That was a gen 2 coyote against a 6th gen Camaro throw a gen 3 5.0 at that Camaro and it will walk it any day the 2017 Camaro was a year after they did the update and more power that there still on today witch ford countered by also doing a update in 2018 and adding more power to the gen 3 not a fair comparison old vs new tech btw a 91 tune only on a gen 2 makes like 10hp lol it takes a fbo tune gen 2 to keep up with a stock gen 3

But I see what your saying the gen 3 is superior. the 92.7 mm stroke length remained the same from Gen 2, the newer generation slightly bored out the engine a little further, increasing the diameter from 92.2 mm to 93 mm. Not only that, but Ford was able to increase the compression ratio of the cylinders to the combustion chamber from 11:1 to 12:1. The Gen 3 Coyote was also given a raised dome for the pistons, upping the volume from 4.451 cc to 8.411 cc. With all this, the newer engine managed to be six pounds lighter than the previous generation but maximized power.Another important distinction between the two generations is that the Gen 2 Coyote only uses port fuel injection, meaning that gasoline is injected into the intake port before the intake valve lets it into the combustion chamber. Gen 3, on the other hand, uses both port and direct fuel injection, where fuel goes directly into the combustion chamber. Direct injection has two major benefits compared to port injection. The first aids in the power of the engine. When fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber, it can immediately be used for energy. This feeds right into the other major benefit, which is that it is a more fuel efficient. But if you look at the lt1 it has all of these same tech advancements in their newest version that is sadly no more but none the less if you build both for na the Chevy will win. It’s been done many times. Facts are 4 valves don’t make the tq needed and rely heavily on rpm’s to increase velocity but subjected to atmospheric pressures only which is about 1 bar or 14.7 psi meaning any extra benefits come from turning the motor faster which the coyote can do or having bigger cylinders sucking more air on the drop of the cylinder to allow more air and fuel mixture to fill the chamber faster to compress and ignite. Facts are the lt1 can rev pretty high aswell so you really not looking at all that big of a difference of an advantage per gear especially when you build them both and the lt1 is now a much bigger bore and stroke high compression and a big ass cam it’s over. Now add boost to that yote the tables turn. No hate man you’re 100% right just figured I would add in some things you missed or might have not known 🤷‍♂️. Honestly this is the age old argument that’s been settled same mods all the way from mild bolt on to fbo to built. Na the Chevy the Camaro wins. On boost the yote win.
