial day weekend. have a hard time finding a spot but end up coming a well hidden site that worked out perfectly. Cook some dinner, enjoyed the campsite and the beauty of this area. Plus we had some issues with the Joolca Water pump that took a bit negotiation to get to work again.

Recon trip to Sabine National Forest in Texas

Since the weather had broke and it was finally not raining any more, I decided to take a trip out to East Texas to do a little exploring in the Sabine National Forest. I found a few spots on the area but I am quickly coming to the conclusion that finding good spots in this area of Texas is a bit hard to come by. Let me know what you think about the sites I picked. Random trip to Sarasatoa and Venice Florida
You have serious talent as a content creator/ videographer/editor, perhaps paying youtube to promote your channel will be beneficial for your great content. I’m an artist/ barber Floridian-Texan. I’m sure you’ve already consider, just thought I’d at my to cents
Dope edits, what software do you use to create your content, love the hilarious background noise, sound like a chinese kitchen, lol!
Dude you have a great authentic youtube channel, hopefully more content with your friends.
Did you have to air down at all during your trip?
I don't think you EVER HAVE TO air down, that is up to you. But yes, I did for the sake of comfort, traction, puncture reduction.
Errick from Dallas Tx here, love your videos man, they’re inspiring and fun to watch, hope to see more in the future, keep posting brother!
Nice work that’s pretty slick.
To enlighten everyone's memory WEAK PUNY WASTE OF METAL JUNKYARD CRAP
Great video, thanks.i have the same problem. Which ARB couldn’t even diagnose properly. Can I ask do you only reinstall the new bearing with the clips and that’s it?
If memory serves yes, the rubber o-rings are optional and as recommended by the mechanic that did mine I left them off.
@ hey, thanks for the reply. What about the outer sleeve? Did you reuse that?
@@TheJoedirty Yes, we reused everything except for the bearing of course.
How have these been for you? A lot of reviews say they loosen up
What are you referring to when you say "these"?
The ikamper clamps
@@HoustonBrownPhotography the brackets are labeled on the website as "Mounting Brackets 2.0". You're saying that these are the first gen?
@@nebulousJames12345 No issues whatsoever with the iKamper clamps. Keep in mind I have the 3rd generation version of these. The ones they have on their website is 2nd gen. I can not speak for those.
@@nebulousJames12345 My bad, I didn't realize. Please contact iKamper. I am not a rep.
I need those clamps! I have a cali raised roof rack and it’s almost impossible to tighten the bolts. And will be once I add lights

Guale 2 is something - the view is amazing and I think it's the most isolated campsite at BBRSP. Since we're no longer in TX, I don't think I'll have another chance to visit the park or the camp site anymore, but your video did the site a lot of justice. A lot of great memories - and I really enjoy the hike from the site to Javelin Road. One of the only places I have 2 full size spares, 20 gallons of extra fuel and water, recovery gear, a GPS with inreach and still feel unprepared, but totally worth it.
Only 13 minutes in, but had to comment. The videography is great, and the views are amazing! Definitely gonna have to add this trip to the list. Thanks for bringing us along!
I can only hope you enjoy the rest. Thank you for your kind words.

Wow, thanks for posting this, i have been making my own roof rack and the only thing i havent come up with a great solution for is getting the thing on top! This is great.
Enjoyed your content, you got a subscriber!
Thank you. Much appreciated.
Great Video. Thanks for making!
Your doing great on the video's and editing, I enjoyed the views for sure 👌
Thank you. Much appreciated.
I also saw some kayak racks once that work like this except they're on rails permanently mounted to the rack.
I've been thinking of something similar, but I don't have any place to lift from, so I was thinking of just leaving the ramp down but using a comealong to pull the tent up high enough that I can easily lift the end and hold it up with maybe an airplane wing stand or similar
Great video 👍 You don't happen to live in NE Texas do you?
DFW Area, does that constitute NE Texas?
@@HoustonBrownPhotography Yes, I'm in Greenville. Lets go camping in our 4Runners 😁
@@CliffShomette Soon as it starts to cool off a bit I will be heading to the Ozarks. Maybe we can meet up there some time then.
I stayed at Rincon 1 last spring. I thought it was a great place. I poured myself a cocktail and sat down to enjoy it when I heard what I thought was a bear near me growling. Turned out to be a pure white stallion burro checking me out. His harem was on the hill to the south of the campsite. Enjoyed your video.
What an awesome experience. Happy it wasn't a bear. :)
Putting some boat trailer bunk material will help. I use a game hoist.
great idea 👍👍👍
I love this, thank for making it. I am going to try to explore the big bend ranch this winter. I like the second campsite you were at, I think you called it Rinkon 2 but I thought I heard you say that it was a walk in sight. Was it ok to drive the truck right up to the table? I may try to go to that one.
According to the website they are both walk in but 002 is definitely a walk-in where as 001 you can pull your car right up to the bench if you like. Yes, the site says 75 foot walk-in but there is nothing there to prevent you from pulling in. As you can see in the video, my truck is parked right past the picnic bench. A great isolated spot.
Amazing spot!!!!!! Where is this?
Yanmar tractor. Front end loader. Forks and straps. One man process.
Where off Aqua Chiquita was that spot. Taking the kids up this weekend and looks perfect. I am way more familiar with CO, but this is half the distance and more familiar with the area around Santa Fe
Headed to Taos area myself with an overnight in Tucumcari, NM. Did not feel like driving 11 hours then setting up camp. That's a betting for one person. Enjoy!!!
I grew up in El Paso. Back in the '60s and '70s, we had some property about 5 miles east of Cloudcroft, where we would go to beat the heat. I lived there and in Cloudcroft for about three years. I love that area. The afternoon rains would drop the temperature from 15 to 20 degrees. I now live in the northern NM mountains near Santa Fe. It is beautiful here in the mountains of New Mexico.
Don, thanks for watching the video. I am about to head that way in about 3 days and spend some time camping in the Carson Natl. Forest in and around Taos. Been looking forward to it for a while. Do you happen to have and insights for a first timer in that area. Perhaps so good places to go, maybe next to a stream? I know they are few and far between up there, at least that is what I have heard.
108 only because you guys have high humidity I live in Yuma AZ 115 is a normal 108 dry heat perfect weather 😅
I've been going there for about 25 years. Kinda wish you hadn't posted this video.
I spent hours getting my Roam tent on my 4-runner last night. I was angling towards this as a solution. Brilliant sir.
One definitely needs to find the least path of resistance when putting on a roof top tent. Hopefully this helps you reduce those hours you spent putting on the ROAM tent.
brilliant, This method has other applications as well. Thank you kindly!
Happy it helped.
I was wondering where you bought the screw in bracket to mount the roof top tent to the rack. That is a very clever idea.
They came with the iKamper RTT. I think you can buy them on their website
Ossom 🎉🎉🎉
Awesome!!!
Best UA-cam video I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing your brilliant solution.
You can’t make fires until the burn ban is formally lifted! At least smart law abiding people don’t.
what campsite is this at?
Where was this spot at? assuming along nfw 106?
Albert Pike area
Any tips on how to find this hidden gem? I’ve been doing some map recon and can’t pinpoint with much confidence. I’m going to head out to Angelina in July and would love to disperse camp a night by the water.
Life saver! This is genius!
Hope it helps for you.
Fantastic video! great editing and drone footage. Keep it up. I have been to BBRSP a handful of times and love it. Just got back from Guale and Rincon a few days ago. VERY RUGGED and need 4WD. Sub'd!
Appreciate the kudo's. I have really developed a love for this place. Will be heading back in the fall as I have missed the spring visit. This visit was pretty good timing. I have been in April and it is beautiful.
Did you get the new osmo pocket 3? Footage looks great. I almost made it out to Guale 2 in February but had to reschedule. Looks like it’s definitely worth it! I heard it can get pretty windy. That’s pretty normal for solar honestly . I have a 200 watt and get around 100ish.
Yes, the Pocket 3 is great but just a little fragile for outdoor run and gun but so far so good. I am pretty happy with the solar, I have got as much as 360 watts out of the 2 panels. But now I have put in a 30V converter and I can charge with that while the engine is running at about 400watts and that great for the Ecoflow Delta 2.
Thank God my RTT weighs 80 lbs and I can put in on top of our Honda Element by myself (without any type of equipment).
When I was there in the fall of 2019, I was told in no uncertain terms “No grey or black water dumping is permitted in the park interior” even to put out your campfire. My cabover has just 10 gallons each. We you allowed to dispose of your gray water on the ground at the state park.
I spoke with the park ranger for about an hour. He asked me a lot of questions about my truck as he was interested in overlanding. I talked about all my gear. He even said I could fill up my 30 gallon water bladder right there at the station. He never mentions anything about disposing of grey water. He did mention no cat holes though.
Mayhill is nice ..did you look for Gold
I enjoyed your video. Subbed. Keep it up!
Brotha…this is awesome! I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how to mount and dismount my tent. Can’t wait to try this out. Thanks for sharing 😄👍🏽
You are welcome. Hope it works out as well for you as it has for me.
Hi what type of tent mounts are those?
iKamper. Came with the tent.
Impressive editing skills!
