Good vid -terrible music.

Interesting video, however that noise is a turn off right away. I turned the sound off to get through what you are trying to share. I agree with the other comment about taking care of the sole. Leather is leather and needs help from time to time.

No offense to the O.P., but I feel all these videos about how to care for iron rangers to keep them looking new are ridiculous. And everyone seems to have their own miracle treatment to accomplish this, while in many cases ultimately just doing more damage to their boots instead of leaving well enough alone. I guess if you want to always look pristine like you just walked out of the store wearing them, it's fine. You end up looking like a guy who's always trying too hard to be trendy, not a good look IMO. These boots look best the more they are worn, with nothing done to them, I repeat, 'nothing'. The leather is heavily oil tanned and treated from the factory to break in while withstanding scuffs and daily wear without a lot of extra care. This is what gives the boot character. Just wear them, enjoy them and forget all the B.S.

You should never use mink oil on beckman. Never! It's a smooth leather and the mink oil is not absorbed evenly and this will leave dark patches and spots all over the boot. This was my experience and when I contacted red wing directly they explained that only the conditioning cream should be used. Their website also discusses this in the beckman section.
