In my eyes BF3 was the champion back in 2011, although very slightly. The God awful campaign of BF3 comparing to MW3 was embarrassing and the reason why BF3 just wasn't about to cut it. Also MW3 had a lot more game modes and ended their story campaign pretty good. But I got to shoot it for BF3's push for innovation. Seriously playing it now, impresses me that this was a thing back in 2011! A lot of fps games still doesn't rival the amount of detail and effort that went into BF3, sometimes even the graphics. I wanted to see this trump over COD or be the new COD, but that never happened and I praised cod once again with MW 2019. The change that impresses people that its STILL using the same engine that COD has always ran, but it looks great, heck in some cases, better than more modern BF games. I doubt BF6 or whatever they call it, will bring back to said formula. But it would be sweet if the devs gave a crap once again.

They are selling Cloud games. I've had gamepass ultimate for years. And tried cloud gaming on my phone and tablet. Played fine at times. But just like Netflix , It's not reliable. Movies and shows display poor resolution and stuttering. So gamers today require strong Internet connection. In KY we don't have that. High speed and it sux when many are using data and the company Throttled the speed to accommodate. So I'm physical games all the way. Except for extreme sales. Five dollars or so.

Highest cost, lowest passion. Gaming had become an industry where it can feed on itself. Back in the day you had to make good games to get regular people to play or consider buying a console. Now everyone will buy anything a big company puts out just because it’s what’s new. My original Xbox is what I’ve been playing recently. 360 is still my favorite by far

UIs this generation have gotten absolutely horrid. PS5 is clunky, Xbox is painfully horrible, I personally hate the Switch UI. Consoles are just trying to do too much, I don't want the pains of playing on PC to leak into these consoles.

I got so fed up with consoles and having to pay for online. I built a gaming pc and have never looked back. Now I get the best of all the consoles and don’t have to deal with the disappointment anymore. Plus I can emulate and play almost anything for free.

Live service flood is horrible, we dont want to constantly pay for games.

This has definitely been the worst by far. But it’s been ongoing for quite some time. I grew up with the Atari 2600 and watched closely with everything after. I felt much disappointment going into the 2000’s. In the 90’s I had a whole lot of titles from Electronic Arts and LucasArts. All of those titles started turning into crap the following decade and never recovered. Some of my favorite companies were bought by other companies and went straight downhill. Activision and Blizzard I once had great respect for are something I no longer buy from. Bethesda hasn’t done anything to turn my head for a while. At least Capcom and Konami have put out some collections of older games and a small number of surprises but not enough to get me excited. FromSoftware has some frustrating titles but good to great ones. I beat Elden Ring and I still need to play Armored Core 6 which is the type of game I would like. If I did own a console it would be a Nintendo Switch. It’s got a few games that are fun and enjoyable with friends and family. I have absolutely no interest in having a PlayStation 5 or Xbox. I have a gaming rig and don’t need anything else because most AAA titles or exclusives on these consoles are junk.

There's games that came out on PS4 only on the west, but have a Japanese PS3 version. That means in a sense that PS4 was not as big of a necessity. It's probably the same or worse with the PS4 to PS5. If they're going to release a console with less features than the previous one, why not KEEP making GOOD games for the previous one?

RRV is really good. The presentation is top notch. Once you get the feel for the handling it's very satisfying. The normal difficulty feels just right too. You do have to work for it and that AI can be annoying AF. But RRT4 I could win easily on tracks I'd never even raced before on the standard difficulty. That's not how a racing game should be.

I’m in a weird position where I never grew up with console exclusives. I had an Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, but I never played them for the Xbox Titles. I only played them for games my friends and I could play together like Terraria, Minecraft, or stuff I wanted to try myself, such as Fortnite. Because of this, I could not be more satisfied with my Xbox Series X due to its power

Nostalgia often clouds judgement, it’s not that the 360 era or the ps2 era were bad, but they were products of their time, they were great, and the games were fun, but I think we’ve been bombarded by bad games today, just like we were in 2007, but we don’t remember them anymore, I believe we will look back and see what flaws there were yes, but the 9th generation of gaming consoles have had some really and truly amazing games

My ps5 sometimes even struggles to play my last gen games. And I thought we were getting a leap forward in games.

The "outdated" games argument is a "first world" problem. Having a game run on older or less capable hardware, allows others to enjoy it too. time is currency.

8:55 Nintendo does not apply. The switch isn’t really even a competitor in the space. They created their own space because of their exclusive IP. You can/should own a Switch and Ps5 or Switch and PC. But there is no point in having a Xbox and PS5
