The upcoming Toronto motorcycle show might just signal the end of manufactures taking part in shows in the future . So if that happens, We might have to take a long hard look to see if this channel needs to change.

A Harley guy here since 2013 but are looking at the Wing in a year or two from now. Great video, keep it coming!
👍
Outstanding video, nice job!
THX!
Good job bud
Great video! 🎬
Well said
Excellent tale of a brilliant motorcycle, very well told and edited 👍
Thank You!
Thank You!
really nice production!
Thank You !
I personally hate to have black cars, motorcycles, bicycles, or whatever vehicle I will be on public roads 1st visibility 2nd, you have to take extra care with it 3rd visibility 4th mmmmm Visibility I like the looks, but they are not safe in this chatting while driving a huge SUV world.
Impossible to keep clean too. You polish it up and five minutes later it's dusty brown or dingy grey.
Black is the new everything, lol … great video! 🖤
I attended the show on Sunday, and was looking forward to seeing the BMW and Ducati lineups. Disappointed? Oh ya.
Look at the Kawasaki Canada website and the small print right under the name.
Reaches max torque at 11,500rpm not redline at 11,500 you dummy
To limit the torque you must limit the RPM . The ECU will limit to 11,500. To achieve higher rpm an ECU flash is necessary.
@@RideThis I see that for Canada but I don't see that for the US model.
Can you please tell me where you read that the rpms are limited in only North America models?? The dealership tells me differently
This is absolutely the worst one sided opinion I've ever heard from a "racer". I have to spend thousands on upgrades?? Its only for ppl who want it for their first bike.?? Get a life sad man and hate on another brand if your upset there is not a class or aftermarket parts already available.
You should be good to go on track days, just remember to take the mirrors off.
@@RideThis when your information is false and rumors it's hard to understand how you think anyone needs a flash to drive in Ontario because of emissions on a 400cc bike
@@AlwayzAudi The information is on the website. Please review it .
@@RideThis I did but it reaches max power. So if the most amount of torque on this brand new motor is at 11,500 rpm. Doesn't mean it wont rev higher lol
Clever wording from Kawi. Power = torque x rpm, so saying it reaches “max power at 11,500rpm” is a nice way of saying the rpm are limited to 11,500 without actually saying it.
I was excited about this bike until I read something about an 11500 RPM restriction in Canada.
Yeah I didn’t mention that but the main question is why ??? Because of sound ?? You can’t tell me a R1 or zx10 is quite at their red lines ??!!
Can’t believe everyone liked this video so much: Just needlessly cynical and snarky from my point of view. Whatever.
We here in Canada very rarely get the same cool bikes as Europe gets. And we are raging against the death throes of motorcycle life here in the north. The accountants have taken over and in our lifetime you will see the end of gasoline engines and the end ownership of motorcycles as we know it today. Enjoy it while you can. And that includes ranting about a horrible ad choice by people that have never obviously ridden a bike. No offence to accountants that ride, but there was a meeting and somebody approved this ad thinking it would get young people riding and it didn’t.
GoldWing 1200 standard top bike 1984 👌
I would still like to be able to sit on the bike at my leisure at a show rather than in a showroom with a salesman breathing down my neck. 😮
Wow!! I truly enjoyed your video and the manner you suggested it. You now have a new subscriber. Continue your excellent job.🤍
Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Will be having back to back test rides T7 to Transalp before I order the new Honda. Looking forward to the reviews.
I see the Hornet was introduced to the press yesterday in Spain . They love the motor so far ! I guess the Transalp will be soon .
Loved the intro, lol! 👍
A good reminder that censorship isn't as obvious as a punch in the middle of the night. Great video, Jeff.
Thanks Blake 👍
You're missing the point completely... I've had zero interest in cruisers, baggers, bobbers, whatever, until I saw the FCR(France) one at Wheels & Waves, with that gas tank they've made, DCT, I, as someone not interested in that genre, have just found my Euro touring bike...put it in 'drive',point it towards the sunny beaches of southern Europe (couldn't live the looks of that standard tank).
Sorry Mr Rae I’m not sure what a FCR bobber dct version is ? But I’ll have a look. Here in Canada most of our roads are straight so Harley’s and cruiser’s still sell here . How well, I’m not sure. But I sure hear them every night !
@@RideThis Nothing straighter than Calais - Monte Carlo ...1250km :)
Let's face it, we're not currently living in an era of hope and optimism (for a variety of reasons) and, as far as I can tell, the marketing team is merely tapping into this general mood (one of uncertainty, fear and anxiety) … although, that being said, I appreciate your signature sense of humour, which always brings a welcome dose of levity 🤣
That’s true ! But would you want to advertise, the doom and gloom all around out there or perhaps give people hope ? 😊 I’ll go with hope No matter how much the dumpster is on fire ! Lol Could be that they know something too that they are not telling us ??? Hmmmm We will see 👍
I love your suggestion towards the end of the clip about what they should be showing new riders. Very powerful and well spoken!!!
Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it !
Im 46. I had a Fat Bob for 6 months.. upgraded to Indian Chieftain as I was more inclined towards performance /Cruise luxury. Guess what after owning it for over 2 yrs, test rode 2022 DCT and was completely sold Out! Now I have this GL18 DCT for lil over 6 months and already crossed 1100 miles. THIS IS THE BIKE!
I’m glad you are enjoying the new ride ! Ride safe 👍
One strange thing about the hornet is the 755cc engine... lots of European countries have much higher taxes for motorcycles above 750cc, why didn't they just make it 750? Im thinking of buying the hornet but i will probably decide on something else just because of this
I agree , it will change insurance price here as well . But I hear that the Hornet is not coming to North America!!
I had a 900 hornet for 5 yrs, those high pipes made your jacket stink of exhaust fumes,
I like this guy, he is like Fortnine + Norm Macdonald + my friend’s uncle from Minnesota.
Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it !!
I think the marketing maybe somewhat questionable i'll agree there.... Although in thier defense the Bike isn't actually out yet. And it's not even announced for the US so I'm sure more media packages will drop soon. As for the bike itself.... I really think it's a homerun. It's easily the new top dog among the 650-750 middleweight naked segment. Essentially making the Kawi 650, MT07, and SV 650 obsolete with better performance, better technology a very competitive weight AND and very competitive price!! All of these things are really going to appeal to new riders and this is perfectly positioned to be the best choice for either a first or second bike that you will NEVER grow out of. And when the 750 Transalp drops, if it can repeat the same feat they will own the ADV market as well. All backed by Hondas legendary reputation for reliability..... Thats an unbeatable combination.
I have Heard that it is not coming to North America!!! ???? I hope the transalp is ! 😳
@@RideThis it's going to be like the tenere all over again
It’s CB500F fuxking face😮😮
This video should be made into an obligatory lecture to all employees at Hamamatsu and Minato... I mean, like, what the hell happened Honda?
Thank you !
me encanto tu vídeo, al final casi me hacías reflexionar XD
I chuckled, couldn’t agree more. After all the hype we get... this 🤦🏻♂️
Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it !
Clearly, Honda is trying to capture the attention of a younger demographic; it'll be interesting to see how this plays out on the sales front…
We will see at the first bike show ! 😊
No doubt, not exactly the advertising old geezers (54) are likely to appreciate. But, I don't think it's that big a deal overall. You should see the Russel Wilson Subway ad....now that is terrible!
Own nothing and be happy...😞 social credit score 😞 no thanks...
Looks like some ex-cola marketers joined the team.
I couldn’t agree more with your comments about Hondas video production’s. They are employing the same nonsense that Harley and no doubt other manufacturers are using to grab the young audience. They should be asking people who actually ride how to get the younger generation to get into the sport. It is so annoying to see failures like this. The bike looks good I’ll have to see it in person.
Thanks Rodney! Yes I have to agree with you 100%! Glad you enjoyed it !
"You own nothing, and you will be happy"
Japan its done guys Their civilization will extinct
the quality of the video is so extremely high editing and film wise this feels like an actual documentary
Thank you 🙏 Check out the other videos 👍
Why are you talking in this pretentious way? I dont know you and this is a first video I am seeing but I feel like you are delivering a worlds most valuable knowledge by talking in this way. I am not trying to insult in any way its just my personal observation that It was hard for me to actually listen to what you have to say because I was so focused on the way of your delivering which took me off the point of the video.. Cheers!
Thank for the comments. But I’m not sure I understand what you found hard to understand? But thanks for watching.
i sold my 2018 royalEnfield for a 2014 flooded cbr 250 r.Totally happy with the bike feeling blessed to have it .but issues i am facing are *Parts are Not readily available *parts are costly compared to other same category motorcycles. i don't get what honda did in India launching cbr 250 r in 2012 no updates till 2018 and the update was l.e.d light . you Focus on selling scooters in India but the newer generation are looking for sports and retro motorcycles and honda is providing 0 options as entry level sports motorcycles in india. i hope honda offers a variety of honda entry level motorcycles in india.just like cbr 250 r. its the real G.O.A.T.
When I bought my 2018 (6th) Gold Wing, you had several prognostications I found both insightful and uncomfortable. I'm still of the school that appreciates the greatest selling book on philosophy is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. I found your root cause analysis bang-on recalling ‘it took 30 years to get rid of the horse'. Since 2018, we've now witnessed the surprise end of GWRRA and the Wing World Magazine alongside lost management focus through the pandemic. Another great video and good to hear from you, Jeff.
Thanks Blake, This pandemic has only rushed along the changes we talked about. The upcoming bike show next February will be witness to this. I’ve herd some manufacturers will not be going as the 2+ years of selling “ on line “ have shown them they don’t need the shows to sell. We will see when the first rentals start. Great to hear from you as well !
no thank you to that kind of control. thanks for the video.
Another great video, Jeff! 🏁
Thank you !
1st lower bike prices 2nd Offer motorcycle safty courses for free or a greatly reduced cost(to help lower bike insurance cost) 3rd hire some older talent to help coach the younger generation Bike rental gives you no bike or brand loyalty in the end.
Bike courses need to be longer then two days in a parking lot. Then restrict cc’s new riders can buy. However it is against the retail law to be told what you can buy. So this cycle will never end with sales. With rental , I feel it may give you the idea of trying the bike ,, and choosing your brand based on feel and service.
@@RideThis my idea is to help new riders lower the insurance cost. But i do agree with you that school time should be longer yet also affordable. Some states still allow you to take the road test on scooters in the past that was good enough to get you any size cc bike but it now limits you to i think 300 or 500cc bikes, to get anything bigger you need to take the road test on larger cc bike.
