just got to ride my 2023 ... the only things i have a problem with is.. the quickshifter is terrifying..if your slowing to take a right..say 25mph in second, and you accidentally touch the shifter with your boot it lunges forward from the throttle blip because it thinks you wanted to downshift. it really hits the throttle, if your going at a slower speed and downshift clutchless it locks the rear tire... the quickshifter needs alot of refinement, i have disabled my QS because its terryifing and dangerous to be honest.. the last thing is the throttle 1500 to 5500 rpm the throttle us super touchy, very sketchy in a turn, if you hit a bump in a turn the throttle is so sensitive your arm moves and gives a very small input to the throttle...that if you dont watch what your doing you will lowside.. im going to make another throttle spring to try to stiffen the throttle and get a retune, it is super lean ..
Mate, it works better on higher revs but you definitely right about it. I found it smooth out after 3-4 thousand KMs.
@mjwalkabout8737 you are correct sir..problem is pulling the clutch lever does not cancel qs and it really should..but its still a great bike just have to learn to ride it the way it is..
i agree what you say about the output power. Since the engine is based on the KTM 790 i dont understand why they detuned it for the CFmoto. The KTM has about 10 HP more aand about 10 Nm more. It would be nice they do that for the CFmoto. For the looks i also agree it is a very beautiful looking bike
Thanks for the review
11,000 KM in two months is a fairly good amount of mileage in a short time. It would be good to know how it holds up over a couple of winters, being exposed to rain and cold, etc. This video is about 1 year old. Can you post a follow-up video to tell us how the bike is after one year?
i looked first at the benelli trk 702x but this realy better and has the ktm engine
Is this bike good?
Can you send a link to the wind screen?
Great video and very informative! Do you still have the bike? How is the engine and overall reliability?
what is fuel consumption in city in mixed or on autoban on 130kmh?
Glad you made the review. Thank you. I currently own an Africa Twin and am pleased with it. But, I am a fan of CF Moto and have been hoping they'd put something like this out. Now I definitely want one, (especially after your review), and I am willing to put up with the flack I'll get from others ADV guys. I do wish it came with a 21" front wheel though. I am curious about how the new KOVE 800 will compare but will, no doubt,, be trying to buy whichever one is first available.
Looks like China is really prospering right now, good to see.
I just got mine yesterday, so far 200 miles, just love it, many years off fun to look forward to.
Dude speaks good english
Great review, thank you!🤜🏾🤛🏾
Hey thank you!
Dude, that is one Nice road. Great views, twists and turns. This bike just hit the US and I am very interested in getting one. Great video
Hello! Could you please share web page where I can find those accessories that you put on your bike....I would go with exactly the same things but cannot find nothing online ... I am from Croatia...thank you in advance
As a current CF Moto 800MT owner who's had various nightmares with the initial purchase of the bike, and now with parts, I won't recommend the CF Moto brand. CF Moto lacks the basic understanding of customer loyalty, and retention. There is no dealer support or oversight in the S. America market, so after the purchase the customer is completely on there own, and at the mercy of the dealers that cannot assist in any way . The dealers in Ecuador have price points that change from one day to the next, and use very deceitful sales practices. What they offer is NOT what you end up actually getting. Dealers can't perform a basic break-in maintenance service due to lack of the proper diagnostic equipment (scanner for the T-Box), and parts availability issues. After on accident on March 17th, I contacted my original dealer for a quote on replacement parts, and they have not heard anything back from MotDis (CF Moto distributor in Cuenca), as of the date of this comment. I contacted another dealer, and they can't even provide an estimate, let alone confirm parts availability. I have also reached out to Zhenjiang Chungfeng Power Co. Ltd, but to no avail. After sharing my experiences with 3 other expats, that were very curious about my bike and my overall experience, they have excluded the CF Moto brand out of their possible buying options. As much as I really wanted to enjoy my motorcycle exploring South America, it's just taking up space now. I will be selling my CF Moto headache.
How is the bike doing now, a year later? Thank you for these videos!
I am thinking of adding that to my stable or a softail.
Nice review
Nice video, it's a pretty good bike
Hello
U Should consider riding down to Southeast Asia all the way down to Singapore where its hot n humid to really put the bike to the test. There are CFmoto distributor in Malaysia n Singapore. No worries about mechanical support.
Hello, thank you for the review. It helped me making my choice. Now that i have the MT800 I am disturbed by turbulance around my helmet. I have two things I want to adjust but I don't know where you bought your aftermarket windscreen. Can you help me with that.? Maybe I find a sister compagnie that will sent it to Belgium. I find the mappings a bit enoying but I will ask my cf dealer If he can get the software. The on-off feeling is bigger in the sport-modus. The rain modus seems to be better but than i have less power. So thank you again. Good video. Thumps up!
Good review. Thanks.
Great video. what about fuel consumption in normal riding conditions? Thank you
Good review and fantastic road you have there... Really enjoyed your comments on how the bike performs... Really like to know how the bike feels when you constantly at higher speed like 130km/h to 150km/h on the highway... Appreciate your comment on that. Thanks pal... -From Malaysia-
😮
nice review a few words straight to the core, thumbs up
3 times cheaper to buy, 20 times lower resale value. Lovely deal here and now
20 times lower resale???Why?If the bike will be reliable will keep a good resale price
Thank you for braving 4 degree weather to give us this review. This was very informative. I’m thinking of getting this bike here in Australia
jiayou
Hey there! So how is the fuel consumption now? Did it get any better than the 6L/100km you had at first before the break in period?
Now I’m getting 5L, 4.5L on highway doing 90kms
@@mjwalkabout8737 that's a really decent consumption for that beast! Thanks!
Thanks. I've crossed this off my list of potential new bikes.
Hey thanks for the review... Is the rear shock hydraulically adjustable? Can't wait to see these in the US
how much is this in China? do they sell for export?
Bro. What your tall height . ? I wonder my height 190cm , the windshield can cover my height..
I’m 180, you need a taller windshield
Why do you make this video. You can't ride motorcycles and you don't have idea about them. You drive like a track driver. You don't understand that a motorcycle is a different kind of vehicle. It's not a car, it's not the truck, it's not a bus!
Sure 😊
Haha crack up when the oncoming bike crossed centreline can tell straight away you’ve spent time in OZ
Very good thanks for being honest
I was looking for Kawasaki Versys 1000SE, but then CFMOTO draw my attention. Here, in Romania, it’s cost around EUR 11700 (the 800MT version)and for what you get for the price…it’s just unbeatable. Did you got the bike?
Yes I bought it & done 25 thousand Ks
@@mjwalkabout8737 After 25.000 km, what are your thoughts? How do you compare it with Honda Africa Twin (I understood that you had one)? Regarding the lack of TC, personally I think that the bike has the system and all the electronics behind it, but it is not activated - can be solved with an update. This info came from a CFMOTO mechanic🤷🏼♂️
@@andreitoca the African Twin is a different beast, taller faster more capable but heavier. I find the 800MT suits better for most ridding
Top speed? 🤔
200 km/h they say, and i believe it's true
@@pandorski35000 go for it... Try max speed Let us know
@@budoitraian It's about 210, but you can only go 140kmh with the side panniers as it causes major instability.
I really wanted this bike, but the showroom hd none to look at. Didn't want to take a blind shot, so I ended up ordering 2022 Klr650 adventure. I know it's much older tech and very low on power compared to this but, at least I won't lose my license here in Australia 🦘🌏 on that.
I want one, i am not an off roader, but would want one anyway, i do alot of country roads, love it, price is dope😎👊🏾
how tall are you michael?
180cm
Kawasaki take note 800 versys please
Nice review! What is the valves adjustment interval?
Not too sure! Normally about 25skm
@@mjwalkabout8737 Someone informed me 30000km.Thanks anyway, ride safe...
This is a great review. Simple and to the point. You've done a lot of kilometres in a short time. I'd be interested to hear any comments you have on any off road riding, if you have done any. I'm looking at replacing my 850 GS in the future and this bike is a great price with many included features. Thanks for the video
Good for u mate!
The ktm 790 has problems with the clutch, specifically with the oiljet clogging. Have you checked the part for clogging? Also had problems with the petrol reservoir What problems have you faced so far? Thanks 4 the answers in advance
Not finding the neutral is when you have the oiljet clogged you probably going to burn the cluctch!
Thanks mate! No other issues so far
