King of Limbs is very similar to Hail To The Thief, with a few of the songs being some of the bands best works, and some of the others are mostly fillers and just alright. Like, Lotus Flower, Separator, Codex are some of the bands best. You'd like it.

I REALLY recommend the live performance of Alice in Chains - Love, Hate, Love (Live at the Moore). One of the best vocal performances I've heard, Layne's control and delivery in it is mind blowing.

Muse - Origin Of Symmetry (sounds like Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, but with a more spacerock sound) Muse - Absolution (My second favorite album of all time, OK Computer is my number one) Kashmir - Zitilites (A Danish rockband that also took inspiration from Radiohead and Jeff Buckley) Dizzy Mizzy Lizzy - Dizzy Mizz Lizzy (Another Danish rock band. Their sound is alot like grunge in the 90's like Nirvana. It is the best selling rock album of all time in Denmark. They were only 18 when they made it) Nick Drake - Pink Moon ( A very calming and comfortable folk album. I would recommend you guys research this guy a bit if you listen to it, he has a very interesting story) Tim Christensen - Honeyburst (A softrock/folk album. The singer/guitarist from Dizzy Mizz Lizzy went solo after Dizzy Mizz Lizzy split up in the 90's. He created a beautiful and awesome record that is still very popular in Denmark to this day. In Rainbows live from The Basement is a must for any Radiohead fan, its like being in their rehearsel room sat in the corner with your jaw on the floor. It is magical, in every sense of the word. I've been to hundreds of gigs and festivals, I've seen Radiohead 7 times including the legendry Glastonbury 97, I got to see every single band I liked live if they were still touring/alive.... and some musical legends like Floyd in 94, David Bowie and Page and Plant at Glastonbury, Bob Dylan, The Who, Neil Young the list goes on and on... I would happilly give up all of those gigs and festivals to have been sitting in that basement when they recorded that session.

The high note that he holds at the end of Grace is the most unbelievable singing I've ever heard.

King of Limbs from the basement

I saw this concert in LA. They only performed this concert a very limited number of times and my friends and I were lucky enough to get tickets to the second night of their week in LA. Every time they said “it’s just another brick in the wall” another brick was placed between the band and the audience. The album was a two disc set, by the end of the first disc there was a 30-40’ wall across the stage with the brick filling a backlit signer saying “Goodbye”. Third side of the album they would appear in openings in the wall, like an apartment scene, but “pink” never looks out at the audience. During “Comfortably Numb”, the guitar solo was performed from atop the wall. During the course of the concert, they blew us away with 40’ puppets, a plane crash, and flowers fucking! One buddy said of the flowers fucking, “I almost came and I think that half the audience did!”

It's time to dig into their live shows. Good ones to start with, Glastonbury 1997 and 2003. Jonny, btw, is positively manic live, just all over the place, doing everything.

I recommend you check out their cover of Nobody Does it Better for MTV (back when MTV was a music channel).

if you guys decide to react to The King Of Limbs you should skip the studio album and just do the basement session instead. Take it from me, a huge Radiohead fan, the album is dense, robotic and the production isn't great. It sounds kind of muted and overly dense it's the only album that Nigel kind of messed up. The basement session is fantastic it sounds much better with more organic instruments and two of the songs that weren't on the album are better than half of the album. If you guys haven't done the In Rainbows basement session you should, it's legendary and there are a few songs from other albums and a b-side that's beautiful (Go Slowly). The IR session has no copyright issues at all so you don't even have to chop it up. Beware because the other one does. I feel like if you do TKOL from the basement you will love the record and if you do the studio album you're not going to like it much.

I always saw The Machine in a more simple way. He is talking about growing up and having Big dreams and then realizing you are not special. And by the way, Welcome to the factory you will be working at the rest of your life and Welcome to the Machine you will be standing in front of 9 to 5 M-F. Also the whole sound of the music is being inside a factory and a beating heart of a machine

The best Radiohead live performances are in the basement though for the ones with large crowds the Glastonbury ones are probably the better ones to do for reactions. Also a shout out for the performance of The Numbers from Jonny and Thom done live.
