Balcony House ladder climb, Mesa Verde 2017

Ever wondered how we tourists get up to those cliff dwellings? Here's a look at part of that journey. Two young families climbing the big ladder up to Balcony House, which has the most interesting "journey" entering, going through, and exiting. When they tell you to keep both hands on, you have to get creative when you have little kids! One mom was 8 months pregnant and had charge of a toddler, another mom had her sleeping toddler in a front pack. Risky business taking tiny kids, but they all made it up.
