Yeah, I'm about to cease business with DoorDash. Every time I order, it's from a place we have in town. DoorDash ALWAYS assigns it to an out of town restaurant that's 20+ miles away, and they seriously think their customers won't pick up on this. Unacceptable. If you could define horrible business practices, DoorDash would be the flagship. There's your answer. Order from a place that's right next door, and they'll send you some cold food from a restaurant that's a half-hour away.

Middle of July 2024 and Spark and DD are my main apps now with DD paying better. I try to at least do one UE and GH order a day. I still got Roadie but I can’t remember the last order I took for that app. I make $150 to $200 a day in Columbus Ga. I work six days a week. I’m still doing the same as I did after I trained myself 3 years ago. I adapt with the apps as changes go. Did Spark alone for 6 months when it was good and took one day a month to stay active on the other apps. Before that it was UE and GH. I love what I do serving my community.

Do you have to track mileage for each app separately if you use multiple apps at the same time?

Funny i got 12 thumbs down overnight i was always 99%-100% for 3 plus years all merchant ratings something fishy going on lets file a lawsuit lets all get together that were scammed by uber with this fake merchant rating any lawyers in here i think this should be huge case!

I quit my warehousing job because it was boring and I hate being stuck at a job for 8 hours that I don't enioy when I could be doing other things with my time. With doordash I can work when I want to work and I enioy it! I make the same amount of money and I have freedom if I want to take 2 weeks off for a holiday I can and no one is going to threaten my job for taking time off if I want to work monday to friday I can if I want to work on the weekend I can. Honestly the best decision I ever made.

Your channel is great! How many miles do you use per ten hours of driving on average? I lease a car so I don’t want to drive long distances. I live in the smallest state so I might use less miles than the average driver.

Does this apply to grubhub ? Because grubhub has updated their policy on violations and said they can deactivate you for reassigning orders

I hate food delivery, much rather do rideshare I guess the same principles could apply to rideshare as well

First time door dash. Said to leave at door for both places. First place college dorm, second place dark house. Nobody answered I couldn't reach them by phone or text. I didn't know we were supposed to return the food. Also the gps gets u lost. My very first delivery took me 27 minutes because it took me 11 miles away when it was literally only supposed to be a 2 minute drive. Not even a mile away from the pick up. I called support they said it looks like I already took a picture to leave it there, so I did

Happend to me also on miles and i have set my dash to stop at a set time only to find out thats my dash has been pushed out 30 min or an hour later than my chosen stop time ,ive also have experience that i was on break and they stopped it and sent me an order 5 min into pause my order ,it was started again SMH ive also been lied to about a couple of orders that i called support about and was told i would receive 5 bucks more if i waited the 15 min and never recieved the money and another time when they were doing streaks and never got paid nothing extra after i completed the 5 order streak I think they setting themselves up for a lawsuit like uber and left has

I used to do ubereats for 4 years and since lasy year 2023 I had to.quit no orders..waiting 1 hour for a $4 order Now i went with sparkdriver... What happened to.ubereats.

⚔️ RANT: Digital private contractor companies like Uber, DoorDash, UberEats, etc. are trying to exploit all parties involved. Minimum wage goes up for hourly workers, but gig drivers keep seeing a decrease in base pay - if a customer tips more when they order, the company uses that as an excuse to lower the base pay the driver makes. ⚖️ 1. Normal Base Pay: $5 2. The Customer Tips $10 3. Total Driver Pay: $15 4. The Tech Company Changes The Base Pay To: $2.50 5. Total Driver Pay: $12.50 (They keep more of the money they would have paid the driver.) The digital tech companies keep taking more fees from restaurants, keep charging their customers more, while lowering the amount of pay their private contractor drivers make - cutting their bottom line (while drivers provide everything such as gas, insurance, maintenance & the physical work); the enemy is using algorithmic wage discrimination, shady business practices of paying a driver less in base pay if they see the customer provides a higher tip - their digital anonymity is going to go up in flames, soon & they will only have themselves to blame. The reason they’re paying less while minimum wage goes up, is because they’re trying to get drivers to get full/part time jobs, so the only drivers who do work - will be part timers doing it after work or on their weekends, to ‘piggy-back’ off of a driver base who only work for just a few extra passive income bucks on their weekends. These companies figure, if people order on special occasions & they’re still getting customers one after another - they can get fill their driver market with drivers who do the same, only drive on special occasions while THEY take most of the money from all three: the restaurant, the customer & withhold the most money from the driver. They hate full time drivers who complain & make legislation, because it takes away from their opulent lifestyles while they nickel & dime all parties involved with no laws or regulations for pay (like a utility). People who are evil cause people to not be payed fairly, relying more on big businesses who make record profits while their workers barely make rent - and spend less on everything around them, making smaller businesses suffer; all money flows upwards to the big corporations, while all businesses around them get bled dry - until their monopolies create a slave class of citizens, willing to work just to barely live while they become ‘live-in’ workers living in housing pods inside the companies buildings, on call 24/7 (like Japan). And then, the ruling class will try to automate everything - while the rest of the body gets cut off while the super rich are connected to life support machines living in a fantasy; while everyone else lives sinful lives full of agony trying to scrape by - while the rich try to make themselves god’s to their chattel workers, just to keep them from knowing Christ & that this life is just one step to eternity with God. These greedy rich tech companies wants people to work like slaves, like the children of Israel who were being enslaved by Egypt - but the great & terrible day of the Lord is coming.

Their justification now, is that they keep the base pay low & raise it if the customer doesn’t tip or you get less than their average per hour - it’s all a big fat greedy lie.

Dordash tells me to deliver it no matter if the person is there or not. Then I do what the app says and what Doordash says Then I get a violation Saying I didn't deliver it to the right address. Then I have to fight with doordash customer service. Something new happens to me every day😂

I've had this happen to me at Starbuck's, where they leave the order partially done and try to ignore me when I come to the counter. It's almost to the point where I'm going to decline all Starbuck's orders because the workers are rude, and the customers never really tip. Contrast this with a local coffee place where the workers greet you, are happy, and the customers tip. There's really no reason for any animosity or rudeness - we're just trying to earn money to pay bills like everyone else.

This is well said. I just started with Uber eats in mid July and just got approved for Doordash this week. I started this gig work because I feel exactly the way you are describing in this video. And it is a real job. I’ve been through so many trials and errors with jobs and life, especially the last couple years. It’s the only thing I’m doing at the moment but still trying to get my income up.(don’t like all the wear and tear on the car , looking for a used car). So many family members are saying why don’t you do this or come here I’ll get you a job, . Nope, I say , why? They ask. Beacause I don’t want to do that, I say. I love the flexability of this gig work.

Its good to know you can decline orders, I deliver on my bicycle so Im always worried Ill get sent an order that has a bunch of drinks or something I cant really carry efficiently from place to place

Just take a picture and leave it at the door, don't knock on door, ones you taken picture your job is complete. If it's the wrong address then it's not your fault, I'm not goin to waste time with customer service because they are not going to pay my time wasted that I cud of use on more deliveries, it's the customer loss, don't text customer back ever because everything is recorded by the company, I have delivered to a few wrong address because of customer putting the wrong address, and I never got deactivated because I always take a picture of the food of drop off😂🎉😊
