Sig Sauer Romeo MSR Juliet Micro Review
In this video we take a look at an amazing red dot/magnifier combo pack from Sig Sauer. The Sig Sauer Romeo MSR & Juliet-Micro.
.
Is this a match made in heaven?
.
Starting off we'll go over the specs.
.
MAGNIFICATION: 3X.
TOTAL ELEVATION TRAVEL: 100 MOA.
TOTAL WINDAGE TRAVEL: 100 MOA.
OVERALL LENGTH: 3.1 in (79.90mm).
OVERALL WIDTH: 1.5 in (39 mm) .
HEIGHT: 2.6 in (66.17mm).
WEIGHT: 4.9 oz (140 g).
RETICLE: 2 MOA Dot.
RETICLE COLOR: Red.
CENTER DOT SIZE: 2 MOA.
BATTERY: (1) CR1632.
RUN TIME: 20000 hrs.
ILLUMINATION SETTINGS: 10 Day / 2 NV.
.
Impressed with the specs I turned my attention to getting it mounted, and sighted in. For mounting anything I always recommend using a torque wrench. This ensures nothing is damaged, and you won't loose zero.
.
To sight in I've been using a new method. I take shots at a target placed 25 feet away. I expect to get an impact directly below my point of aim, and make any windage/elevation corrections necessary. From there I move to my set distance zero. Depending on what I use it for I will zero at distances from 25 yards to 200 yards. Example my USPSA PCC rifles are zeroed for 25 yards, most rifles are zeroed for 100 yards, and my long range rigs are zeroed at 200 yards.
.
After mounting I got my sight in done, and took it straight to 100 yards. I easily got hit after hit, and decided to push it to 200 yards. This was easily accomplished, and I know that thanks to the magnification this setup will easily get me out beyond 500 yards.
.
When it comes to the Sig Sauer Romeo & Juliet combo I've always been impressed. The price is very decent for what you get. The build quality is amazing, and they feel sturdy giving me peace of mind knowing they will hold up to most anything I do to them. The glass clarity is excellent, and the red dot is visible in bright day, and doesn't starburst in dark/low light conditions. They're extremely easy to mount, and make adjustments while sighting in. These are great for beginners , and experienced shooter alike. The battery life is excellent. I love the see through flip up caps, and even they feel sturdy. Some types of shooting where this would be the perfect setup include. short-medium range target shooting. However it would make an excellent choice for me for hunting as I wouldn't take shots beyond my know capable range. As an everyday SHTF setup this is excellent allowing me to get rapid target acquisition, and track targets. Knowing that I have the magnification if needed really gives me peace of mind. If I need to engage a target outside of 100 yards I can simply flip the magnifier into position.
.
To sum it up I feel like this is an excellent combo, and I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up especially considering the price.

Welcome back everyone. In this video we take a look at the Vortex Sparc Solar Red Dot, and take it out to 200 yards. The Spare Solar is part of the Sparc series of optics from vortex. I decided to use the DirtyBird Enhanced Reece rifle chambered in 556 Nato, and opted to use Winchester Target 223 55gr Full Metal Jacket Ammo. I use this rifle to test optics because I know it is capable of sub MOA groups consistently. . I mounted the Vortex Crossfire Red Dot to the rifle using my trusty...

The Sig Sauer P365 is undoubtedly one of the best guns available for concealed carry, and with the many different versions offered it’s obvious why it's become so popular. . In this video I take a look at the Vortex Diamondback 10x42 HD Binoculars. A good set of binoculars is something I see as one of the most important gear items to bring on a hunt, but they're also great for spotting you'r friends shooting, or wildlife observation like bird watching. . Had a great time at at our local club. RJ & I decided to slow down a bit, and chase alpha hits. . For those unfamiliar with USPSA the way you score is hits divided by time. Steel targets are worth 5 points, and must fall, paper targets have 3 zones, Alpha, Charlie, and Delta. Alpha is worth 5 points, Charlie is worth 2 points, and Delta is worth 1 point. That’s why accuracy is critical. Running...

It's so nice i bought it twice. 😊. 339.00 ea.
Excelente video! Saludos desde Argentina 💪🏻
just purchased the same shotgun keep up the great videos 👍
I’m confused…did you sell this design to B&T?
Isn’t the fact it has no pistol grip that you could use the 300 BO upper with a flash hider?
Does it have magazine disconnect?
What upper is that?
NBS 556
I watched the entire video but did not get my 3 points on the contest entry?😢😮
Is this better then the hi point 380?
Sheesh 🔥🔥🔥
Can you do a disassembly video I can’t figure out how to remove the buffer tube I want to put on a pistol grip with an adjustable stock
Hi Good idea Colt Browning Winchester Start production Bren Ten 10mm 11rd magazines High quality Regards Artur Poland Warsaw
It's really not that big
I bought my LC380 brand new on sale for $214 back in 2017. I then bought the LC9 Conversion Kit brand new on sale for $133. That’s way less than the price of the gun itself!
So a 512
Shots straighter than a $2 pistol that's for sure!
im trying to decide between this lpvo or a 5x36 PA prism scope with offset RDS. the lpvo is on sale for cheaper than the prism, both are almost the same in weight so would i be better off with an lpvo? i've heard you can get better results with a low power mpvo due to its better eyebox in general but idk yet. I dont have the ability to go out and look through all these different brands so I have to hope you guys reviewing them can give us a good idea of what to expect. I'm trying to keep my budget under $300, I also found a primary arms 4-14 ffp scope but the reviews claim its another chinesium crap scope.
I prefer the Vortex LPVO, but it is subjective. I know no matter what happens they will repair, or replace it, and the clarity is phenomenal. Cheers.
@@dirtybirdusa yeah thats the direction i'm leaning in, that warranty sounds great. thanks for the info!
Buddy has one, I love it.
Glad to hear, and thanks for watching!
Nice little gun. #Ineedone
Did you fix the glass so it's actually 1x? Because my AEMS is more like 1.2x and its useless as a red dot as red dots are intended to function.
Love this fire arm
Awesome vid!
Make one without the dragon…..please.
What mag extension does it take to make it 7+1?
@@396DAD gforce sell an extension
Just be careful though cause the mag extension fits the gf1 and their m4s but the gf1 you would have to grind or cut the lip in the mag tube so the shells and follower work but will void your warranty on that specific model as per their video on how to install. The gatlander is their M4 with M2 action but same magtube so you should be fine
My daughter shoots in sasp steel competition. I might have to save up for one. She will start PCC this year along with her rimefire pistol and rifle, optic and iron sights. Was also considering the cyelee bull x pro.
Just picked this up for my WWSD 9mm carbine. I had a 1-4 but I changed my mind for this guy..
Where can I snag a dirty bird shirt?!
I really like Vortex. I originally planned to use the SPARC on all my guns. I had two of the 1st Gen SPARC's, but the part that houses the power button got crushed on one of them, no idea how, but since they didn't make that model any more Vortex replaced it with the SPARC-AR. I have to say though I don't use either of my SPARC optics anymore simply because they don't have "shake awake" (AKA auto on or movement activated) Any red dot that doesn't have "shake awake" now days is behind the curve by a long shot. The advantage of not having to turn your optic on, especially in a defensive situation, is invaluable. The SPARC optics (with the exception of the Solar which has auto-on) make this even more problematic by having an auto off feature that is meant to save the battery. Since it's a timed switch that turns it off. It could even turn off while you're using it. I believe the SPARC-AR is set for 6 hrs. If for instance if you are out hunting, and you turn your optic on in the morning, if you are out for more than 6 hrs. and go to take a shot your optic may not be on. You have to be sure to hit the button again sometime during the day or make sure it's on before you shoot. Nearly every other optic on the market has some form of shake awake on all their red dot sights. Vortex needs to step up their game in that department. Primary Arms is now offering a replacement battery cap that gives illuminated optics "shake awake." So your scopes batteries won't be dead if you forget to turn it off, and if you pick up your rifle your reticle will automatically be illuminated. I plan to get one for my Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8. Maybe that's something Vortex could build into their scopes.
Any update when these will be in? I’m too excited to get my hands on a macro. Shot one in Utah and it was perfect!
One thing I don’t know for sure anyone has touched on it. This is not like a 1911 that you can carry in single action with the safety on. On the Bersa the safety is the decocker. So although you can technically carry it in single action, you won’t be able to engage the safety. Which I wouldn’t recommend.
It shouldn't had got in the way...dayum bro u hella quick...bad ass
Take my money......I want that
Noiiiceee 😮
Amazing ❤
The solar is just a fantastic optic.
I bought the XL Grip from Sig. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, realize that the grip isn’t CA compliant. Any suggestions on where to get a CA compliant version?
The main issue with finding grips for the ca version is the magazine disconnect, and manual safety. I know JT makes a really nice grip that's metal, and works directly with the CA FCU. Ive seen others remove the magazine disconnect which allows it to work with most grips. I've seen quite a few videos on how to do it. However I can't advise that.
I have mine and I love it. The lower is 50 state legal, but you have to be careful about the upper in places like Illinois and Washington State. You don't want to use an upper with a free-floating handguard like the one listed in the video. It could be considered a barrel shroud. Instead use an upper with a traditional non free-floating handguard the just covers the gas tube. Illinois State Police is already stated that they don't consider that a barrel shroud. This is why the Ruger PC carbine with the extended free-floating handguard is not legal in Illinois.
Thanks for the response. Definitely always check with state laws whenever configuring, building etc any gun.
Mine identifies as a cordless hole puncher...🤐
Heat wrap will take care of that hot barrel
Yeah that's a great point. Thanks for watching!
Hell yeah
So did you buy all that Vortex equipment your showing or was it sent to you for free?
None of it was sent for free. Vortex did send us the Vortex Venom 1-6x24 LPVO used in the Fight Lite SCR Video, but whenever I get a product for purpose of review I will mention it in the video. They also provided the Strike eagle used in the BRX1 video. thanks for watching
@dirtybirdusa thank you for clarifying. I have the DB Tactical as well. I really don't like that it doesn't have a dead zero stop or a way to tell which set of MOA your on. I guess I should pay better attention to detail next time I order a scope 😂
Same mount as original aems?
I love straight pull rifles, I'm so glad there is a modern gun that is made by a big manufacturer who built it and put it through same military testing as their handguns and shotguns. Yeah, I know about the Heym SR-30 but it's expensive and kinda boutique.
hey i got one of your handguards heck yeah didnt know yall had a youtube and i just ordered this scope
Why run a scope on a rifle that’s useless beyond 100 yards
Why not?
@@dirtybirdusa because it’s dumb you are going to break the glass
@@dirtybirdusa iron sights are the way to go on the Beowulf
@@user-de8tm4mx1uwhat do you mean break the glass? (Genuine question)
How is the recoil compared to 38 and 357 out of a similar barrel length sp101?
That's a great question. I'd say its got slightly more recoil than 38 special, but definitely less than a 357 magnum. Thanks for watching, and the comment we appreciate you!
Vortex products definitely give you more for your money and to back it all up their warranty and service leaves the buyer worry free. These qualities in a product and company is not common. Great video.
Thanks, I agree 100% . Appreciate you watching, and dropping a comment!
Your videos are so detailed. Really appreciate all the information. Keep up the great work!
Thanks that makes my day. We've got some great new videos planned! Appreciate you watching a dropping us a comment!

Thanks we appreciate the feedback. I honestly feel like it could be the best bang for your buck especially considering the additional mount option, and the VIP warranty. Thanks for watching!
@@dirtybirdusa I agree. 👍
Oh , and when do you plan to get the follow up on the FMK 1000 round review? Hoping to get the FMK C-1 G3 one day. I’m just the average Joe so I’d have to find one on the used market.
Putting this on my Honey Badger SD! Hope they make a Reptilia mount for it
Dang that sound sweet! I can't wait to get my hands on one for my PCC! Right now my buddy is running an AEMS core on a low mount, and I like it. However I like my HS512 more because of the extra large view. When I saw the AEMS max it felt like knew exactly what I wanted! Thanks for watching we appreciate you!

Nice!
