Excellent video! I got Go Pro 12 a week ago and overheats every 23 minutes. Very frustrating. Using external power bank maybe is a solution at least for some of the problems. :) Thank you!

I know you said this is worst case without a PFD, but I would love to see you do it wearing a foam PFD. I believe it's worse while wearing one because it's more cumbersome and the PFD can get stuck on things you may have on the kayak.

Not everyone is a snowboarder! Living in Bangkok, cold is definite not an issue. I mostly use my 11 while out on my motorcycle filming the back alleys and paths inaccessible to cars. It overheats constantly. It even died and cooked the battery while doing a 4K time lapse of a pair of nesting birds returning to feed their chicks! I think the external power is my fix. I can use the Apple cable and the Ulanzi door that only accesses the USB port. Thanks

ive had go pro for years used them intensely for 3 to 4 years and im done, time to buy something else i think, every version has frozen, every version has overheated ... 10 years still not fixed the issue, its hot in the uk atm and im able to record for around 5 minutes before the go pro switches itself off as its started to melt, its possible to work with a camera like this

I would make notes of the key points you want to make. One key point is how many miles per gallon were you getting on the stock tires and how many miles per gallon were you getting on the new ones? If you are comparing the two, try to be direct and speak clearly i.e. for noise X was much quieter than Y; for mpg X got xmpg while Y got y mpg's, etc. It was hard to follow you, but a great video nonetheless and I got a lot from it...

Yes. I threw the roe back into the creek. I personally do not eat roe, and although it can be cured to make excellent bait for silvers and kings, I was only in town for one more day and wouldn't have time to use it. Salmon roe is pretty easy to come by in Alaska, it isnt a big deal to toss it back. Most people do. Doing so also helps sustain the fishery by providing nutrients and food to the feeding fish in the river like trout, silvers, or kings.

Been doing what you have for last few years. It is def easier without the camera battery in with an external battery. But they should eliminate the overheating crap by now its 2024. Make an aluminum body with fins for heat disipation like come on now. or even a easy fan attachment for dang sake ha

my gopro hero 9 starts to overheat and shuts down/freezes after an hour or so. I've never used a battery and always powered through the media mod. This is the 3rd gopro to fail on me and will never buy again.

Hello, I plugged my gopro into a power pack with no battery and recorded a video for 2hrs and my go pro was extremely hot, after watching this video I had done what you did yet it still got really hot, any ideas why?
