He’s the wildcard who is inserted to give the other 5 guys the necessary extra rest. Dodgers are better off if Glasnow starts off on the IL. Same for Kershaw and Bueller if both back. 1. Fried 2. Yamamoto 3. Gonsolin 4. Knack 5. Wrobleski 6. Ohtani Throw in Emmit Sheehan, Bobby Miller, and Nick Frasso when ready. Post season: 1. Glasnow 2. Fried 3. Yamamoto 4. As far as I'm concerned you can talk about Ohtani all you want! Why don't people talk about him even more? It's the off season, so why not? He had 130 RBIs this year. Not impressed? OK, but for 89 of those games he was batting leadoff. I looked up the major league record for RBIs as a leadoff hitter, and it belongs to none other than Mookie Betts, who set it last year. It was 107 RBIs, and he still owns that record, of course, since Shohei batted 2nd for the first 73 games of the season (he also sat out 3 games at some point). 46 of his 130 RBIs came in the first 73 games, so he had 84 in the last 89 games. That means he was hitting more RBIs per game since moving to the leadoff spot than he was batting 2nd. If you prorated that to 162 games, it would be a 152 RBI pace, as a leadoff hitter.

As an American Japanese , the culture here for Japanese is second to none. As a star, he has leverage. Please don't expect Roki Sasaki too much even if he comes to the Dodgers! His records aren't so great compared to Yamamoto's in Japan. Many Japanese commentators say that Sasaki is still very young and he has to improve his physicality a lot more to throw through the whole season in MLB. So, please remind of that! The Gibby at bat was ?8¿ pitches, plus 3-4 tosses over to 1st base cause Mike Davis was doing everything he could to distract Eck. It definitely helped build up the drama. But I also love that Freddie just jumped on the first pitch.

Well, it doesn't look like the Dodgers' manager position will be open any time soon. So, it's a promotion of sorts for McCullough. Maybe if he does well enough, another position will be available for him in the future.

I get that in a traditional sense, this Dodger team wasn't an underdog. But my goodness, each round they weren't the favorites considering each time it was voted on, they were voted against winning the series. I welcomed writers and analysts to pick against the Dodgers at it really did seem to fuel their fire. Each round before the polling, I said "they're going to pick not the Dodgers" and each time that was true. I do believe that they underestimated the depth of the lineup and the depth of the bullpen AND how good the 3 starters were. Also, I still can't believe my generation and onward actually got our Kirk Gibson moment. To this day I can't believe I got to watch that happen. And especially glad that it wasn't a footnote because they actually won AND Freddie was the MVP of the series. Just think of how many amazing moments were in this post season and yet how so few of them hold the same weight as this grand slam will hold years from now. We are lucky.

Mookie has no bussiness at SS, I think it'll be to 2B which is great!!! It doesn't open the space to Soto, it opens a space in general to Outman-Edman-Pages with, hopefully, Teo/Kiké. I think a possibility better than Soto would be to see IF they move Tucker (the only astro I can stomach). An OF of Teoscar-K Tucker and whomever from Outman, Kiké, Pages, or Edman (at times) would be dope.

Personally, I believe Andrew Friedman will make massive pitches with the help of Shohei and Yoshinobu to recruit the best Japanese Talent. After just winning the world series and baseball classics other stars from japan that have played with them will be eager to join the potentially dynasty in LA. I want andrew to trade for Imanaga, and go sign Sasaki, Murakami, and then make pitches to Horiya Miyagi a lefty ace that has connections to Yoshi, Shohei, sasaki and then look at Shugo Maki a future infielder to join Murakami 💙🏆🇯🇵

I don't believe Rizzo's baserunning was a mistake. It ended up looking awkward, but I think it was the right play. You can no longer slide aggressively into second. So, the best thing he can do is legally obstructing the throw. He saw the ball go into Edman's glove and stopped, which again is the smart play there. When the ball popped out, he couldn't restart quick enough to reach the bag.

Simply put, Soto doesn't fit this team. No, question about his talent, but it would be foolishly to spend whatever he and Boras will be asking for. As another example, Pete Alonso is a right handed power bat we can certainly use, but he doesn't fit. I think we're gonna have OF of Rushing, Pages, Edman, and Teo with CT as back up and possibly one last chance for Outman.

Soto is a great DH. But I rather have a DH who can also pitch. He is NOT an outfielder, realistically. I wish he wasn't such a giant liability in the field, but in the World Series, we saw it play out first hand. Yeah, he has an arm, but giving up extra bases for bad routes and jumps hurt a lot when it comes down to it. Especially in October.

Doesn’t make sense to play Lux at SS. Alex Freeland is a lefty batting SS prospect. Keep Lux at 2nd and allow Edman to platoon. Dodgers should sign Willy Adames since he’s a right handed power hitting SS.

Sasaki is getting posted. He wanted to leave last year and the Marines told him to stay for one more year. He did that, now it’s time for them to let him go. They can’t just go back on their word, or they will get a bad reputation with players and nobody will want to sign with them in the future. It’s not all just about money.
