God, I literally can't describe how much more I love this than titan lost, with how stupidly blown out long the titan lost battle lasts, it's much more repetitive theme literally grates on the soul, the battle itself was campy, almost too campy, like shadow the edge hog campy, but I beleive it's the kinda camp that will age well(hopefully) but I don't know if I'll ever look forward to listening to titan lost again, while playing the battle

The reason they didn’t make full Ifrit vs Odin is because nothing survives from Zatetsuken by full prime Odin and it wouldn’t be feasible to make a fight that you get killed by a single hit

About game play, Zantetsuken Sound effect was so loud and noisy. Music volume lowerd over and over again. That is the only one dissapoint thing of Odin battle.

Playing through the game I thought the OST was good, but it didn't really feel like Soken that often. Like, it HAD Soken moments, but it was generally just a fairly standard good OST. Queue Soken Kool-Aid Manning his way through a wall as soon as Kupka eats the crystal.

I love how the opening sounds like Cecil's Red Wings from FFIV but instead of being reflective and melancholy it repeats the same notes unflinchingly until the next mad section begins. Cecil was a Dark Knight who still had his humanity. Barnabas is fully resolute and will never change his path.

That Ifrit Zantetsuken is a callback to Seifer's Reverse Zantetsuken.

my favorite FF16 theme up to this point *BY FAR* This song slapped me around so hard while technically fighting as a huge monster. You're just so infinitesimally smaller than *TITAN* that you think your size didn't change at all. Clive is like a toe to Ifrit while Ifrit is not even that to Titan Lost. The fight was what child me would have always wanted to play and now, older me can finally play the final fantasy I've been dreaming about. My favorite fight in gaming so far.

1:30 that "fury and rage" hits different, you can feel both ifrit and titan fighting for their life and for their future in this moment, like holy shit its not even like im fighting a boss anymore its a religious experience. Soken can make me feel things nobody else can, truly the greatest musical genius of our time

The Interdimensional Rift from FF5?

This version of Ifrit is so good and my favorite so far. After all he was always the best summoning/character of them all in every FF game. The moment in 16 when Typhon pin him to the ground and he stand up with his hand risen up and Hellfire behind Typhon is my single favorite moment in 16 and among my most favorite in all FF games.
