Hey man, you’re missing the foam that runs between the radiator and rad support. It makes a quite a difference in keeping the water temps down, definitely recommend putting some in before your next test
Sweet job. Am eager to hear the results of your road testing. Nice job on the intercooler paint and mods all around - keeping things looking mostly stock, just turning up the capability and looks a bit! I wonder if the old bonnet scoop will help (bring in cool air to the engine bay?) or hurt (create a high pressure system or mess with airflow in some way?) or are you planning to block that off? I have def. heard that venting hot air OUT of the engine bay is a good thing, so maybe venting cool air in basically accomplishes the same thing....
Thanks, I’m a big fan of optimizing things without going over the top. I’m definitely keen to block off the scoop and see whether that changes anything heat wise. I’d be happy to keep it if Theres a benefit but also ditch it if it’s creating any issues.
@peterfraser9765 that’s not a bad idea. Only difference I’ve noticed with coolant temps is my factory gauge doesn’t budge anymore whereas it used to move up a little bit on hot days on long runs. I’m guessing that’s due to replacing the fan and putting new oil in it. I might swap the scoop around and see if I get any change 👍🏼
Well done, I like what your doing and the production
Thanks David appreciate it mate. I’m trying to improve my videos bit by bit
Mate, looking great. Keen to see the EGT after this.
Thanks mate, hoping the front mount brings things down further again 🤞

Hey yeah I did pick up on that and I have run new foam in the top and edges. Good pickup Thankyou!

Maybe turn it 180' like the old hoods on the v8s. Second, would be curious to see if the rad temps change with the FMIC

what did you end up using to cut the holes mate?
Hey mate I started the holes with the hole saw then trimmed them up to suit with tin snips and a dremel
