Happy with this warm up. When I relax I have a much better orbit, I wish I could get some more height on it. Whats anyone Think
Hammer throw: 35 lbs weight throw, i suck
Need some help. Anyone advise me on my orbit? I dont have height, I just kind of flat line it when i go full speed, which this was 100% speed, with like no delivery effort. when I attempted to push it up I popped it in the air and it went no where, whats anyone think, and I dont care about distance, I want to be a decent 4 turn weight thrower.

Comments on Form Appreciated Greatly. The point of my drills is to really work on 180 degree push, and staying up on my toe and staying long on Double support phase

You know you were great when your record outlives you.
I watched this with my dad on TV, 12 years old. I'll never forget it when he said "That was a world record!" with a smirk on his face.
Only a few dopers surpassed Koji Murofushi's record.
Never failed a drug test lol.
Steroids?
Full of enhancing drugs
key is torque, kinetic energy pent up and then explosion. physics.
Beautiful technician. And the Pommie commentary is almost as brilliant.
What a cannon
You can tell he's at home in the hammer circle when he even sweeps it clean
Sedykh together with Sergey Litvinov we’re the two greatest hammer throwers to ever grace this sport. The only two throwers to ever surpassed the 86m mark. Thank you for the memories. RIP both.
🎉
Love the 80s
reach to 87 m !
Juri Sedykh + Hammer = THE GENIUS , PROFESSOR AND LEGEND!!! Rest In Peace! And Thank You All What You Made!!! 🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏
Post more videos of hammer
still standing
The top guys today could use with cutting some weight and focusing on speed and technique. Sedykh is so fast and precise.
A rowhammer throw that will not be reached before solar extinction. It migh be a good idea to reset all world records before 1990.
I never tire of watching this. Ever. I used the cybergenics video of Sedykh to teach myself to throw in college at a small school. Ended up all american and still have school record from 1991, altho don't ask how far cause it wasn't a world beater. Still proud of it. Great memories. Also, this reminded me he was from Ukraine. He's my all-time hero of any sport.
"After we had injected his sample into our Hewlett-Packard machine, an alarm sounded and it became so contaminated with stanozolol metabolites that the next few samples spat out false positives even when we knew there were no steroids present . . . we called this the Sedykh effect."
God loves you very much, dear friend. You see we, humans, have sinned against God and broken His Ten Commandments. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”. Sin leads to death and hell. Death is a disease, but there’s a cure. God, the Creator of the universe, in His rich mercy and love, sent His Son Jesus into the world 🌎 . Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. Then God, rich in grace, was willing to sacrifice His Son whom He loved for the sins of the world ✝️. Jesus says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” ❤️ When Jesus died on that cross, death lost its grip and got a cure, because three days after Jesus died, He rose from the dead! Friend, it’s up to you whether you will receive the cure of death by putting your faith in Jesus Christ. When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, you have a spot reserved for you in heaven, everlasting joy and peace! God did ALL of this because of His love for us❤️
Drug use back then was insane, these guys look like half the size and physique that athletes are today, and on average nowadays they’re getting low 80s, technique or not there is no way these wimpy looking athletes back then are getting constant 86 average without drugs
Who was that at the end ?
I have watched this video more than 100x, and it never gets old. That WR throw makes the left foot look like he’s moon walking like Michael Jackson. RIP GOAT
Unfassbar!
the GOAT of the event. RIP Yuri
Phenomenal Across The Circle !
rip youri
both RIP
Rest in peace Sedyhk You are the greatest hammer thrower ever.
R.I.P. Champion
R.I.P Juri
RIP Youri
Had to watch this again today (for what seems like the 3,000th time). RIP.
harold o Conelly the best american thrower ever
How do hammer throwers not kill like 6 people with every throw
Savage he's much smaller than the guys today
Incredible series of throws. And serious stupidity on those photographers- if his hammer had broken (which does occur) there would have been a swath of fatalities. You'd never see that allowed today!!
It's amazing what performance enhancing drugs can do for you. I refuse to believe this is a clean record no one has come close really since. With his HGH ball headed ass
83.94-85.28-85.46-86.74-86.68-86.62 What an incredible series of throws
Wr only 86.74m after 36 years !
so much steroids in their body
Apparently, this athlete was looking for feedback, my bad.... Good way to get technical advice, again my apologies!
Watching this person, performing these skills incorrectly, does a real dis service to the sport. We The watchers, do not expect perfection, but we need a detailed reason for the drill and what mistakes to watch for so we can learn. Please explain and critique drill videos.
This world record will not be broken for atleast another 25 years. Take my word!
@Zelim Can't disagree.
Maybe never. Due to the Soviet sports juggernaut, he was basically a professional hammer thrower, and could devote all his time to it. Even a lot of world class throwers today need a regular day job.
Ah yes, a fellow Fury Warrior. A man of culture.
Who’s here from the ragnarok series?
