      Understandable, although none of these components are that pricey! That’s the beauty of our Umx system: it’s tiny and relatively cheap!

      @rlbutterfield ah true dji goggles are pricy. We are working on a head tracker mount that will work on any goggle, so hopefully that will help people of all goggle types into the head tracking field!

    would love a already built-in head-trackable pan camera micro plane. Let us know if you plan to sell and where you are shipping from.

      Aweosme glad to hear it! We are working on a v2 of the IA Evo so we can work out the kinks before selling them! Feel free to check out our discord (linked in description) to stay tuned on updates!

    AWESOME video! I’m sure you thought of this. But Why not replace the linear servo with a light weight standard servo vs cutting on the linear? I’ve thought about doing what your doing here to a Umx air tractor. Just wondering if real servos can be used effectively.

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah we did consider normal standard servos, but it really came down to weight and space. The linear servos could be placed on the walls, and they have an advantage (in our eyes) to not have an arm that could get in the way of the other internal wires. At the end of the day you totally could do standard servos, we just liked the sleekness of linear servos.
      We’re also thinking of doing the head tracker system in a UMX air tractor too!

      @@InvertedAviatorsRC the Umx air tractor is a very good plane. I feel it flys better then the large one. I’ve been flying on a 450mah 3s with over 15 min of flight time. Lots of room inside for all them electronics you stuffed into the timber. Maybe you even stuff some long range FPV equipment in it. That might be a seller at your store. LR FPV UMX crop duster.

      @InvertedAviatorsRC  7 місяців тому

      Yeah the UMX Air Tracktor has been on our radar for some time, and I think it would be super cool to add on some long range equipment, as well as a head tracker inside! Stay tuned for that project!

    Only 1.5m in, so you may have answered this, but does this all add much weight? I love the Evo but not sure how nice it would fly with too much extra weight. 👍

    • @InvertedAviatorsRC
      @InvertedAviatorsRC  7 місяців тому

      We love the Evo too! The gymbal system itself doesn't add too much weight, as it is only two 1g servos that control the camera. Even the beefier 8-channel spektrum reciever doesn't add all that much weight. The issue we are currently running into (and will be solving in a upcoming video) is that the plane is too tail heavy. It totally can fly as it is, but it is a little jerky (as you can probably see in the video).
      TLDR: it can handle the added weight, but it is currently too tail heavy.

      @@InvertedAviatorsRC sometimes yes. But when it's _30 Celsius and a foot and a half of snow it's not as fun as people might think. My dog goes for an hour walk 5 to 6 times a day. But it is beautiful when it's snowing Champaign powder snow with the Okanagan is famous for and the street lights glistening off the falling snow and it blanketing the ground all sparkly like somebody threw up glitter. And my dog having fun trying to find her ball

      Haha yeah I suppose it can be difficult when it’s that cold! Do you ever put snow skis on your planes to conquer the snow?
