How to clean an antique spinning wheel? The Beauty of Padise: Spinning Wheel Restoration Restoration of the 500-Year-Old Chest - FURNITURE RESTORATION restoring
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Hello my good friends, this is a special restoration, these pieces were used for spinning wool and cotton in the past...
The piece that has the shape of a comb on top of it is called a comb to the head, and it is used to separate the wool and clean it. it prepares the wool for spinning,which is made of one piece of wood without nails and glue and iron rods are placed on it. It is all handmade and placed in it with a special elegance. The wood of this piece is from the sorkhdar tree (Taxus baccata) and the life of this piece is 300 years...
The next piece is the hand spinning machine called Tangol, which turns the wool into yarn. Our tengol is not that old, about 70 years old, and its wood (walnut) is joined together without glue or nails, with a simple structure, creating such a functional piece.
The next piece of the spinning wheel is used to spin wool, and its spinning speed is much higher than that of the Tangol, and it requires skill to work with it. The clever carpenter of our story made this wonderful piece without nails or glue, its connection is fixed with water, and if any part of this device is damaged for any reason, a person who has no knowledge of carpentry can change it. In this piece, Ores wood is mostly used, and over time it has been replaced with other woods, As you can see in the video, the middle piece of wood in the spinning wheel was made of walnut and wormwood, But the other parts of this piece, which was made of wood, were not damaged.I replaced it with another walnut wood.
This house is 1200 years old, which was destroyed three times for some reason, and the last reconstruction was 500 years ago. It is made of earth and wood. No one has lived in this house for about 40 years.My only wish is to restore this house.
Thank you for helping us by sharing and liking this video...

      Because this oil was used for this type of wood in the past and it is a type of natural insulating and polishing coating that insects are not interested in. Regarding the making of wooden pins, you can take advantage of the two videos that we have shared for making different types of wooden pins by searching our channel.

    Persönlich hat mir die Szenerie und die Rekonstruktion dieses hölzernen Spinnrades sehr gut gefallen, aber ich habe nur eine Frage: Haben Sie zwei hölzerne Spinngeräte verwendet, um Wolle in Garn zu verwandeln? Der Mechanismus ist bei jedem von ihnen sehr unterschiedlich, aber dieses Video ist eine Rekonstruktion

    • @CreativeIdeasMaker
      @CreativeIdeasMaker 18 годин тому

      Exactly, you have understood correctly and we first produced the thread by a simple tool by turning it by hand and in the second method we used a spinning wheel, which was used as a hobby by the natives to produce thread in their free time

      Eigentlich ist nur die kleine Handspindel dazu da, aus Wolle oder Flachs Garn zu spinnen. Das große Rad ist eigentlich dazu da, einen Stab rotieren zu lassen, auf den die Spule des Weberschiffchens gesteckt wird, um das fertige Garn zum Weben auf die Spule zu wickeln. Um richtig damit spinnen zu können, fehlt die Spindel, die das Garn verdreht. Auf dem Stab funktioniert das nicht richtig. Zum Vergleich kann man Videos über Spinnräder ranziehen. Ich habe früher selbst Wolle gesponnen und gewebt.

    • @CreativeIdeasMaker
      @CreativeIdeasMaker 2 години тому

      Thanks for sharing your technical opinion. The point that is common in both spinning wooden tools is that they both use the ability to rotate. One rotates directly by hand, the second rotates by a wheel, and if you look carefully, this wheel is a type of gearbox that transfers hand power from a large gear to a small gear, as a result, the speed of the small gear is much higher and several times, and this makes the spindle We rotate faster and we feed the wool to this rotating spindle and we have to do this slowly and then you can turn all the wool into a strong thread.

      @@CreativeIdeasMaker An der Handspindel gibt es oben den kleinen Haken. Der sorgt dafür, dass das Garn auf der spule nicht abrutscht und nur die neuen Fasern verdreht werden. Dieses Haken fehlt am großen Rad. Das große Rad ist speziell dazu da, fertiges Garn auf die Weber Spulen zu wickeln. Um richtig damit spinnen zu können, braucht man einen extra Haken vorne oder einen extra Aufsatz. Nur der Stab funktioniert nicht richtig, da man nur eine Hand frei hat, um die Wolle nachzuführen. Wie dick das Garn wird, hängt davon ab, wie man die Fasern aus dem Bündel Wolle oder Flachs nachziehen kann. Das geht besser, wenn beide Hände frei sind.

    That is not a spinning wheel. It is a YARN SWIFT. It is used to make hanks or skeins of yarn, after the yarn has been spun.

    • @CreativeIdeasMaker
      @CreativeIdeasMaker 18 годин тому

      Our ancestors used this device to produce yarn from sheep's wool and they prepared clothes for themselves such as woolen pants or jackets and hats, and it should also be noted that the diameter of the yarn depends on the operator's use and the operator can use skill Create a variety of threads with different thicknesses

    Yet another spectacular restoration. Keep it up. It seems like you have found quite the cache of amazing artifacts. I'd watch you restore every little piece of the place. I cannot wait until these smaller restorations fulfill their purpose of bringing you the needed money to start restoring the real gem; The house itself. I can only imagine what you will begin to uncover and find once you start construction. Make sure you run a metal detector around inside the living areas. You've already found that old coin in the chest. I wouldnt be surprised if there is more buried amongst the sand.

    So, wie es aussieht, ist das kleine Objekt, der Stab mit dem Haken an einem Ende und den Holzflügeln eine Handspindel, um aus Wolle oder Flachs Garn zu spinnen. Der Kamm wird, zumindest in Nordeuropa benutzt, um den Flachs vor dem Spinnen zu ordnen und zu reinigen. Das große Rad ist eigentlich dazu da, das Garn auf die Spulen für die Weberschiffchen zu wickeln. Diese hattest du am Anfang des Videos auch gezeigt. Dazu wird die innere Spule auf den Stab gesteckt. Das Große Rad ist also kein Spinnrad zum Garn herstellen, sondern ein Gerät für den Weber. Am Ende hast Du das Gerät dann so benutzt, wie es vorgesehen war. Du findest solche Geräte, wenn du Videos von Handweberei suchst und im Vergleich richtige Spinnräder. Die Restaurierung ist trotzdem sehr gelungen. 👍👍👍👍👍

    I appreciate the work that went into this but I’m very disappointed about the style you chose. Getting rid of the original door panels style took it from an interesting vintage piece to something that looks like you can buy at IKEA.

    This is not restoration, this is criminal damage to an old piece of furniture. You wiped sugary Coke onto the wood, what good did that do?

      Thank you for leaving a comment, if you were to restore this chest, how would you do it?

    How do you know how fast to run it? It seems i ran it too hot and melted the Velcro from the sanding attachment

      to slow down the speed of the angle grinder, you need to let the sander cool down, this has never happened to me...
