I tested it yesterday in the rain and was completely wet after 5 minutes. The thing is everything but waterproof. My friend had the same suit and was also wet. I wouldn't buy it again. Maybe it will help someone.

imagine wanting to change the heat setting on the macna - do you need to unzip our bike jacket and possibly take off the glove to press the heat adjustment button on the chest - am I wrong?

Everyone should wear a heated vest or jacket in northern European winters on a motorcycle. I remember 20 years ago riding from London to Skipton in January. I stopped at a petrol station on the edge of Bradford. It was only when I took my helmet off that I realised how cold it was - around 3 degrees C. I was wearing a BMW electric vest.

I’m an old boy and I’m not crazy about the Camo pattern, but I love that material that looks grey in daylight and glows at night. That’s fabulous! And I actually got excited about all those thoughtful features. If they made one plain (not camo) and with a waterproof membrane on the outside, I think it would be perfect! Great review fellas!

You said the Macna is lighter, but how about bulk / thickness, and warmth on their own, ie when they are switched off? Are they about the same? Thanks!

Thanks for this. I'm now, at this moment, running two pair of leather gloves through the wash with a load of laundry. Don't worry..... I'm not going to run them through the dryer. Will air dry them. Hopefully this will work without destroying them. Will know by tomorrow about lunch time...

late to the party, enjoyed this review, have the pants, jacket and these gloves, they all connect together, and I run them off the lead directly from my GS power socket, no batteries as I don't like the feeling of the batteries pushing against me like a small bulk, too much like a stone in a boot lol MACNA have made a great reasonably priced bit of kit

Airbags will surely become compulsory . But they must come down in price.
