got it since summer. In my opinion it's a great piece of gear and I can't wait to see the new implementations in live 12. However I have the non-standalone version and I'm not planning to upgrade it for now since I don't think it's worth it yet.
Yeah I agree stand alone seems to be hit or miss but the new updates in general are pretty stellar. I can't wait for live 12 so many cool new features!
Ableton ran a sale during last November I believe. Put it out with 25% off on standalone. I'm hoping they do this sale end of this year as well on the upgrade kit
You can use it for a Ableton live DJ set and yes you can connect 1/4inch out to speakers 🔊 I use to do allot of DJ sets in Ableton it was super fun live mash up style.
There is a stand alone option that comes with a processor and memory the standard model is just the midi controller with the option to upgrade the internals at a later date. The one I was using in the video was just the midi controller version.
