    Is this plane supposed to go on an upward climb at almost like a 60 degree angle when you have it at 50% throttle? If I do a full throttle pass in safe mode it will try to loop at much as it can with SAFE on. I have to literally hold the elevator down to make it fly straight. When you go 100% on throttle do you use the transmitter to nose down all the way to prevent it from going in a loop?

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC 2 дні тому

      It might have a little upwards angle while punching out, but it for sure shouldn't be at a 60 degree angle. CG has a very large effect on the elevator, and if you're having issues with it climbing you should do some in-flight CG tests to see if you've got the CG correct. Also, remember that you must shut off SAFE to get your plane set up correctly. You can't trim or test CG with SAFE active.

    Nice picture! What camera are you guys here? I just ordered the TX02 but I heard you talking about the wholfwhoop WT(07?) as well? Which one is better and why? I thought I needed a 200mw one (TX02) because of the range that the umx has with a spektrum transmitter. It looks like wt07 is 25 mw

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC

      No you’re totally right! We use the WolfWhoop WT03 because it has up to 200mW power, plus it’s super tiny. It looks like the TX02 and the WT03 are pretty much the same, so whichever one you like should work! I too zoom straight up till it is a small dot then switch on safe mode it levels so you can see black bottom leave it in safe keeps it level ! What type goggles do i need to buy for this setup? I am a beginner and want to build this as well with my conscendo

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC 10 днів тому

      For this setup you should be looking for analog goggles. The WolfWhoop Wt03 camera sends out pretty nice analog signal, so digital goggles won't be able to be used with this camera. Our first analog goggles were the Teleporter V5 (www.fatshark.com/product-page/teleporter-v5) and they were really nice at the time, but nowadays you might want something like the Fatshark Scout. We also have a video on which goggles to pick out, so that might be a good resource too! (ua-cam.com/video/KAn8UINDpQg/v-deo.html)

  • @Jeroenvdb88
    @Jeroenvdb88 10 днів тому

    What made you choose for this camera? And are there better options you recommend? How about the runcam racer 3?

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC 10 днів тому

      We chose this camera due to its incredibly lightweight design, combined with its long range for its size, as well as the AIO camera and vtx system. While the Runcam Racer 3 might give you a little better camera quality, you would also have to add an additional video transmitter in order to send the camera signal to your goggles. With this plane being a super lightweight glider, we're trying to cut down on weight in every way possible, so in our opinion the WolfWhoop Wt03 is by far the best option! Let us know if you have any more questions!

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC

      Ok the dx6e is the exact transmitter I use, so setup should follow the vid pretty closely! In terms of goggles, you should be looking for an analog set. Hello guys, I am a beginner in rc flying and just bought a umx conscendo with a second hand spektrum controller. I have 2 questions: 1: What type of fpv goggles would you recommend that arent too expensive. And what is the other thing I need to connect to goggles to the camera?

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC 24 дні тому

      Well first off welcome to the hobby!!! We actually have a video that goes over all the different levels/types of goggles, as well as the parts that you need to get them working (ua-cam.com/video/KAn8UINDpQg/v-deo.html). But in short: 1. The Teleporter v5's are pretty cheap and a good beginner set of goggles (www.fatshark.com/product-page/teleporter-v5) 2. Some goggles need an exterrnal receiver module, but those teleporters don't, so big win. You might also need some Omni-directional antennas (amzn.to/3QlDSQU) in order to get some nice range from the goggles. Feel free to reach out here or on our discord for any more questions!!!

    Nice comeback at the end with a great landing! Those warbirds are definitely a handful. I'm sure for many of us, this video more reflects the field experience more than we'd like to admit but we mostly see the successful flight videos, lol. I have a few observations/suggestions for you. If that happens to be a Spektrum receiver you can check for a "Hold" in the telemetry data to see if you lost connection at some point with the receiver. The Spektrum telemetry "number of holds" value doesn't reset until you power off the receiver. I'll look at the value before takeoff, and after landing (or crashing) to see if the number incremented that way I know for sure if I lost connection at some point or not. On my Zorro I make one of the telemetry screens show fades and holds for Spektrum planes, and for others like FrSky, I'll put the RSSI min/max/current values and I'll reset those just before the flight to see final values after the flight. Just have to remember not to turn off the transmitter or receiver until you check the final data or you'll lose it. To be sure you don't lose any of that data, you can setup datalogging in a Special Function on a switch or tied to throttle cut, etc. so the entire flight is recorded for later analysis. It saves it to a .csv file on the SD card in the /LOGS folder and you'll have tons of time stamped data to analyze like all telemetry values, stick positions, switch positions, etc. I notice you didn't have the little Zorro antenna popped out and pointing up. Might not make a big difference but with it tucked away it sits behind the LCD and it should get a stronger signal popped out and pointing up in most cases. Last, I certainly love reverse thrust but on some planes, particularly with retracts, they aren't really engineered to go backwards and could put some extra strain on the gear going backwards that far, particularly when it has already been compromised. Also the prop wants to unscrew itself while in reverse so I generally try not to spend that much time in reverse. Sorry for the long comment, just felt your pain and wanted to offer some advice. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming! Those machine gun LEDs are so cool...

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC 24 дні тому

      No need for an apology, your comment is super helpful! Few thoughts: - Yeah I'll have to look into that custom lua script to see if my signal is dropping out. - I'm actually using an external 4in1 module that attaches to the back of the zorro, and that antenna was sticking out and away from everything. Still super bizarre that it disconnected right above me though... - I didn't know that! I think the thrust reverse is really cool too, but from now I'll try to stick to rolling forwards! Thanks again for the kind words, and let me know if you see anything that I could tweak!

      Hah you know that's a great question. I've looked into it and I can't find a conclusive answer. I do know that since the potentiometer is so sensitive, the lights would work even if the output went from -20 to 20. But great catch, and I really don't know why it isn't all the way up...

    Hey! I'm just wondering if you have any fluttering servo problems? When they twitch. I just got my 2nd umx conscendo. The last one had aileron twitching issues that made it impossible to fly. My new one is only a day into owning it has the same problems but with the rudder! Any idea on how to fix it? It would be great if as3x was an option because that is what causes the twitching.

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC Місяць тому

      Hey! Yeah unfortunately these micro linear servos can be a little finniky if they come in contact with water droplets or a little rough crash. In our video where we fly the UMX Conscendo and UMX Evo, you can hear the Conscendo's aileron servo jittering quite a bit as I fly by. If you're only a few days into owning it, I would contact the seller of the plane and tell them the issue, because likely they will send replacement servos (I hope). Also, there is a way to set up AS3X only, and we have a video on how to do that for the UMX Conscendo!
