The Emulsion Alchemist
United States
Приєднався 15 жов 2020
My channel is dedicated to bringing back to life the obscure, informational, lost, and forgotten films of our past. As a lifelong collector of 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm film, I feel it is essential that I make my collection available for all to see and enjoy. Every film you see on my channel has come from my own personal collection. I only post films that are in public domain, and I own the actual prints. I never reuse any others content. Each film is professionally scanned, from there I restore them myself.
Film is art, film is history, film is image memories of life. But unfortunately, film doesn't last forever. As time takes its toll, the film stock deteriorates, or the images fade away to nothing. Through chemical treatments, restoration techniques, and proper storage, we can extend its life for many years but not indefinitely. The goal is to save the content digitally before is lost forever. Along with films, I will be adding my own tutorials on proper film preservation techniques.

1970's Star Trek U.S.S. ENTERPRISE MEGO Gift Toy Set Commercial , Full Version (Restored)
This film is a true gem. This is the full-length version of the 1970's U.S.S Enterprise toy gift set commercial. There are shorter versions and different commercials on the internet else ware, but not this one. I was lucky to find this on a roll of 1970's toy commercials given to me. Quite a bit of time and effort went into the restoration of this film. Hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do.
This film came from my personal collection. This film was not downloaded from any website and is not reused content. This restoration is my work. The restoration process started with cleaning, repairing, and spooling the original 16mm optical sound print. Next the scanning to digital process was performed on the Retro Scan motion picture film scanner in 2k resolution. This film was in good physical shape but had quite a bit of color fade. luckily there was no substantial scratches or damage. Excess film grain noise was removed and the images upscaled to 4k resolution utilizing Topaz AI software. Then extensive color correction was performed in Davinci Resolve. After multiple color correction passes, noise reduction passes, and image sharpening, the film was processed for dust and scratch removal in Neat Video. Overall, I think this one came out pretty nice.

Boy can you imagine a suburban with a 250 straight 6 in it. I've never seen one.
Corvette died after 82. Everything after is a souless euro trash wanna be.
I had a 77 Chevy Silverado the silver and red only 2 wheel drive but it was a beautiful truck. Bought it new from the factory.
Waaah even my 2006 suzuki 1200 doesnt have forks with hand adjustable damping
Cant wait to go out and trade in my 2006 bandit1200 for one of these today!😂
well now a cb bad breath smokes bad hair bad colours heart attacks and hemroids and ex wives aaaaaa yes late 1970s
I dont mind getting out to lock the hubs gives me a chance to take a pee
I had a 74 corvette that you could almost surf on the waves of the rubber impact front bumper. It was not a good look .
The little car that could have been a great vehicle!...it is too bad GM accountants got a hold of this car and ruined it...Vega was a great looking little car that was introduced with perfect timing into the market but GM had to F'it up like only GM could back then...too bad...
well now computer match springs boy o boy......first a cigarette
il take the detroit in 3/4 ton 6 speed on the floor dually please thansk
The Fords were always rock solid!
Chevrolet LUV is The Rebadged Of The Toyota Hilux it Was Sold in The United States And Puerto Rico And is Built By Toyota in Japan 🇺🇸🇯🇵
And GM would have made money on them if it weren't for those darn kids!
Ford does make good trucks, chevy does too, but the ford maverick is thumbs down.
Had to remove a 1970 chevy chevelle fender, let me tell you it had so many bolts to remove and every part the inner fender the bumper and braces are all metal and everything is metal and plated or zink coated or painted really chevys are well built cars not like today's plastic cars. Have a 63 nova and they are easy to repair engine and body.

Como é bom ver esses vídeos antigos. Pena que no Brasil não tivemos esses caminhões da Chevrolet. 😢😢😢
I surely remember those great cloth/velour seats on our 73 Caprice coupe. The interior was really done nicely, looked great without being gaudy/tacky. Sometimes, simpler is better. The money spent on the seat material and design along with the nice door panels made all the difference.
Ford motor Company F-150 "Job One"
Thanks for posting- it's neat to see the everyday cars from my childhood.
My biggest pet peeve with all of these mid size and smaller cars of the 1970s was the front bench seat. They should have had front buckets seats standard on all models. Much more comfortable, and no one I know ever needed to put 6 people in any car to begin with. 5 passenger seating was all anyone needed. Why an uncomfortable front bench just because someone MIGHT need to carry 6 people some day? I never did, and never knew anyone else who did.
In the uk they were called the Celeste, Me and my brother both had one. my brother worked at the mitsubishi parts warehouse and would bring me parts if I needed them . Once gave me a set of twin webers for my car that had been returned. What a difference they made. I would have one in a jiffy over todays over complicated junk
Awesome time to be a rider. Bike development was crazy fast back then.
I love the crappy cars of the mid 70s. ❤❤❤
Thank GOD blessed me with of them chevy luv diesel 82 it only has 50,000 miles comes with a/c is in good condition.
Look at the garbage quality of Mopars seats at 3:15 nice and wrinkly....thats why nobody bought chryslers and styling was just ugly
ILL TAKE THE 73 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE!!!
My father brought it from Kuwait 🇰🇼 and shipped it to Egypt 🇪🇬. In 1975 . This car was the jackpot to my family, my father worked on it as a driver and we have raised and lived very good from it . He retired it in 1998 after he faced a big competition with the new models. He sadly sold it in 1999 and died 3 years later.
Amazing Machine 💪
I love the unbridled optimism and zest for life inherent in these videos. Right down to the happy, upbeat music.
A “Chevy Caravan”? Now that’s a first.
While the awkward looking 73-77 A bodies were a far cry esthetically from the beautiful 68-72 models the olds and Buick versions came out better than the awful LeMans and Chevelle styling in 73. The 73 A bodies did handle much better than the previous generation. Unfortunately they all suffered from typical mid 70’s maladies: Seriously degraded engine performance, economy and drivability thanks to smog equipment Very poor quality interior trim and exterior decor items Rust issues were also particularly bad
Interesting tidbit, the 73 Grand Am was intended to be the 73 GTO but by that time the GTO name was considered a liability (only 5,000 sold in 72, down from about 100,000 in 66) so it was rebranded the Grand Am. The idea being to distance it from the by then negative stereotype associated with muscle cars and especially insurance costs. They were good cars by 1973 standards with then excellent handling characteristics. Unfortunately the new flexible nose couldn’t hide the rather unpleasant lines of the 73 LeMans A body. Also it suffered from typical 73 era issues like poor emissions related engine performance, premature rust and very poor trim quality.
Keep em coming. My dad shot a lot of the Chevy Trucks and wagons in the 71-74 era through Campbell Ewald; mostly on location in Colorado Springs but also in WY and MT where they shot the Chevy Log Train ad. The gravy train ended with the oil crisis in late 74 as economic conditions changed.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
OMG! I've never seen this! I've never seen Bill Hickman talk so much!! He's usually just hauling tail being chased by somebody. As great as that 73 Firebird is, I bet he still prefers the '68 R/T Charger he drove in Bullitt.
I love the 71-77 tradesman vans, which is basically the same as the 79 aside from the obvious face-lift and other minor changes. Ive owned 3 tradesmans, and i can honestly tell you that old GM vans are far superior in reliability and build quality. If i ever get amother 71/77 dodge van again, i will absolutely change over to pre computer gm powertrain as well as the electrical system. The only pre computer mopar engine i deem reliable is the trusty slant 6. But man they sure ran extra rich right from the factory.
I had a 1977 550E aged 17, great bike, but was disappointed it had no kickstart. Always fancied the 750 but never had one. Remedied that by getting a 1995 gsxr750!
My grandfather has a 70 c10 and he had it parked in his driveway and the neighbor was mowing and a rock got shot and put a big dent in the fender
When Indy cars started road racing again around 1980 first race was at Mid-Ohio. Fastest super v would have qualified on the 6th row of of the IndyCar grid. The race was shortly after Indy and some the cars where still set up for Indy. Some teams did know how to set up the car.
That 1967-era school bus chassis had survived far off into 1990!
Wow this is the closest of bill Hickman speaking fully!!!!
Cool pretty neat
Who ever hauled a 4x8 sheet of plywood? No mention of poor build quality and reliability.
1975 Fury was rebadged midsize car, Gran Fury was giant full size, in 80s it was used for what used to be compact size Diplomat
More sound deadening in the trunk Henry Hill & Tommy DeVito & Jimmy Conway would really appreciate that but not Billy Bats he wanted to be heard LOL
The Buick Apollo was the least popular just look around in that time period Novas every where followed by Ventura/Phoenix then the Omega the Buick version got 86ed first naturally
The Omega factor !
It was close to being a good car. Close, but no cigar.
