i had known about Ventura being a SEAL but after watching the movie a couple of times.....i always thought that Poncho was the most realistic looking soldier just based on the way he moved as well as his presence said to me that he was legit. My dad is a retired Colonel in the Army and his persona reminded me of my dads way about him.

Richard Chaves is my favorite actor in the TV show war of the worlds and was shocked they killed him off in the second season.

Didn't Chaves kinda turn up the action on the war of the world's TV show? It was a strangely mesmerising show from Canada, and just before X-files took off.

I want to know why did Paramount completely re-tool WOTW in season 2 and kill off Ironhorse and Norton Drake while also completely messing up the entire world building that was done in season 1 ? It was awful. They took the second highest rated scripted show in syndication (TNG was first) and destroyed a good thing. WOTW season 1 was ahead of its time and was the X-Files before the X-Files.

I think DP is a one of a kind actor. What he did in in the 90s was really special, and I'm not just saying that. Fucking brilliant villain. I fucking loved that guy in Commando and The Crow. His voice and how he put so much life into his character and when he got really pissed off, it was amazing. He really cared about being a bad guy and you gotta give it to somebody for that. I always like a good bad guy when there's so many generic bad guys. DP ALWAYS stood out. I especially love his scene in the Crow, “Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is.."
