@cgunarathna9157 thanks for the love and support legend! To be honest it’s quite inconsistent in New South Wales. I’ve had cars where a blue slip seems to be enough. but there are some where a mechanic is not willing to give a blue slip and an engineer needs to be engaged. So I think I would allow worst case for an engineer and if you get lucky a blue slip or safety check is sufficient.

Hey mate thanks! I don’t remember exactly how much I paid for insurance but it wasn’t too different to a locally delivered 4x4 of a similar age. I don’t think it’s as big of an issue as it used to be

Yeah the suspension it came with is decent but I plan over time to go over it all, research what’s good and fine tune it to what I want

@onstreetgarage yeah, looks very familiar 😅, main difference is the hyperflex vs flipped. just a heads up, engineering anything other than superior is basically a no go. Wanted to go either long arms or 4 link, but couldn't get anyone to sign off, also the down side of 4" 35s 😆

Thanks! It’s been a really hard learning curve with the little ke25 it’s tested me mentally for sure so very excited to have it started and being able to use it. I’m going to put that in the calendar, my family usually head away camping but if it doesn’t happen I’d love to get out to a show! @@onstreetgarage I'm leaning towards boost tech as I'm chasing 300+ HP but also the uni chip. Really not sure which one is more suitable.

@slothparade4184 yeah I’m looking at the same too, at this stage I’m leaning toward uni purely based on price as I’m not sure you get that much more for the money with the boostec.

@@wyattoutlaw2370 the colour is called sandy taupe 4E9 is the paint code. Factory colour on the new 70 series cruisers, I actually did a video on importing from Japan, a few good tips in there mate 👍🏼

Haha I like that 106 series. I sold the sub tank and all its wiring as the JDM car didn’t have a sub tank and it looked like a nightmare to try retrofit it out of the 105, Ended up buying a long range main tank so got the same fuel capacity as standard main and sub

@onstreetgarage ah nice work, it was more for a outdoing Toyota at their own game by adding a subtank to a 101, but you have well outdone that anyways by slipping a 105 chassis under it. Looking forward to the next vid mate.

@79series I did consider going down that path but decided the long range tank was probably better. Means all the weight sits in between the axles and I have a bunch of space to mount a water tank and potentially compressor up the back

I’ve bought a fair bit of stuff from Japan in the past. I might even put a video together showing a few different ways to show the different options. Mostly buy off yahoo, crooober etc and there’s a couple different shipping methods I might show comparisons

Yeah I’m very happy with it. I’ve just got it up for the drive home. Once it’s back home I’ll get it painted, I’ve picked a colour and hopefully will get it home later this week

@@onstreetgarage great Im trying to to get it where I feel comfortable going offroad. (Rusty things in the rainy bad weather of switzerland) It is capable, but it needs some love. And its not really legal here so i have to make it comfortable on the highway as well to get to countries where it is legal to take it offroad. The closest destinations are albania or maybe Marocco.

@@onstreetgarage also Im always ordering parts from Aus because 4x4's are not really a huge thing here so parts are hard to find. 🥺
