@@Bigrig2020-c1d Well, I've shot the Legion a few times now, and I find that it hits a bit harder in the palm because of the aluminum frame. That and the price is the reason I didn't buy one of those. Also I think the modularity and being able to change back straps and magwell so that you can make it your own really has a lot more appeal. As far as price goes for both of these, I actually already had the Spectre Comp slide and FCU, so I just needed to purchase a grip module, which was about $50-$60 (if I remember correctly).

@@SchaineCallangan The follower on the magazine. If you look at the front, there is a cut out (or step), and when the mag is empty, the upward force of the spring in the magazine causes that cut out (or step) to engage the slide stop/slide release.

@@raidernation1271 There could be a few issues actually, but the most common is lack of lubrication. Also check if this happens only when the magazine is in. S&W mag springs are notorious for being packed way too tightly, and the more rounds you have in there, the more it restricts the movement of the rounds. I would also check the recoil spring assembly to make sure it's seated properly. Mine had to be spun a particular direction or it would keep the slide from going back together completely. Hopefully one of those simple fixes solve your problems.

@@jimgray6166 Yeah, we shot it at GOALS range day and had our of battery issues. Gorgeous gun, but "forgettable" (I believe I phrased it). You could always send it to us so we can do an actual FULL length review. 😝 On a serious note, one thing you could look into is the DPM Systems company. They make recoil reduction products. It wouldn't be a dramatic difference, but felt recoil would definitely be reduced. We've been playing around with a few of their products on different models we're reviewing, and the results have been positive.

@@TS_Esquire It DOES have a bit of travel. I'm actually looking at an aftermarket option that is said to get rid of about 30% of that, which would be a major improvement. The break isn't all that bad, but the travel is excessive, I'll admit.

@alecmartinez2947 We don't have one of those, and weren't planning to get one because of the kick, but since you mention it, I'll see if I can fire the pro somewhere and see if I think it's worth getting. However, I DO have an upcoming video on the Prodigy. Tis my favorite pewstola now.

@@LarryFrankel I rounded the "feet" on the follower and that did the trick. It seems the issue may have been the follower. However, if you contact S&W about it, they will first tell you to break it in and leave it over night, then try again. If that doesn't work, which it won't, then they'll offer to send you new springs. I don't see how that would help, but-- 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@jasonbowen4132 I thought about getting that one too, but then I reconsidered. The only difference is the aluminum frame (not all it's cracked up to be), exclusive color scheme, and a hefty price tag. Otherwise it's the exact same thing.

@whatwouldlewdo The grip size and contour feels much better. The added weight to the lower changes the harmonics and recoil of the pistol. I almost bought the X macro. But didn't like the grip. So I stayed with a Glock. Until, the gun shop in town finally got a p365 legion in. It is faster to return on target. Hand placement on drawing the pistol is always correct, and grip retention is exactly where it needs to be from the first to the last shot.

@jasonbowen4132 I've shot it quite a few times now at the media range day events we frequent, and I don't feel that much of a difference. Honestly most of these points we're discussing are all subjective anyway, but if it works for you, then great, mate ! I'd pick one up for the right price (although it's now much lower on my list). 😊

@whatwouldlewdo I completely understand. Some people like Smith and Wesson, some like Staccato. But at the end of the day. Most of the carry pistols on the list are all sending 9mm down the pipe. Good luck with your channel. That was a great video.

@@klawrence738 I concur with your statement regarding a small trigger upgrade not being enough to purchase an entire new pewstola. Gotta be a lot more than that. This is where I came into the M&P market though, so for me, this is the better option compared to the original. Then again, didn't the original Shield Plus have really small capacity, something like 8 rds ? That IS a reason to upgrade.

@@joeyphelps11 We had it cerakoted by a local shop. Unfortunately the closest color Radian has to FDE is like a burnt bronze or something. Doesn't blend well at all.

@@CapoKabar At first I didn't think there was a difference between the triggers, by that was because my PC version had a malfunction due to the trigger bar. S&W thought it was the seer and replaced that, but it came back with the same issue. Once I replaced the trigger bar, there is a definite difference between the two. As for losing velocity, I don't really think that matters in most self defense situations because they happen up pretty close. I mean, who is trying to take down a bad guy at 100+ yards away with a micro compact anyway ? 😆

@@whatwouldlewdoWell, in that case you can argue to why not carry a 380 like an LCP Max since the velocity would be comparable with the performance model and we arent trying to win shooting competitions with it. I just dont see a need for the performance model when better sights for the Plus are relatively cheap and the trigger is great already.

@CapoKabar Well, not quite the same argument. .380 is sort of a erratic round, whereas 9mm almost always goes pew. As for having certain components that make a gun shoot better or flatter (comps/ports/red dots, etc) or make the shooter far more accurate, I say go for it. Can you get a hit with a plain Jane pewstola ? Sure, but the more you can help your chances the better. 😆

@ Im former LEO and carried both 9 and 380. The 380 is definitely not an erratic round. It shoots flatter and allows better shot placement. With the loadings nowadays as well as gun capacity, it is a formidable weapon. The 9 isnt a brute round to begin with so most LEO find it unnecessary. In fact, my entire department turned down free ported Glocks from Glock because it did not enhance anyone’s shooting after many trials.

@CapoKabar A LEO you may have been, but I've seen plenty of testing on 380 compared to other rounds. Ejection patterns are often the biggest problem, and just nearly miss from falling back into the chamber. Check it out some time, and see if you can spot the difference. As for carrying .380, there is much less support for 380, so the options are far more limited. Most of the offerings are incredibly small and can be hard to hold onto. Not saying it should never be an option, but definitely at the bottom of my list.

@@pohalsted8847 The carry comp is quite a lot more than the Shield Plus though, so it would be out of the budget for most folks. With that in mind, you (usually) can't go wrong with the Shield Plus. I do believe the PC model could have benefited from four more ports on those holes not being utilized. Not sure what they were thinking there.
