It's a stunning part of the country. Thanks for this.
It's a cracking wee mountain. You might have bagged it if you'd gone with someone who could read a map 😉
Thought it was about hill of beath but it was just about football crap
@@owenmccallum6076 🤣
Derek what kind of drone do you have ?
Djimini 2. Old now, but a great and reliable drone.
Good vlog Derek. Well done 👏
You should have went up the path that leads up behind the SMC hut …
HE WALKED PAST MY HOUSE
My village! (I don't know what the statue in the garden is either 😅)
Love the new Fife song in Germany. Oh ye cannae get yer granny aff the drugs, oh ye cannae get yer granny aff the drugs cos she's your mammy's mammy oh ye cannae get yet granny aff the drugs. Hello Methil.
🤣🤣🤣
Since the age of 2/3 years i would grab a stool and look at MY BRIDGE from my grandparents kitchen window. When i would go visit my grandparents as an adult,i made it my routine to always get a fish supper a can of you know what being a SCOT, standing under the bridge fish supper in hand, and remembering the days gone by. SCOTLAND IS ALWAYS IN MY HEART! Great video as usual.
Thank you, I love the bridge!
Another excellent video! You give folk access to interesting places - with a great commentary - which they may be unable to access themselves.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind comment.
Stunning ariel shots 😍
Please come to Crook of devon again last time you came, you coudve seen alot more cool things! 👍 🙏
Comee backk please 🙏
when it was a school in 1970_72 there were no girls my hubby was put there by social services in stirling for being a problem kid aged 11 it was not a nice place the owner then a taylor bryant was a bully who used a leather belt to punish anyone caught running away they were belted across the tops of there legs so they would not run away again
It's a very nice place, and at least you saw the castle from the air. Thanks for this.
Fascinating stuff. Thanks for this.
So much history in Dunfermline. For me as a proud englishman i am proud to call Fife my home.
Good to see you snd Kat. I will be at east end park fan zone on friday cheering you all on. Probably best i dont wear shorts with my tat on leg. On a personal note. . Brilliant to have the Tartan Army at the Finals. Good luck to you all ...as for friday night and germany.... getit rite up em
"it's the Gingerman" Taps on arm. ✌😄
The first official match between Scotland and England took place at Hamilton Crescent, the West of Scotland cricket ground in Partick. Hampden used to be where the bowling club is, and that was Clincart Farm before that, the oldest recorded purpose made football venue in the world, dating at least back to the 1830s.
Thanks for this 🧡
Lovely header from Shanks
So you didn't go along Leven Road. Pity. You would have passed my house (which used to be a dairy).
I've been following you for a year or so. I'm from America, OKLAHOMA, USA..my husband and I visited Dunfermline in 1986 and 2008. We have family in Edinburgh and Kirkcaldy. I really enjoy watching your videos. Yes, Andrew Carnegie is very famous in America. I never knew he was born and raised in Dunfermline, Scotland; although I knew he was a Scotsman. I don't blame you for wanting to always live in Scotland. I would love to live there as well...We're too old to make the move now LOL...Good luck with your Unicorn Garden Services....
Thank you, what a lovely comment to read 🧡🧡🧡
Interesting video - thanks! Good luck with Unicorn garden services.
Thank you!
Thank you 🙏 A lot of people do not know who this man is.Actor Brian Cox wants to make a drama series on him. He gave a lot to society . Love it.
Really good video Derek. Well produced and great final thoughts. A few problems with dates but never mind. You said 1982 for the first union strike and said it again. And you said in the Glen that Carnegie was 4' 3". Nitpicking I know but it was a very good video indeed.
111 Carnegie libraries were built in my Canadian province. I've spent countless hours in the one in my hometown. Very few on this side of the pond pronounce his surname properly though, i know how it feels. Cheers, great video
No It's Whiteburn
Been watching your videos for the last year. Thank you for the lovely insight and hilarious jokes! I vote for 300 you go to your favourite place and show it off! ORRRR, the Loch Lomond area is my favourite. Drymen, Killearn, Balfon, Balloch. Anyway, keep up the great videos! I look forward to them!
Moulin on the north edge of Pitlochry - Moulin was there long before Pitlochry was ever thought of. It has a hotel, which was the old coaching inn, ruins of the Black Castle, a couple of standing stones nearby, a Crusader grave stone in the old kirk yard and, if you're feeling fit , a hike up Craigower giving great views.......so long as it isn't raining:)
get Burnturk on your list. We done a random gig there, middle of nowhere in Fife... probably some decent country walks on a nice day
I worked here. Amazing place! One of my favourite places! Thank you Derek.
cool, uncle Gerald
Been there. Lovely place!
171?
Cheers 👀😊
When is Callum coming back? That's all I am interested in.
Hold on, I'll ask him.
@@GingerManWithACam Ha ha ha
This is my home town! At the bottom of that road you walked up at the start of the video is the old mills… beautiful town. Losing its charm more as they build more social housing and move all the junkies from surrounding areas to… shame really! Great video man ❤
Underrated channel. I watch your videos all the way from Germany.
Great video Derek. This is a great trail. Good for people who are not too steady on their feet. No steep inclines etc.
Yess!! Love the shale trail ❤
Spot on! My ancestors came from Ireland to West Calder, then later moved to Cowdenbeath and Kelty. Judging by some family history research I did, it took two or three generations before it was a better life - although I guess what they left in Ireland might have been even worse. Good episode. And yes, a cycling one might be a good idea if you have a way to safely cycle and film. The cyclist Mark Beaumont did it but that was on empty roads in a desert!
At 1min 50secs there's a corner shop in the background (on the main road). In 1974 I was riding my very old Suzuki B120 motorbike eastwards along that very road. The throttle somehow managed to jam full on, at that exact spot. The only way to disengage the engine was to pull in the clutch, with the left hand. However that made the engine rev to about 12,000rpm. Trouble was, to turn off the engine the ignition key on that bike was also on the left. So I had to reach across to the clutch with my RIGHT hand to keep it disengaged. I then turned off the ignition key and sighed with relief. But as I let go the clutch, I forgot that the engine was still spinning at 12,000rpm. The bike therefore shot forward, being steered only by my right arm still holding the LEFT handlebar, and careered right into (and through) the double doors of that very same corner shop. Even 50 years later I can still remember the startled look of the customers in the shop.
Why didn't you just knock it into neutral and use your brakes to stop?
@@roddymcniven8734 Spent 50 years asking masel the same question pal! 😄
Great video i walk the trail regularly pity you had to miss the part through Almondell country park
Woah! I lived in Inverkeithing for 10 yrs and it had never flooded like that! Now, I would not recognise it. It has changed so much, I hear.
It's beautiful there. Thanks for this.
