The Best Wildlife Park Ever, Parc Omega, Canada
This is Parc Omega, between Ottawa and Montreal, in Quebec, an amazing wildlife reserve of 2200 acres, 12 kms of road, and over 400 animals, many roaming free who are used to human interaction. One visit was just not enough so I went twice!

Injured Plover Baby
Переглядів 7443 роки тому
In Australia the Plover nests on whatever flat ground they can find that they deem comfortable. Trouble is it's usually somewhere near where humans walk/drive/bicycle, and dogs play. This one has brand new 3 hatchlings, and just a short while before this, several of us had seen 3 kids come through on bicycles, right past them. They would have startled and the kids likely never saw the tiny hatc...
A driving tour through Arches National Park

This video is a quick drive-through with a few stops, but not all. I've been here before so did not revisit some sights, and added others. Next time I'm getting one of those nice camping spaces, taking my hiking gear, and getting off the road more ... and not mid summer when it's 107F like the first time! (This video was made in early March 2020, so it was empty and cold, expect crowds in Summer).

Going in the direction of Estes Park toward Granby, this drive was way better than I ever imagined. I have lived in Colorado twice, and still go there often, but somehow had always passed on this drive, believing I had already driven through mountains and I knew what it looked like. Not so! This is one of the best, a truly beautiful drive, and I say #justdoit

Please read before commenting. I was going super slow (video always looks faster than actual speed), I was not looking AT the phone just holding it up, stopped recording at approaching traffic, and the road was very wide. Now that you feel safer, grab a coffee and enjoy the drive!! The Moki Dugway, a spectacular switchback road in south eastern Utah that takes you up almost 2,000 feet to the to...

Balcony House ladder climb, Mesa Verde 2017

Ever wondered how we tourists get up to those cliff dwellings? Here's a look at part of that journey. Two young families climbing the big ladder up to Balcony House, which has the most interesting "journey" entering, going through, and exiting. When they tell you to keep both hands on, you have to get creative when you have little kids! One mom was 8 months pregnant and had charge of a toddler,...

It beggars imagination trying to figure out why anyone would post a video that is so unflattering to themselves. But, what I really want to know is, is everyone in the Bostin area as ignorant and arrogant as you two stumps? I don't know whether to laugh or be embarrassed on your behalf. Stay off the interstates, kids. That kind of driving is clearly out of your league.

How in the world can you drive the Moki Dugway and miss the most spectacular overlook in the Southwest? Muley Point is the first left hand turn at the top of the Dugway (In fact your pull off at 7:01 you are looking directly at the point). You drive several miles West on a decent dirt road and you are there. There are plenty of videos here on YT.

Agreed. I don't understand why people risk their lives just for fun. I guess they don't really get the whole thing about only having one life, and when it's over, it's over. Just give it some thought. While you are lying at the bottom dying, will your last thought be: "Man what a rush that was!" or "I sure wish I hadn't done that." Darwinism.

We drove down the Moki Dugway after a week long rafting trip down the San Juan in late 2012. We got out of the river just above lake Powell at the last possible place to exit. It was the late afternoon and the sun was low. The shadows made the landscape incredible. I had never been down it and never even knew about it until we drove up to it. My brother knew about it and didn't say anything because he wanted it to be a surprise. Even he had not anticipated the atmospheric conditions from the sun being so low. My friend was driving my Toyota Tacoma pickup with a bunch of rafting hardware in the back and I was able to enjoy the ride all the way down. I will never forget it. This same friend and I had another driving experience years before in San Diego driving at night in the fog, so this was another great memory for us. Oh, it is NOT dangerous at all. Just drive sanely. Thanks for posting this. It brought back a great memory.

We happened on Moki Dugway by accident... following Google Maps in May of 2018 in our 25' Class C RV. We had to take it down. My husband's fingerprints are permanently embossed into the steering wheel, cause he hates heights... I thought it was stunning! Thanks for the video I only managed to get snapshots while being quiet and still so my darling could concentrate on not hitting the side of the RV on the rocks. Praise the Lord we did not meet another vehicle coming up, it would have been a close close squeeze!

We had NO idea it was even coming, until we saw the sign at the top 😳 It was SO scary.
