The Best Point And Shoot For Under $100?
The first 500 people to use my link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare skl.sh/graindead08241
This Pentax is one of my favourite 35mm point and shoot cameras. To really show it off, I'm comparing it to a much more expensive camera, the Yashica T4.

This tiny man is a film camera. In the 90s Action Man came in a bunch of different guises, one of them was this terrible 110 analogue camera. $20 Film Camera Challenge
Переглядів 76 тис.11 місяців тому
I challenged myself to buy an analogue film camera for £20. 35mm, medium format, it doesn't matter, so long as it is 'decent' and is made by a somewhat respectable brand. So we are talking Canons, Pentax.....Leica? Instagram: graindead_ #filmphotography #oldcamera #analogphotography
Secret Nuclear Bunker On 35mm Film
Переглядів 14 тис.Рік тому
This time we are shooting some 35mm film in a "secret nuclear bunker". Armed with a Leica M6 and Canon A1 loaded with CineStill 800t and Kodak TMax P3200, we are venturing underground to capture some fallout "vibes" and push the boundaries of mediocre film photography. #filmphotography #35mm #leica
Gravity Controlled Film Camera

Back in the 1930's film cameras like Leica and Contax were complicated and expensive. Purma looked to change things up with the 'Purma Special'. A film camera that used gravity to change the shutter speeds. Instagram: graindead_ #filmphotography #oldcamera #analogphotography Credit: Camerhack
Should You Use A 100 Year Old Camera?
Переглядів 25 тис.Рік тому
I found this medium format Voigtlander camera in a thrift shop for £12. It got me thinking "how practical is it to shoot an old film camera like this?". So I loaded up some Ilford HP5 120 and headed to the beach to try and find out. Instagram: graindead_ #filmphotography #mediumformat #oldcamera
Buying 7 Olympus MJUs For The Price Of 1
Переглядів 38 тис.Рік тому
Whether you're just getting started in film photography or been shooting analogue for a while, the Olympus MJU is a great 35mm film point and shoot camera. I didn't fancy paying full price for one so hit up eBay spares and repairs to see if I could get my hands on some cheap film cameras. I was surprised. Love your humour and your content 😂❤
"I'm over 30 years old and I can't make a lens!" Is a really good point.
does anyone know which store he was in?
I also bought the Samurai camera but for €9, a great price 14:00
fun vids mate
I'd argue that the difference in image quality between the cameras probably has to do with the fact that the Yashica is a zoom lens, as opposed to the Pentax's fixed lens. Zoom lenses in general tend to be less sharp than fixed/prime lenses, whether on point & shoots or SLRs. For those that want that feature though, that is one advantage that the Yashica has over the Pentax.
You are right but the Yashica isn't a zoom lens.
@@graindead ah I see. I'm so used to most point & shoots of that era being zooms
The batteries from your parents tv remote got me.
Would you think about selling the Pentax Spotmatic?? 👁👄👁

Hey Jack, I am refreshing this channel on a weekly basis to see if you uploaded something. I know you must be super busy, but please, don´t let this die. It´s an awesome channel! Cheers.
Brilliant video, you’ve definitely got a new subscriber, im gonna go watch at least 5 more videos of yours now whilst bed rotting :)
You regret using the two-way toy camera in Japan, whereas I think it's great, those pictures make you think "Was this taken in 1980 or 2024?", nostalgic, never-changing scenery.
Got one! It’s dead though I’m hoping if I clean up the battery contacts it will come back to life!
crazy prices. either way prices increased dramatically or you spent quite a lot of time searching. Everything is above €100
Great content mate!
I crually really loved those photos from the tank camera

I got a kodak instamatic 100 for £3 and I'm pretty happy about it
Why do I suddenly have the urge to buy an Action Man camera, a hat that says "Please Be Patient, I have Autism", and go out in large crowds taking photos?
