as a Turk, i think the previous generation sucks. haven't had the chance to ride the newer ones. the line i use has a ton of previous gen Procity buses (diesel) and i sigh every time i have to ride one. the engine noise is almost as if the engine is a passenger alongside you. and seat positioning is really bad, i'm 182 cm and my knees are forced against the seats in front of me or others' knees. idk what they were sold at but i'm led to believe the sheer number of them here only comes from it being the cheapest option. inward opening doors are one thing i don't get about public transport buses in general. there are some brands that offer outward doors but no one opts for them for some frickin reason. money might be the keyword here again -_- my favorite turkish bus brand has to be Otokar ^-^

In GTA 4 you can see even metro o subway tickets around ground - GREAT texture details too in this game.

Watch dogs 1 has the best metro lines. On a single platform there are multiple routes metro trains will come.

Fun Fact: When the company became Alstom (no "h") in 1998 a new logo was launched - "ALSTOM" in dark blue with a red swirly device used to replace the letter "O". Presumably because it was easier than using an imbedded image at that time, the marketing people had a special type font created whereby typing certain keyboard letters would create the logo. I seem to remember it was something like selecting the Alstom Font and then keying: A-S-D-F would give AL-ST-O-M in the corporate blue and red lettering... this could then be used in letter heads and other official documents However, it wasn't long before some smart employee with too much time on his hands realised that if you changed the typing order to A-F-D-S it would spell "ALMOST" - still in the correct corporate blue and red lettering with the swirly red "O". It was virtually unnoticeable unless you were looking for it! Of course, numerous documents then started appearing with ALMOST instead of ALSTOM at the top! (Some might say ALMOST was quite appropriate given the mess the French were starting to make of running the company) Needless to say management soon became aware and memos were circulated saying that changing the comany logo was now a disciplinary offence. Fun while it lasted though!

I worked there from 1996 to 2001 - an interesting period as the name was just about to change from Metro Cammell to GEC Alsthom when I started and later changed to Alstom (no “h”) when the French took full control. We built some good trains: The European Nightstock - ordered as part of the Channel Tunnel project but rejected by the customer for numerous totally fabricated reasons (politically driven) and which eventually ended up with VIA Rail in Canada The Arlanda Express - still running well between Stockholm Airport and the city centre (I travelled on it this year) Class 175 and 180 DMUs - the latter the fastest of its type in the UK Various LUL stock - builds tended to alternate between “the Met” and BREL (now Bombardier) up the road at Derby and finally… The Class 390 Pendolino. What a train! What a shame! If it wasn’t for those meddling French! Left to our own devices this could have been SO DIFFERENT. The French basically messed up everything - they took whole design packages and gave to other plants in France that were short of work; they parachuted in “managers” who had no clue what they were doing; they insisted on using French parts and designs that may have worked in the TGV but weren’t suitable for our train. And then once they’d totally decimated this once great company, they shut it down! 😢
