Rear Seat Entertainment doesn't exist as part of a Tesla option. Driver's and front passengers get everything! However, if you have young kids who you don't want to give a tablet to for long road trips, and you don't want to spend a ton on a custom configuration, this is a cheap alternative that is really easy to use that does the job!

      Bro. That looks awful. Lol. I did the same repair but did it old school. Wetsand to level with base and clear. Came out a bit better than yours but not by much. I ended having the panel repainted. That's the only way to get it 100%

    did my deep rock chips on my tesla, found that if u let the blob dry and hit it with the blending solution, you'll get a better result.

      Yes! Don't do the paint on the side and squeegee. Just blob it carefully along the scratch then solution it but use a flat small block with the towel and supplies cleaner liquid

    This is old now but I did the same for my X so thanks for the upload! I bought triple suction mount kit, the tablet bracket and the extension to get it low enough for my taste. I actually got the triple suction and removed 1 of them for inside the car usage, but will have the 3rd one as option if I want to video outside of the car - $62 Delkin Devices Fat Gecko Dual Suction Camera Mount (DDMOUNT-Suction) & Fat Gecko Tablet and iPad Bracket (DDMNT-UTAB1)(Bracket only) - $25 Fat Gecko Extension Kit for Dual Suction

    I'm starting to think Tesla vehicles just have weak or poor quality paint and glass. I've had mine less than 2 months and already have a paint chip on the hood and a 1mm sized windshield chip.

    I just tried Tesla’s kit on a round chip near the rear wheel, and it was equally disappointing after hours of attention. The touched up spot is very dull and obvious (and car polish doesn’t help).

    Tesla gave me the number of a ding repair guy and for example for 225 dollars he could smooth that ding in your door. He did mine on my Model 3 and then said for the scratch don’t use the Tesla tools instead use a sharp toothpick without excess paint to apply inside the scratch which I will try. I did not like the job you did here by following the instructions.

    As a detailer if you buy a Tesla just spend 1-3k on a front end PaintProtectionFilm ‘PPF’. Tesla paint is a hard paint to wash and correct any scratches.

    Tesla's paint quality is horrible.... I have 1100 miles on mine, and already chips on my front bumper... 3 of them. I've had my motorcycle for 4 years, 20k miles, and no paint chips....they need to work on that. The vehicle quality and capabilities themselves are amazing. I have the 2022 M3P

    Water is weight ..consider filling up when you arrive ...or use bottled water as we do. Use camp bathroom facilities and shower when available or invest in a cassette toilet which is very easy to use .This all saves about worrying about tank levels . Ybor

      Very true! But one thing we enjoy doing is using Boondocker's Welcome, which means you are at someone's private residence and using their land. So not exactly an option to use their bathroom and shower facilities. :)

    I am glad to see Tesla modelX tow an Alto 21 series. Thank you for this video. What was your Watthr per km or miles? I heard 90 speed and I assumed it was km. Per miles is more important but I can convert it. Are going you going to make a consumption video of the Model X with the Alto?

    • @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112
      @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112 2 роки тому

      Our Watt Hour/Km was probably about double what we were used to. So above 400+ but of course heavily dependent on terrain.

    Thank you so much, I really want to buy a Alto F2114 but am really worried about the small black tank capacity. I don't know how long will a 54 litter black tank last for 2+1 family. Now I have better idea. Looks like I should worry more about the gray tank...

    • @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112
      @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112 2 роки тому

    I have been looking at the Model X (I likely will end up with a Y). How do you find traveling in the winter? Do you home charge? Did you get a level 2 charger installed? Or are you close to a Super Chargers?

    • @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112
      @thecanadiantesla4aexperien112 2 роки тому

      Winter driving is just like towing a trailer except not as bad. Sub Zero and beyond temperatures you can expect your battery to deplete by 40% not only due to range but also because you probably don't want to freeze. 😁 When we bought our Tesla there were no local Superchargers but we charge at home so it isn't a problem. Now there is a service centre with a Supercharger two years later, plus also access to the network along the major highway for us. But we only use those when traveling. I've got a video for our Tesla Charger installation from a few years back if you're interested.

    I looked up this video because I just bought the kit due to 2 scratches in my rear M3 door jamb. Not sure how it got there. In any case, I noticed you put the paint on top and to the right of the scratch and then squeegeed it from 8 to 2 o'clock (left to right).. That's moving the paint a way from the scratch. Either put the paint to the left of the scratch or squeegee it from right to left. Thanks for the video though.
