My sentiments exaxtly! Im in the same boat being out of helis for over 20 years. Building an old nib 450 pro dfc but using a micro beast plus fbl from a 700L kit I'm going to use an Ikon2 the seller included in the kit. Thanks for making sense of the Beast instructions. I too am using 1 satellite and didn't understand what happened to all the servo wires going into the micro beast plus. Thanks for clearing that up! Subscribed.
I'm using futaba rc. When I leave micro beast out all channels work ok but when I wore the micro beast plus 5.4 in the servos go to there max movement ok but the travel back to neutral very slowly. Model is a th 70 combo. Any help you can give Thanks Ian
He Man. I bought the t-rex 450 LP 2 weeks ago. It has an Align mini GRS flybarless system in it. If all goes well, I can fly with it because this is just too much for me as a beginner. And when are we going to see this helicopter fly? and Thank you for the video I will definitely learn from this in the future.
BRILLIANT REALLY HELPFUL I agree about slow or too long videos and even more about load music and stupid introductions but in videos like this you need top spend a bit more tim e as most have never even fitted a Microbeast let alone programmed it But looking good will comment again Can the Microbeast be set the factory Just as a matter of interest - I have not flown for 20 odd years. The very first part of you video about version needs a bit more explaining and if you do another video when you flash the card up it could do with a bit longer Going to have a coffee - read the manual and then look again My YTail blades move out but i have to centre them pmanualy is that a setting in Microbeast

This helped a lot! Although when setting collective limit, i cant get a solid blue even thought endpoint is at full. It stays flashing. What do you think the issue is?

Quick question, I'm getting my first kit heli, the Align 550X Dominator Super Combo with the Beast X Plus, I'm unsure of what receiver to use, do I just need a remote receiver like you have on the side there and that's it? I read through the manual a bit in your link, and I believe that's what it says to do, I want to go Spektrum with my DX8G2. Any help you can give is very appreciated!! Thanks!
Hi King family RC, I can't remember where I read it but I'm pretty sure for a 550 size, (or anything over 450 to be precise), a single satellite isn't recommended. So you might need a proper receiver as well as a satellite or 2. Not done this set up myself I'm afraid so can't be too exact but I think I think you will need a but more for a 550.
@@kingfamilyrc5376 No worries. Yeah I checked, and it was in the microbeast manual it says 450 size or less for single satellite. "Using a single remote satellite is only recommended for 450 size helis or smaller! For larger helis please use a SRXL compatible Single-Line receiver for your radio brand."
Wtf have I gotten myself into... I'm so lost. Just getting back I to them from flybars. Well I do onow they will fly just fine without a system. Even flew my 450 trex about 3 yeara ago just off a Spektrum AR630. Even had sade on it setup. Would recover seems like a blink of the eye. But did have one issue in safe. Giving a left rudder input it would climb fast as further the rudder direction was pushed. Never figured that out. So now just repaired the 450 and got a 550 to go with it. Bought two of the same system. Now I see I got sooooo many steps to make just to get it right. I'm sorta now upset. I need help I'm sure.
Hello, I recently got the Trex 470Lp. I have spent MANY hours trying to figure out the MICROBEAST.. I can not for the life of me get it figured out. I have an AR6210 Spektrum receiver. Also have a AR8000 laying around as well. I can not get the MICROBEAST to read that I have the receiver connected?? I can get everything to work fine following the instructions and this video with only a Spektrum satellite.. but I know only a satellite isn’t recommended. I’m about to give up and just use a satellite and hope I don’t get a brown out.. Any tips or instruction of how to wire up the receiver? I have tried everything, but maybe there is one thing I’m not doing right.. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you!
Hi yeah electronics can be a real pain eh. I never had any problems with satellite only On the 470. It was recommended by a top UK model shop I know it's a common set up. When it comes to the max size for satellite only remember the trex doesn't conform to normal naming standard sizes. So it's only a 380 really. I don't know about those other receivers but try emailing Stefan from microbeast: shornstein@freakware.com He is helpful and ususally replies fairly quickly

Won't work with the AR6210. You need AUX2 to set the gyro gain from the MicroBeast. . The AR8000 should work. I speak from experience after reviewing the manual on the JR 9503H Transmitter.
Mate hello how are you..... I have a goblin 700 raw and I added the beastx Pro edition since 2016... so it had the version 4.1.5......after contact the support cause it wasn't accept the Pro version which I had paid they fixed that and I updated from 4.1.5 to 5.5.1.....the thing is that a lot have changed and even with the manual i can't get it work and I really regret it the update cause the Heli was flying perfectly......can you help me I have figured more than half of settings but I can't get the electric motor to start....in studiox they have for swashplate 333hz when from the beastx button it has still only till 200hz .... that's the only positive I found in the update....now I have the servos directions fixed but the throttle it's working only as pitch so it goes up And down only and I have not motor throttle....if I figure this out I believe I will find and all the rest settings....and what is exactly these "banks" they added? Like setting idle ups?..... please if you know something more than one help reply ASAP thanks
Hi mate. Sorry to hear of your troubles. I haven't updated to the pro version yet but plan to at some point. I did it all on the unit. I'm guessing the banks are bank angle limits maybe as I'm sure the pro version can do that. If that makes sense? Which support email did you try?
A little late answer but, if you have both the throttle and pitch moving at the same time, the beast sees two inputs and ignores both. Set you throttle hold on so there is zero throttle input, set your collective. When you get to the throttle, flip you hold off then you setup the throttle. This also drove me nuts for a few. Once you get the channels assigned correctly, using a linear throttle curve, calibrate your ESC. Your motor should respond normally now. FWIW, this video does cover setting up the Pro on 5.2 with the exception of attitude and banks.
Hi I think I'd have to live near you and I doubt very much I do. I'm sure there's people closer to you who can do it better, too. Just search for a rc shop or club near you.
Just need to set up throttle and pitch curves correct really. So you have idle up and throttle is held the same whether you move collective up and down
Ok can you get to the display that shows you the firmware version? If you tell me which lights are shown I'll tell you the firmware version when I gets chance
Yeah I agree. I have a Gpro and its set up is way better, luckily I have the bluetooth dongle as well so can adjust from the phone at the field too. I just wanted to see this setup to see if it was a nightmare, and it is. Sure once its set up its good, and of course ya can get a dongle to do the same by the sound of it.
@@Hells_Gate Gpro is a cheap fbl system align puts on their small helicopters....... you can't compare beastx with that cheap thing.....is like comparing a Kia car with a Buggati....the end
@@lfrecords3970 Yeah I have had more of a look into them. Gpro is old now with a lower resolution. But still way easier to program. Mine came with the 600E so not that small. Going to try and find a vid of the beast plus programmed through pc and Im sure it will be alot easier
@@Hells_Gate Gpro is like not existing these days anymore mate.... even beastx is too old.....i bought the first beastx plus 2016 i think? And I added and the rescue mode which was the reason I lost 2 helis one was in 2nd flight...was learning back then and was rushing to do the hard staff......now I updated it after years and I am programmer in real life... something like hacker you could say i did the set up from computer it's easy but I think couple things are missing or I didn't see the menus.... maybe submenus.....the heli now seems ready it's spooling up with the ESC governor but something isn't right like before and I want to be sure not to destroy a 1500euro heli cause I m impatient.... I sent email explaining and I wait reply or real manual cause the v5 they have on their page don't fit with all the menus...some are not for what it's writing in the manual

Not too sure at the moment. I got one off ebay but haven't had a chance to use it yet. You can try midland helicopters to see if they can order one in
