I was so looking forward to seeing those doors come back to life. They were the best part of this piece. I have no idea why you worked so hard on the rest of it just to chop up the most unique design feature.

With all due respect my friend, this cabinet was not an antique if you watch the full video! Most of it was chipboard that the manufacturer had acted poorly in its construction (about 30 years ago)...
Where was the hospital!?! You take it so hard...
Please don't be sorry, after 300 hours of work and 50 hours of video editing, I'm happy to turn a piece of junk into a consumable.

I agree!! The cupboard doors are what made the piece. It would have looked much better with glass, chicken wire, or new curtains on them.
@cecilialabel4565 The one that has been removed as the closet doors, the manufacturer used the lowest quality wood, most of which was filled with putty, which in the end was not a solution for painting....

I honestly like more the old piece and thought you were going to try to rescue these beautiful doors, but instead got rid of the best part. Maybe is just a difference in taste.

For anyone watching this video... this is a restoration! A restoration is not changing the use of the piece, it is not painting the piece to cover up damage. A restoration is returning the piece to its original functionality, to its original appearance, as much as possible. Absolutely wonderful work done here! Beautiful and high quality crafts!

Thank you for looking at the video technically, it is very difficult to work on chipboard with a wood nark finish and there is no choice but to paint or glue a new wood finish. When you have pieces at home, then you get tired of them for a long time and you change them or replace them with a new piece

If it mostly consists of particle-boards with veneer on them = it is “not” old but a modern/reproduction piece of tat. Furniture that has real wood in them are old/vintage or antique

I would not call this a restoration, restoration means bringing the object back to the original state. This is more of an rebuilding than restorations. Nice work anyway. 😊

Beautiful! Most People would look at this Cabinet and say it's not worth saving. SO many Problems! It was so Abused And It May have been Poorly made by the Original Maker. I may be Naive on Furniture Construction but the Particle Board seems to have been used Oddly than on other pieces I've seen. It Was a Real Tear Down. A Great Job Putting it back Together into a Nice Modern Piece! Thank You!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 it would be helpful if you’d put some English subtitles in your videos please? Especially when you’re using some sort of chemicals to strip the paint off surfaces! While I can assume it’s paint stripper, it’d be helpful to know what sort/brand of stripper you’re using…I’ve never seen any stripper that is so liquid? If it’s not paint stripper, the what is it please?
Yes, my friend, you are right, I will definitely put subtitles on the movies.
The two chemicals I mixed together were baking soda and apple cider vinegar, which I used to remove stains and dirt from the wood, and after scraping the liquid paint used was Thinner 20000, which is used to thin instant paints. Using this thinner is an excellent remover of the undercoat (paint sticking to the wood) and makes sanding easier. Sorry, it didn't have subtitles...

Ho wow..pense que dejaria este mueble a su estado original pero no fue asi...mas bien trasformastes un mueble que ya era hermoso ...no digo que su trabajo no es lindo,si lo es pero completamente innecesario la trasformación 😢 y luego lo pinto de blanco eso es en serio??..obviamente recibira muchos likes porque son muchos los que no dan valor a lo hermoso de la madera y a un bello diseño realizado por un artista carpintero anterior..alegando sus gustos mas contemporáneos y es respetable..para los gustos existen los colores....Pero creo que con sus grandes avilidades hubiera logrado una gran restauración y sin necesidad de modificaciones...pero bueno este es mi punto de vista,y ese es su proyecto...igualmente reconozco que su trabajo quedo bien..aunque no sea lo que esperaba 😢...y vea como se destroso una gran obra...es como si le quitaramos la sonrisa sobria a la Gioconda y le pusieramos una con dientes...ambas son hermosas pero le resta su belleza origial..y mas aun el esfuerzo que puso el artesano anterior...como si se tirase a la basura una obra que ya era hermosa....y espero que mi comentario no le sea ofensivo mas bien le sea de inpiracion...soy hija de un gran carpintero que valora la madera,el olor de la Caoba,el Cedro,la Majagua,Pino rojo,Teca,Roble,Ebano,Nogal..entre otros fueron los aromas con los que creci..y mis mejores juguetes fueron el serrin y algunas pequeñas herramientas que mi padre dejaba que utilizará bajo supervision,esos trabajos eran interminables solo en espera que un huracan tirará un arbol algun dia para no talar estas grandes maravillas...por eso admiro mucho a los restauradores,no dejan que un arbol haya muerto por gusto...Saludos !! ❤❤😊
