@@user-pu8bl1dw7q If you look up a power supply calculator regarding your hardware specs, it calls for roughly a 850w power supply. It all comes down to how much power draw your specs pull from the power supply. So even though you have a 1200w power supply doesn't mean a 12900kf and a rtx 3090 ti will draw that much. I think it'll be fine but if you're that concerned and you can spend more money, check out the CyberPower PR1500LCD Smart App Sinewave UPS System. It's max wattage is 1500w which will give you plenty of extra headroom and will come close to maxing out a typical American 15 amp circuit.

So, I’m far from a tech expert, so take this with a heaping helping of salt. From what I could quickly find, this is likely an issue with the battery on the motherboard not retaining power. If that is the case, it may need to be replaced

Built my pc in 2017. Ryzen 1600, GTX 1060 Added 16gb ram, then upgraded GPU to 5700XT and 750W PSU Decided today to finally upgrade CPU and went with the 5700x Didn’t want to spend the extra for x3D. I mean I’m coming from a 1600. They’re both light years ahead. And the 5800x seem to be ~2% better, but run hotter, so I went with 5700x Plus now I have a 5700XT GPU, and a 5700x CPU 😂

@@cadenprosise2609 it’s a really good improvement. I mainly did this to be able to play GZW and it runs much better now (though still low settings). But it was running a little too hot so I ended up buying a peerless assassin cpu cooler. Which works amazingly well. But if I knew I was going to buy a new cooler anyway, I might have been more likely to go up. The 5700x was hitting 84 deg just using the stock cooler from the 1600. The assassin dropped it to 56.5. Both maxes reached playing GZW for a couple hours.

Pros +Compatible with all consoles +Clear, clean sound on all formats +USB audio mixer is easy to use Cons -3.5mm wire can be fickle -Better on PC than consoles Don't buy it if : You’re a console-exclusive player The JBL Quantum One certainly works fine with the consoles, but this is clearly a headset created with the PC in mind. The audio still sounds fantastic, sure, but there’s a few technical hiccups that can lead to some mid-gaming session frustration. You prefer a wireless headset As powerful and impressive as the JBL Quantum One is, it is a wired headset. If you prefer something that doesn’t tether you to your laptop or controller, then this headset is not the one for you. You don’t care about surround sound The One is the top of the new JBL Quantum line, so don’t feel like this is the only option. If surround sound or the other bells and whistles aren’t a concern and you’re just looking for a competent headset, other choices are available.

Anyway, thanks for clarification, I think I'll stick to my good old, nothing-fancy-about-it power strip that served me pretty well so far, and just keep my eye on any incoming shoddy weather. It's amazing that AMD allowed for 5000 series on the x370 and that I can upgrade a 7 year old PC to almost modern specs. Mind blowing.

I’m going from a 2700x to a 5800x today. Great video! The stuff about the BIOS is what I needed. Thanks!

This is most unfortunate for me. Because of my living situation, I live in an RV with an inverter-generator that I have to power down every night before bed. So every night before I power down, I turn off my desktop computer and switch off the PSU then hit the power button to basically drain the motherboard. Before coming here, I had a strong feeling that it was my CMOS because of the symptoms, but failed to realize what I was doing every night to my desktop. My question is; Should I now just turn off my desktop as normal and leave it that way? Regardless, I am unable to keep power to my desktop at all times.

Buying some additional CR2032 batteries is a small price to pay to protect your computer the way you are doing. Keep up the good work!

I got the same thing except mine doesn't say "PRO" and it will randomly die on me while it's IDLE (thankfully). So no power out from it, won't turn back on, nothing happens until I disconnect the battery and reconnect it, which is a bit of a pain since I generally need to unplug everything and move it to do that! I called Tech support and they were quick to blame my usage on it saying my computer is using too much power etc.... it happened 3-4x now when only a few watts of power being drawn form it. So that's nonsense. Not happy with APC support. Luckily I got it from Costco so I can just return it or replace it (but hopefully the model doesn't suffer from this issue and I just end up with it again). Previously using the same equipment I had the APC 1000 model and it never died on me until the battery died maybe after 6 or 7 years of use! So my question is, if you've bene using this for a while now do you have the same issue where it just dies for no reason?
