I had to place the order through a dealership in Raleigh NC. The American Honda website allows you only to request quotes and then the dealer provides you with the numbers. I have had a great experience with it. After I put down a $500 USD deposit. I have waited for almost a month. Now it looks like I might be getting my Honda Rebel 1100 in the following days.
I demo'd one a couple of weeks ago here in BC (DCT model) & they had 2 manuals in their showroom - so maybe things are different now over the past few months? or maybe they're experimenting in Ontario?
Our dealer here has one on his floor and asked Honda if he could make it a demo . They recommended not too as he must keep it there till September before he can sell it if he makes it a demo . So he did not. I have a review of the 1100 coming out this month as I was able to barrow one from an owner . Stay tuned!
@@RideThis yep, sounds like something different going on out east - it was an awesome ride but I personally prefer a clutch…the 2 manuals in the showroom are Bordeaux Red or black, and i am still mulling over whether to buy the red - I’ll make a decision in a couple of days & hopefully, it won’t be sold by then - cannot wait for your review.
This is interesting news. The Rebel is a good motorcycle, but I am not sure if it will be in Arkansas. Is it only going to be in Canada? I have had my experience with pre orders.
@@RideThis Hi. I had just got on my local Honda dealership website, and they are taking pre orders on it for over $9,000 USD. I will try to demo it when I can get to my local dealer ship here in Northwest Arkansas, and it's not below freezing temps as it is now. Today it is 0 degrees here with a wind chill in the negatives. You Canadians love to send your cold weather to Arkansas, don't you? LOL 😆😆😆😆
@@renegadebiker24 That sounds like a dealer promotion going on. But yes if they have a unit to test drive please try it and let me know how it goes. Oh and yeah we’re getting another 20 cm of snow today!
Put 500$ down here at dealership in new mexico in January for a rebel 1100 DCT. Dealer thinks shipped last week, may arrive this week. Delivery slowed by covid. They were only taking orders at this time. Bit nervous at 6 foot tall may not fit ergo. Will walk away from 500$ if I have to, rather than spend 10k on a bike im not happy with.
Hi Steve , Yes I here , for obvious reasons, that the south will get them first and California possibly. I’m curious to see where the press release rides were??
Just got the bike yesterday and rode it home from the dealership. At 6'1 I fit on the bike just fine. It was actually a bit wider stance than I thought it would be. The DCT took a few blocks for me to get used to, but it ran snooth. All in all a very fun bike to ride.
@@udontwanna1 Great news Steeve! Wish I could see one in the flesh but we are still months away from our pre orders coming in , and I have yet to hear how that went . Enjoy and ride safe !
@@rustybeatty6567 It was so new and the heads of the bike devision here said it would not sell , so dealers never got a chance ... Some dealers here are still stuck with the NM4 !!

Thanks Edward,
Let us know what you think of the bike .
We won’t see them till April or May .
Online ordering is the future! Motorcycles will be displayed in annual Motorcycle shows and sold online that is what I see coming very soon.
Thanks Amer,
Yes it will go this way , but how quick is the question I think.
Excellent exclamation. I still prefer to kick the tires before I buy.
Thanks Ron !

Hi Renegade,
As far as I know , it will be in USA dealers as the site shows no on line ordering.

This motorcycle isn't the first cruiser motorcycle with DCT transmission remember the Honda CTX700 it to had a DCT transmission as well.
That’s Correct Rusty,
However Canada did not get the DCT version we only got the manual so this will be Canada‘s first cruiser with DCT .
@@RideThis why didn't you get the DCT version in Canada?
