Meditations on the Tarot - ah, be still my beating heart! This was my introduction to the Western Mystery Tradition in 1996 and is a book I've returned to again and again in my life - truly a font of sublime spiritual wisdom, I ran a Yahoo group about it for years <3

Re the OGPU, my latest book, The Eidolons (Shin Publications), includes official reporting from their dramatic bust of the order EMESH Redivivus, inaugurated by the Martinist master, G.O. Mebes (himself sent to a Gulag in 1924 in the infamous case of the Leningrad freemasons) and continued in Moscow by Chekhov and Teger in the 1920s.

RE: The long march through the institutions en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_march_through_the_institutions is certainly a thing. It seems a lefty at a job interview will ALWAYS give the job to another lefty, but a liberal or conservative will seek to employ the most competent person. Yet, with the ideology of equity - they want to apply this schema to all jobs - not only academic jobs! For me, the LMTTI is an informal agreement they have among themselves, not a planned "conspiracy".

The question of whether The Enlightenment was an incomplete or failed project is irrelevant - until one can say what that project was. Liberals, conservatives, and lefties never agreed on its telos.

Love Ken Wilber. He doesn't know it but he's my teacher. After meditating and doing depth psychology and dream analysis for a few years, I had a classic Kundalini awakening and a direct experience of the Goddess or the Golden Light that radiates ecstacy (Shakti), This was experienced as Unity but there was still the I-Thou relationship. The Goddess was radiating and sustaining me, except it was a higher me...which I interpret as the Soul or the Psychic Being of Sri Aurobindo. This was not what is described as Non Dual...but it was the most Unity and Love I have ever experienced. In fact, it felt like 10,000 orgasms. The kundalini process then regresses the person to the very pits of the unconscious. Here, the kundalini violently breaks up any previous stages that were not integrated or that were arrested. This took 23 years of suffering and anguish. At the bottom of the unconscious, one encounters the Psychic Being or Flame of the Sacred Heart. It is literally located behind the heart. Sri Aurobindo describes it and the process of attaining it in great detail. The process then swings up and an ascension and integration process begins. This rises higher and higher until non dual is experienced. I know Ken has written about the pre/trans fallacy, yet my experience was a down/up journey. But what I found on the other side of the lowest pits of hell (collective unconscious shadow) was my Soul...luminous and effulgent. I don't think this Psychic Being or Soul Core or the "Flame of the Sacred Heart" is well known or written about by many transpersonal theorists. The Individuality not only remains intact, it is redeemed, justified, and sanctified. This is the path of the Mother or Shakti Goddess who cares so much about people...souls...that she created a natural process for those who are ready to achieve integration and enlightenment. It's not the highest stage of non dual...I think it is called the 6th stage.

Great - complex yet clear and understandable - though when, near the end, he starts to characterise the political left - in much the same terms as its opponents in the US - I felt his thinking had lost its edge and become a bit prejudiced. The left does not believe in equality of outcomes, it does object to inequality in personal circumstances of background. And objecting to extreme right-wing speakers on campuses is based on moral objection. Cultural relativism is not moral relativism.

45:00 art is a matter of sublimating evil reminds me of "Communication is health; communication is truth; communication is happiness." - Virginia Woolf if you keep talking and listening, you can't go wrong; you'll be wrung out of all you can lose, all falseness Emily Dickinson has a nice line: essential oils are wrung perhaps our posts and paintings and recordings are all oil, water, color and sound to be wrung out-a way toward perfection at the center of stillness and silence which must continually be rediscovered, conquered, lived in and written/spoken/acted out of

@44 mins. Regarding diversity, it is only promulgated and enforced in one direction. For example, if there is a profession or school department wherein most people are white, it becomes a screaming concern: why aren't there any people of color here? They then begin to move heaven and earth in order to get black and people of color to get hired. YET, the NBA (National Basketball Association) is 85% black and yet there is never any discussion about the "tragedy" due to almost no Asian basketball players, etc. You get the idea. If the profession is dominated by people of color, there will be no concern. However, if the profession is mostly white ... then it must be fixed for the sake of equity. "Equity" seems to be very selective. Hm.
