I took my dad to see them at San Diego state university, second night of the tour, my father served in south Vietnam as a marine, then in his 70’s he did three missions with contractors in Mosul Iraq. My father is 77 now, the man’s a fucking legend in my eyes!!! He got out of nam and came home and was a part of all the anti war protests etc. so these songs meant something to him. We even got vip seats and people literally were parting the walkway for us ( he uses a wheelchair sometimes) I told people “ retired marine combat vet “ he was getting salutes etc. At one point in the concert my dad had tears in his eyes! A night I’ll never forget!!!

If this is an off-night for them, then that just shows how naturally great they are! And a high level they are. Despite the technical issues (Jeannette telling tech people at intro), they had not much to work with, and it only shows how high their natural level is. Take note that recently they've been incorporating their live band into their shows.

Philly always loved Rush. It was great listening to Pierre and WMMR, they played a lot of Rush and was a must to have on when Rush was in town. My first time seeing them in Philly was the Presto tour, crowd was crazy for them. Saw them there a few other times with the Counterparts show being the best. Bravado from that show made the live album Different Stages. If you were there, you knew why, awesome.

Geddy is one of those guys who looks more badass the older he gets.

These three raised the bar for all musicians! What a inspiration for so many people in a time where people are in need of a true honest sincere example. What a legacy they leave in their wake!! Very grateful the ten year old version of me Heard that song that summer evening. Changed my life!!!
