Massive Mile Wide Tornado - Greenfield, Iowa 04/30/2024
Переглядів 2225 місяців тому
A Tornado Outbreak occurred on 4/30/2024 in Iowa, east Nebraska, and east Kansas. We chased this tornado warned supercell until we got infront of it 8 miles south of Greenfield, Iowa. We parked at the intersection of State Hwy. 25 and County Road G61, where we video taped one of the most spectacular events we have ever seen and the largest tornado to date. However, this tornado did not get coun...

😂 now that's spooky 😂
😮😮😭😭🥺
Oh my GOSH!! Unexpected darkness. Did not know it could be like that, unless the sun just set with time lapse
🇬🇧🇨🇵🇦🇷🇳🇿🇸🇬🇧🇷🇸🇬🇧🇷🇳🇿🇬🇧🇦🇷🇧🇻🇮🇹🇮🇹🇨🇦🇨🇦🇮🇹🇦🇷🇦🇷
Somebody watching??🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I would have died from fright...
😮
I miss my old hometown brookings so much
I got like 2 derechos
I stood on my porch, 1/10 of mile north of the 70 bypass. Looking south, we watched the most massive tornado moving west to east. We could only see the top of it and it was huge. With the lightning, we could see the shape as it was darker than surrounding skies. Many tears shed the next morning after seeing the damage. I have seen many tornadoes but this was the largest I had witnessed. This tornado was so well-hidden within the storm, like it came in stealth mode.
At least you made an eBay sale during that.
The safest spot to be lol
Damn. That's almost like being in the middle of a black hole. Glad you're okay!
But the big huge question is, how can you see anything without any light
Looks like something was burning up and black smoke went all over the place
That's scary stuff.
Biblical!
As a Texan those sirens alone give me the chills. Then you add that incredibly dark storm and I’m gone!
I saw that while I was storm chasing (didnt have a channel at the time)
That escalated quik
1:40 it looks when like me and my dad walk out of walmart at night except without the siren
that is horrifying
What in God's name!😮😮😮
1:56. eBay sale!
I remember this! I was coming home from daycare (I am a 6th grader now) and we saw the whole sky go pitch black. it was amazing!!
Damn this is a great video, it's amazing how it goes from day time to night in the blink of a eye . Awesome video ...
Question: Why are people still driving around?
I know how you feel. I was in the derecho that started in Iowa in 2020 and just as I opened the car door it went from 20-30 mph up to 60 mph literally in a snap. It caught me from behind and I saw my hat disappear in an empty field that went on for what looked like miles never to be seen again and my t shirt went all the way up and my plaid shirt went completely over my head and was flapping like a flag. It nearly took my door off.
Kao da je jelustiw vulkan eruptirao već skoro tako izgleda oblak al ima razlike između ulmanski prašine i običnih oblaka ovo liči baš na taj vulkan jeste da je ubrzan snimk ovaj pa noć brzo padne
Back in May of 2018 we had a tornado move in rather quickly and the sky got black like this for about 90 seconds. It was the earliest thing I'd ever seen.
I never noticed derechos were green till people told me...before that people said huge scary storm go inside and wait. 😊
Same thing here in Sioux Falls.
I have family in Iowa, I couldn't live back there, I have to admit I couldn't handle it 😯
Look out, incoming!!
WTH, i saw this video pop up at 5:30pm, it’s sunny outside for me, but i’m in the uk, THAT is an amazing coincidence to me
holy shit, I've never even heard of a "derecho" before if i randomly got caught in this and didn't know what it was I'd think i was going to die
I remember this day and how quickly the world has turned black.
Green clouds in thunderstorms are usually hail. Large hail and dust. Lived through Huricaine Andrew in south Miami working in ICU that night. Countless tornados and 2 derechos in Kansas.
That happened to me once stuck on road with a giant tractor trailer in front me - instant darkness, the friggin loudest sound that it sounded like silence; I thought I was dead.🎉
"this is.. advanced darkness😨" as SpongeBob said
Looks darker than nighttime
"...and I feel fine."
South Dakota check ✔️
Holy Moly! 😲
This isn't your everyday darkness. This is advanced darkness.
Storms are darker in real life imagine that.
I’ve only ever seen something like this happen once in the UK. It got dark and I remember the orange glow of the street lights in the middle of the day. The conifer trees were blown around so hard, they reminded me of the vertical bruises spinning in the car wash. It rained so hard.
Lol. Its 5:31pm and youtube just recommended this
When you set your render distance to 1:
All of that dirt in the air followed by rain. You know car wash owners were foaming at the mouth...
