Injured Plover Baby

In Australia the Plover nests on whatever flat ground they can find that they deem comfortable. Trouble is it's usually somewhere near where humans walk/drive/bicycle, and dogs play. This one has brand new 3 hatchlings, and just a short while before this, several of us had seen 3 kids come through on bicycles, right past them. They would have startled and the kids likely never saw the tiny hatchlings scatter. In this close-knit quiet over-55 neighbourhood, several people had noticed three normal chicks just a short while before this.
