I used to talk my kids to watch the planes come right over the bridge from East Boston to Winthrop. Always wondered what it looked like from the Cockpit.

Flew a Lufthansa A-340 FRA-ATL in the mid 90s. They put EIGHT Bmws in the hold. I don't remember the name, the two seater convertible first year it came out, going to the Atlanta car show. Could NOT understand the "physics" of it and how that aircraft could get airborne with so much weight, not mentioning the passengers and baggage. Did though. Even spent an hour circling Atlanta because of thunderstorms. American, but lived in Deutschland half my life and trust Lufthansa pilots completely. "Bucket list" item is Lufthansa 747 from New York to Frankfurt!! ♥

I work at the fire station on the runway. Sometimes at night before bed I will plane spot in the engine bay.

When flying a plane, is there average elevation for autopilot to turn on, like for example once the plane is at 4,000 feet on takeoff, turn on autopilot and once plane is at 4,000 feet turn off autopilot for landing, also Aviation is the best ❤️

One of my favorite parts of this departure is the various sights it overflies -- Tufts and Harvard, the cities of Somerville, Cambridge, Watertown, Newton, and -- best of all -- my house! I've had the fortune of seeing closeup the A340-600 and A380 do this SID out of Logan and I'm happy to finally see it from a cockpit POV.

After careful consideration I have decided to halt my pursuit of commercial pilot after watching this video. I wouldnt be even able to navigate away from the gate to the runway after pushoff🤪🤪🤪
