- The Dodgers pitching was a concern over the weekend in San Francisco but maybe not a concern for the regular season. Tyler Glasnow and James Paxton both had terrible starts that put the bullpen in a tough spot. Is there a bigger worry about the pitching when it comes to the postseason? Also, Chris Taylor is going to get a chance to play more third base and be in the lineup more often. He changed his swing and has been really good the past few weeks. Can he stick until Max Muncy returns? Miguel Rojas is settling into the role of everyday shortstop, even though the everyday might need a break here and there. To have the Giants score that many runs is a scenario of what can happen if they have to play SF in the playoffs. No superstars on that team but they have grit. Our ace was bombed. Lucky they avoided a sweep. If Yamamoto doesn’t return, get ready for the inevitable in the playoffs.
It’s not all upon Yamamoto. The Dodgers have alot of other options.
Bobby Miller could come back strong. Bueller could too or Dustin May or Kershaw.
Many things have to go right for either San Diego or San Francisco.
And other teams are faltering too.

You know what’s also bad the past weekend. The umpire behind the plate they were all over the place very inconsistent
I wouldn't be surprised if the Padres make another splash to be a strong playoff contender this year. They have solid starters (Cease, Waldron and King) even without Darvish and Musgrove. Their pen is as good as the Dodgers. They make contact. And like in 2022, they're an underdog against the Dodgers, all the pressure in the playoffs is on LA.

Rosenthal is the one who said Scherzer and Turner were going to San Diego, not Nightengale. And the reason Passan is the best is because he doesn't cover rumors, only actual moves. So when we're talking about rumors, we have the other guys, and we put enough trust in our listeners to decide how much weight to give them.
I hope we get Yoshi back soon. This rotation needs help, badly.
