Glad you're back... and with a plane. Waiting for these flight vids.
I love planks. Theres a time where I love flying planks more than Helis. They can be so relaxing
.... and people told me years ago I didn't know what I was on about when I said they could decapitate.
HELLO. PLEASE TELL ME, IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHECK THE OPERATION OF GAIN ON GROUND?
Hi. When changing the GAIN parameter, nothing changes. I assigned the GAIN knob to the transmitter, lifted the helicopter into the air and turned the knob to change the GAIN. I TURNS THE GAIN to the maximum value - 120 and the minimum value - 0, but I did not notice a difference in relation to the tail movement. Please tell me what is the reason, is this possible?
Hey man is the carbon tail boom stronger than the metal?
Amazing video lad
Thank you very much for this tutorial. As I see, you are fun to the Blade heli. I have experience only with Blade 150FX. Then I buy M1 from OMP. Now, one of my friend offer me Blade 330. Aginst to OMP M4. Do you have some recomendation for the begginer, who strats with small heli and want to buy something bigger? Is it better buy something like 220 (M2) od go to the 380 and higher level directli? I havent experience with bigger heli then with 300mm rotor diameter
I don't even have a helicopter, we'll I had one about 20 years ago but tutorials like this didn't exist and I never got it off the ground, this bis amazing and makes me want to get a new helicopter.
Exactly 20 years ago? If you had held on till about 2007, your story might have been different. That was the golden age of RC heli(RC radio tech, gyro, brushless motors, LiPo and charging,...etc.). The solid state gyro, 2.4 Ghz tx(no jitter), simulators and Lithium Polymer battery(yes...$100-$200) but hey us middle aged hobbyists had the bucks. Also, with internet/youtube and Bob White(Mr.Helifreaks with detailed exact build video) you could post a technical question and get 10 answers back. Nowadays, it "should be" better with more tech, cheaper parts, "bail out switches" on tx. However, 3 critical elements are overlooked. The skill of mechanical building(cuz, there will be endless crashes/repairs), skill of programming(tx, servos, linkages), and flying skill from using simulators to learn(from basic hovering to extreme 3D). If you buy an RTF with bailout switch and skipped the "work" demanded on the simulator. Like I probably would if I were younger and total beginner, I would always fly scared and never progress beyond trying to fly it like an airplane.
Great little heli i have 2
EXCELLENT GUIDE THANK YOU
For hovering just add optical flow 😊
Help Please . I have this same Heli . Collective pitch is not working . Throttle works and so does Rudder on left stick . Right gimbal is fine. Elevator and ailerons move fine . Please help . I'm using the DXs transmitter that came it came with .
And i was scared that my 3d printed fuselage will be too heavy 😂
Thank you, I'm a beginner of rc heli, it make me easy to understand as I'm an engineer. Lol
Hi, i have a question...which battery use for your elichapter? Best regards from Italy
This talk helped. Subbed
Hello! I wish i can have like this heli but i dont have money to buy it:((
Mine drift to left, had to move to rite to compensate, thanks you sir that help alot, newbie here, learning process...never give up 👍🇺🇸🇨🇱✌️
im sure you could do a better job. maybe youre speaking to people who already know how to fly, and program their radios, judging by the positive comments. Sorry, im not in that group. I think the explanation was ambiguous the entirety . the only thing understandable was is that N, 1 2 are different. Differentiate whether you are talking about the pitch of the blade, vs the pitch of the helicopter. that not trivial, because they use different sticks, No? talk about one function and explain it well. then, bring in another topic once that stick has been fully explained. I think you were all over the place. read thru your transscript for ambiguity to a novice, and youll see what i mean. cheers. I'll equally applaud a better video.
Too bad there wasn’t a pip to see your stick control
Je conseille vraiment un xk 110s Le meilleur helico pour aprendre les base de la 3d sans se fair mal
Best explanation I have seen. Thx.
Thanks
Great video very informative, question, I suppose this method tightening blade grips/clips would be also applicable to helis with more than 2 blades?
Theres orange. Also make purple
How do i fly 3d and how to fly 6g? I mean, how to switch from normal to upside down flying? Is it mode 1 and mode 2 or a switch on the controller? Nice Video Man!
I haven't found anything on if it is possible to fly the model with no idle up AND no stability. I wouldn't feel comfortable to take off with idle up but always relying on stability to take off and land feels wrong.
i got hit in the leg with my 230 s hurt like hell
Now that I've been flying mine a bit could you not have just used forward programming and adjusted the flight controller. There's calibration settings and their for the drift… That's what I did and my 230 hovers perfect… And it was quick. But believe me I am no expert I did find the blade 230 had horrible tail rotor Hold… So I had to learn the PID algorithm and the numbers I programmed are nowhere near what the factory puts in. I now have a better tale hold I was getting large blowback when aggressive
Good explanation thank you
You're welcome!
Hello sir; How are you sir? what is the model of this helicopter because I would love to learn how to fly those types of aircraft. I am old, retired military, served my country for 21 1/2 years and deployed 3 times. I do enjoy remoted aircraft. Because these aircraft are very expensive, I would like to know what type, model if you may please sir, thanks. I will keep this video for guidance how to fly and maintain this type or any other aircraft.....Thanks.. Respectfully; Andy Disable Vet Texas
Hi this is the blade 230s V2. Not too expensive.
So seems basically like the swashplate was uneven? Wonder if just adjusting physical links to level the swashplate would work too.
Oh I'm sure it would. This is just a bit less fiddly I suppose, especially if it's only slightly out. Cheers
Hey, I really like this RC Heli channel and I am really sorry to see that it hasn't had an update for over a year. I hope all is well health wise. Can you at least check in if all is well? Best wishes.
Hi mate thanks for the comment. Yes all good thanks for asking. Just haven't had time for any more video sor even RC flying at all for a long time with work being busier and having 2 kids now. I am planning some more videos soon though hopefully. Got a plane now too so stay tuned. Happy flying.
Just got the M2 evo, first flight went terribly wrong broke my prop blades and couple of servo arms. Rebuilt now going right back to basics and have turned my heli right down. Thank you for the video!
Sounds like a good idea! Keep hammering the basics and improve carefully. Enjoy.
So, one could use mixing to increase pitch/° of bank angle, which would eliminate the need to compensate. It would be difficult to get right, but could be done.🤔
I'm sure you could. I guess it might take some of the fun out of it though? As we want the challenge of flying?
No doubt, one of the best instructions video around! You're a legend for helping so many newbies with such simplicity and explanation! Cheers 🇦🇺
Thanks very much glad it helped
Hi. How do you setting up 3d flight
Just need to set up throttle and pitch curves correct really. So you have idle up and throttle is held the same whether you move collective up and down
Thanks for replying. I need trying to this many but didn't do anything. I keep trying
I have the dxs transmitter that was standard in the package. But They dont even explain what those buttons on top do. I cant find it anywhere. Please help man. Do u have fiver or something? I am willing to pay u to help me learn it.
Hi, I'm sure theres a dxs manual online somewhere that should say what they do.. Or what model is it you have exactly?! Maybe the buttons aren't needed for your model?
@@RCStuffvideos i have the same helicopter. Blade 230s. It has a button for 3 modes. Beginner. Intermediate. Expert. Button for smart function Button for toggle thrust or something. I checked the manual. It does not explain it.
I'm sorry but if this is for beginners you lost me in the beginning when talking about all those geometry and trigonometry and no funonometry.
Hahah that's not essential just a bit of extra info if anyone's interested
I still have no clue how to check formware version despite this video or anything online. Look at lights. Cool. dafuq does that mean.
Ok can you get to the display that shows you the firmware version? If you tell me which lights are shown I'll tell you the firmware version when I gets chance
@@RCStuffvideos I finally found what model of microbeast it was. I bought a heli second hand. After a ton of digging I found it was v3.0
@@RCStuffvideos thank you for helping though
Thank you. Taaaaaaaap iiiiiit iiiin.
I’m a brand new rc helicopter pilot. I’ve owned fixed wings before. I have a FlyWing Bell 206 V3 and I for the life of my can’t completely get rid of a vibration on shutdown. It used to do it on spool up as well. I’ve adjusted the main blades many times and can’t seem to get it right although I’ve made it considerably better. Please help.
I use the blue on my RC crawler trucks, especially important on driveshaft screws. TIP: heat will help you remove the screw if it's seized, on 1/10 i use a butane torch when required, on 1/24 a soldering iron is best. DO NOT use loctite on screws you suspect are cross threaded or have a damaged head or are stripped in any way as you will NOT be able to remove them later as loctite needs some force. Careful with 1/24 screws as they sometimes can't take the force required to undo a loctite bond (from personal experience, I had to drill a couple out recently)
I had my first heli crash in 36 years because I switched from a servo with a plastic output shaft to a metal one and I forgot to locktite the servo arm screw, and of course it came undone. Heli rolled inverted then plummeted nose first into the dirt...with much laughter from the local kids. I'm just glad no one got hurt. 🇦🇺
Are you flying with Mode 2 ?
Yes
Thanks for making such a great video… Your explanation the filming everything really helps out. Big thank you
Thanks!
