@@CreativeIdeasMaker I know the problem. I think I know the solution too. But my carpentry skill is almost zero. All potato slicers apply pressure in One direction only. But when we slice potatoes with knife we apply pressure in two directions... pressing down.. then pulling or pushing. Now think of one point of the knife edge. It travels in slanding motion. I think if you place 5 blades in a tray in a slanding way.. somewhat like a matchbox structure - place potato over the blade- pull the tray... then the blades smoothly slice the potatoes..hope i conveyed.. all the best..
Every design shows fixed blade and moving potato- then the blade must be very sharp and strong... And you can't use blade with teeth - I suggest a fixed potato and moving blade.. you have the skill and interest. your works are very beautiful.... hope you will try something in this direction..
