@spudhauler Yes, it's very frustrating that I haven't touched it In months 🤦♂️ hopefully things move on a bit quicker this year! 🤷♂️

@@Gearoid35 Thank you 😊🥳
Hi Carl, the PTO yokes turned up fine when the Massey was delivered, so thanks for that. It's nice to put a face to the name, not to mention an interesting video, seeing how you do things on your MF, so thanks for all that.
@smartarsetube That old 698 you have now is one of the first tractors I ever learnt to drive on. It was very sad to see it go, so many brilliant memories of my childhood spent behind the wheel of that smokey beast! ❤️
Great video Carl, sale looked a bit disappointing, but least you will get a bit of money out of it. 👍👍
We use a haybob but then all our gear is retro
@ADartmoorFarm Needs must when on a tight budget I spose 🤷♂️😊
Haybob great machine in its day but things have moved on
@liambrophy7574 I do agree, yes
James Hayes territory mind! 😂😂
@@finditfixitfarmit The big boys little toys 😂
the haybob was fine back in the 1980's with 5'6 cut mowers and balers with narrow pick ups but times have moved on a bit since then.........there still fine for small square balers though providing you don't mind getting out the tractor cab every time you come to a sledge full of bales that are in the way cos you can't squeeze through between the bales and the next row of hay
@geraldbeard856 I always remember it being very satisfying, pulling 2 rows into one seamlessly, very therapeutic
A rough day to be out, Hannah should wear a hat in that weather.
@Gearoid35 Indeed, it was. She had her emotional support dog for warmth 😂 and was hiding behind containers for most of the day 👌
Hmmmm…Haybobs…I think they can be a good tool in the right place like heavy first cut where a 3m swath is plenty to feed a baler…but most people haven’t got a scoobie on how to use the flippin things!!!🤬
@Ian6630premium I 100% agree, I used one for many years back at the farm, me and dad mastered the haybob and made lovely rows with it, but from a baler drivers point of view, I can't weave enough to make a nice square edge bale 🤔 I guess it comes down to Mr farmers budget really 🤷♂️
@ the only way to make a wider row with a haybob is to leave the tines set in the spread position and make the row with the gates…in the row position you don’t really need the gates on the back unless it’s windy and you’re rowing hay.
@Ian6630premium I know how to do it, the problem is Mr. Farmer doesn't 🤦♂️ I think you should only be allowed to row up if you've driven a baler before 😂 I like to row up for myself where I can 🤷♂️ a single rotor rake is an art you've either got or not aswell 🤔😂
@@seggonscontractors588 never done the single rotor rake but plenty of double rotor and both round and big square (hay/silage/straw) baling behind it…used to struggle with heavy first cuts going through the square baler so then used a haybob to keep the rows more user friendly! 😂 Like you said…if the rowing up driver spends an hr in the baler seat the rows would defo be better!
@Ian6630premium If rowing up with a single rotor isn't done right, it can be worse than following a bad haybob driver 🤦♂️ I like my rows big, but I'm paid by the bale and have 250 horses to keep occupied 🤔😂 the fusion loves a big row 💪💪
That is one sale I've not been to yet, looks a good way to justify a day 😅
@shaunrobins8000 It's on every month on the first Saturday of every month 👌👌 this is where I bought my fusion baler from!
what did the Matbro go for?
@Farmer_phil I'm not sure, unfortunately, I think I was filming other things when that sold 🤦♂️

Thanks for the walk around .Hate the haybob too, most overated.Hannah is a sweetie.

Great to have you back Carl, for me your the king of the engine rebuilds. You had some battery to crank that engine over . Look forward to your next video. 👍👍
The king?! Blimey 😂 thank you 😊
Sounded abit like a valve wasn’t seating right explains the white smoke from fuel not being burnt fully. Well done though enjoying the videos
@Auagri Something wasn't right, but it's running perfectly now 👌😊
Result👌massive step forward👍
Indeed it is! It's just a shame about the radiator! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Sounding proper that 👌
It'll be even better when it's in one piece!! 💪💪
Enjoying the new videos. You’re being a bit mysterious about your change in circumstances……🤔😁
It'll take some explaining, and some of it is quite personal, but I might spill the beans one day 🤷♂️ but I'm glad you're enjoying the videos 😊
Sorry. I wasn’t prying. I’m just a nosy bastard 😆 love all your videos. Very real world mate

Good to see your back making progress👍What was the final number on tightening them head bolts? Amazing how didn't look a day older at the beginning from the last video🤷♂️😂😂👍
@spudhauler All them 🤷♂️😂 I went for the VAP recommendation! Also, I haven't aged in this because this was filmed before I disappeared, I have been filming an update this past week, so hopefully, some time next week, you'll be up to date! 😊😂
I figured I'd missed part 2 🙈 Just a few months later🤣
@@bumpkinrocks Sorry I've been away for quite some time! I've had a lot on my plate recently! 😊
Great job 👏 👍
@@JD313OLS Thank you 😊
Solid straightforward video. Liked how you load the chopper
@johornbuckle5272 Work smart not hard 😉👌👌😊
Good video It's good to see the problems others have to sort out. To get the new drawbar under the spreader I would have used three pallets on a pallet trolley.
Thought the same when it happened that it would make a good video 👌 that spreader Is sold now
Hello sir,any update on this ? Loved all your videos and the way u explained stuff.Hopefully you are not gone forever.
@yant8777 No update as of yet! There has been a number of events leading to my disappearance, some are still on going! I will probably do an update and explanation video when I am able to! 😊
they rot just under the back of the cab in the chassis .......seen them snap there ....... your crossmember at the fuel tank looks better than most , they are generally the first place they rot out .........seen 2014 models with plastic grommets in all the gig holes that are in the. 2 main rails good to keep out the mud and salty water .....dont know if it was fitted at the factory or was a dealer mod ......
Yes, from the back of the cab backwards on this one was quite crispy, I think I caught it just at the tight time! There is plenty of dousing with old engine oil through the winter months to keep it protected 👌
Where did you get the filler neck 👍
Rough tracks 4X4 is where I got most of the parts from 😊
Hello, please, what model of borgwarner turbo did you fit?
It depends on what side the bearing of opinions on which way it spins so you have to watch which way the pinions are when they turn into rain gears to get them to turn into each other if you don't watch that you can mess up the hole cutter bar
Dozo the same housing the new ideal has new ideal is the same stuff exactly how a new ideal drives the same stuff I've got two of them 5209 and 5212
Now i totaled the whole cutting bar. the long bolt shaft what runs trought the section is bend. it is 280 long. or lely 550p it has 2 bars. But where i can get that long bolt?
Are those good cars? i like the look of those, but i have no idea how reliable they are
@AmisCorolla when they're working right, they're great... when they're not, they're terrible 🤷♂️😊
OLÁ Seggons 04/08/24 No Vosso vídeo, em algumas partes, demonstram insuficiência Técnica. Roberto Udo Krapf
Just out of curiosity, I’ve watched this video of yours as well as the 6 cyl rebuild videos and I was just wondering if the 50 series 6 cyl versions have ballancing shafts along side the crank?? As I’ve got a 3050 to rebuild at some point! TIA
Im not sure is my hex driver shaft little bit rounded, but seems to be nightmare to get it timed right so that the first two blades do not touch each other.
You can time it with the teeth on the gears as well, so when you're assembling each bed section, leave the bolts loose so you can adjust them a couple of degrees or so by the teeth, if that makes sense
@@seggonscontractors588 i did that, but seem that the drive shaft is so wornout that those hit what ever i do. So i took little bit off those blades with angle grinder.
Thanks for the video.
