Other than the wood finish on the base of the antlers for coloring, do you apply anything to the antlers themselves to seal/preserve them? I believe you only applied the mop and glo to the skull but I just wanted to make sure. I would hate to mess up my first euro mount, thanks in advance

I've killed quite a few bucks on public land and 98.9% of them were within 50 to 100 yards of being able to see hunter access or even the parking areas...Also I noticed they try not to come out in the open whatsoever as opposed to private land..Good Kill too...

Great hunt! I like how you kept camera rolling on him even though you may not have been able to see the deer. There’s been a few times where I could pick up things on the video I didn’t see in the stand. Nice job!

I would take that deer any day on public land or private.Nice to see your family enjoys venison.I actually like venison round steak for steak sandwiches,sliced thin,it is much more tender than beef round steak.

Back when I was younger I started hunting in public land,my dad always said if you can kill state lands buck you are a good hunter, because of the deer being very smart.goid job and tight lines to you and may your arrows 🏹 fly straight.

Love river fishin, been doin it on the grand river for the last 20 years

So I'll be grouse hunting in December with firearm deer hunters with center-fire rifles now? That's jacked up. Take it back to traditional muzzleloader...geez, what are they thinking

The biggest part of the loss of the deer in the area I hunt is because they keep clear cutting and taking all the white tail food away keep cutting down all the oak trees you can blame the DNR in the state for that

Any other season I don't like is that late January hunt the DNR going to have our deer population down to nothing there's areas in Grand Traverse County Kalkaska County where you won't see a deer it was bad enough in Grand Traverse County last year during the firearm deer season I saw six deer that was it

I believe the restrictions on the youth hunt and late hunts the best idea they came up with in years but I don't like the new change of being able to use any firearm during Black Powder season Muzzleloader season was set up for muzzleloading not regular rifles you're taking away a sport from people who love to shoot black powder
