Yes, your computer needs to be connected to use STEMS. The RX3 does not currently support STEM stand-alone. Hopefully, a future model or firmware update will support stand-alone STEMS.

To add sounds to your sampler, click on the sampler panel in the top-left corner and add each sample to the respective panel. If your track is not analyzing correctly, right-click on it and select "show in finder" to ensure the track is present and formatted in MP3, WAV, or other compatible file formats. Additionally, make sure that the analysis lock is not enabled for the track. Lastly, re-analyze the track and select your desired options via the analysis menu.

Yeah I feel the same it was a great piece of gear sad that they decided to end it people used it for visuals as well. I hope you find one your looking for keep searching one may pop up for a deal.

You can connect them via the RCA line inputs in the back or a USB Hub to and laptop. There is not an ethernet (Pro link) port on the back of the RX3, so a direct link to the CDJs via a Cat5 cable is not currently available. Most CDJ users connect the CDJs to each other and use the link feature to switch libraries on a single USB Stick. So, technically, you can connect them. It just wouldn't be as convenient as one might hope.

If the videos don't help, try asking the right questions to get help with what you are trying to get out of your gear or setup. I understand a new piece of gear can be frustrating. Plenty of people find inspiration and help by exploring the videos I create. Also, this is my channel, my platform, and my audience. RX3 is the most stable and functioning controller that is similar to the CDJ 3000's right now, Alpha Theta have something new cooking for maybe release early Jan - Feb 2025, but that beast of a thing will be really heavy and expensive. maybe 4-5K at release

Yeah the cable needs to be a USB to USB type B cable like one of these amzn.to/4fZrq4n or the adapter like this one amzn.to/3XliRJJ and make sure the app is updated once you have all of that it will take a few times of toggling the wifi off and choosing the connect to player option for it to work but once you get the routine down its pretty easy.

Also, technically, you can run the CDJs into the line inputs. You would just have to beat match manually like you would if you were playing on vinyl-assuming you've played on vinyl.

Yeah and quite difficult to connect Bluetoth as well. took us over 40 minutes in a quite open air space with no disruptors like heavy wifi or bt traffic. Not a good sign, happened several times on different machines as well.

Yeah I just commented on this as well its one you do have to turn the wifi off Hou may have to toggle it a few times for the connect to cdj option to appear also making sure you have the right cable and firmware is updated to latest as well as app will help make it a smoother process. @@MusicGearMondays Thanks for answering my question. Don't think I'm quite ready to upgrade my system, but mostly I use my MPC Live to record audience response and reuse that in my show. So maybe if I just run the mics that I use for that into the DJS 1000 and then back into one of my channels on my DDJ 1000? That is what I am doing with my MPC Live unit, but the signal is a little weak. Is there any way that I can use the other things that the DJS-1000 offers with my DDJ 1000? Maybe I just keep my MPC Live and look into using an audio interface? Thanks again!

@@garyusinger yes you can still run the line inputs or 1/4 inputs to record and sample into the DJS similar to the way you use the MPC the only think you can’t do is use pro link features that mainly for beat syncing on auto. But you can always manually sync the bpm on the DJs so it’s not so big of a deal I show an example of that in one of the videos. Essentially it’s very similar to the MPC just in a CDJ form factor.

in theory, you can repeat the steps on any XDJ, but I would recommend doing that way before you play your show to avoid any issues coming to show time.

Do not use shitty flash-drives, i use Sandisk 16/32/128 and Samsung SSD like T3 and T5 but be careful with T7 and T9, they get hot as F and may fry your USB circuitry. Western Digital have worked well since many many years. I bought a Usb cable lock (Cage) for my Samsungs and never had a connection failure or (Emergency loop issue) after that. I would highly recommend people to buy that ASAP if you are in a pro environment.

Thanks for watching! In terms of recording your set there is a pioneer dj app that you can use to record sets with allot of the 900 series mixers. With other apps you may need a mobile interface. Currently as it stands the Rekordbox DJ app doesn't allow you to record into it. Hopefully we see an update on the future that could unlock that feature it would be super helpful. If I find anything that might fit this REC area for mobile I will definitely make another video about it✨🫡👍

How long have your owned and used yours, been outside yet?, i have used three separate machines and all of them had issues on the hardware itself, not the software so be just aware

@elementsofnatureambientnat8311 played on others, rx3 seemed better build quality which I was shocked by but the opus loaded faster, 4 channels standalone etc. I'd not buy either, and personally just wait for the AZ coming out soon 😉. Currently I use a flx4 and it's fine, bar the crappy tempo faders

Mike, I feel you, man. Everyone is trying to sell you something on the internet but calm down there. "FRAUD?" this video was made over three years ago, and at the time, this was the plug-in I was exploring as far as cryptograms go. As far as 2024, yeah, there are tons of places to find similar outcomes, but no one is forcing you to go out and buy this plug-in. in fact I'm pretty sure I sent it to everyone in my live or chat for free. yeah the demo is limited but for the $15 Sub its work using to organize your library and then cancelling when your not using you can always re sub if you wanted to later.

Yeah I only made this video becuase it was the easiest option there aren't any other programs out there that make it as simple. You can try Conversion Utility which I think is free or cheaper but it's a bit of work and not sure it supports silicon users if your on a newer Mac. You can also export you XML files and convert to import but that's a long process as well. If you know any easier Free options please send them over I would love to cover that as well.

Why would you, both SDJ 1000 and RMX are overrated as F, i used mine maybe three or four times at tops on tour, i grew out of it in a bout two weeks. Try to improve your technical skills on the controllers instead. If you look at clubs, events and streamers, not many even use the RMX 1000 and it's there just for show. and to spend almost 1000$, that to me is dumb. If you want a simple thing to use, aim for the RMX 500, TWO buttons and you are rocking without missing the gig and drop the audience attention. RMX 1000 is way way overhyped. And the SDJ sounds really bad, for a pro product.

No currently it works like using your phone as a harddrive, The Music is downloaded to the rekordbox app via dropbox or google drive on the device syncing with your current rekordbox library. Then you plug into the player and use similar to a USB stick. I think in future versions that would be the end goal to have something mobile you could use streaming services on.
