As advised earlier, please stay in your apartment and rent out the individual house. Independent house will have so many problems and you need to have so much patience to fix them. Sintex tank should not be left empty, thats one of the drawbacks. Please do some waterproofing on the terrace, i would recommend white tiles so that water will drain easily and cleaning will also be easy.

During rainy season only we can check the other side of house condition....If possible try to fill gravel sand or chips work surrounding your house to avoid stagnantion of water...It will affect the basement...Also do water proofing painting on terrace..so that rain water will not settle over easily...Just an additional protection to safeguard roof
