When I first started 4-5 years ago - Doordash would pay 5.00 extra for waiting for an order . They stopped doing it a few years ago and now you get nothing for waiting extra . They say that waiting is calculated in the offer amount ... but we all know that their pay model is jacked and they pay nothing for the problem restaurants ... the ones that make you wait every time. Ihop is a great example ... where they should pay extra as it is most always a Hassle restaurant .
Hi 🙋🏻♂️ Chuck… this is why I always suggest understanding the restaurants in your marketplace and blacklist the ones that take forever. When I have run into this situation with DoorDash especially my goto is to tell the support person I’m talking to that this is an unfair policy along with stating that in every survey afterwards. I don’t think 🤔 my ranting will ever change this policy but hopefully 🤞🏻 it will eventually LoL 😂
I always found it was better to dash when it is busy than to dash at random non busy times . Basically when they are letting anybody dash is when you really want to dash - peak periods .
Also - I can schedule a week ahead and pick my shifts ... so I gain absolutely nothing from Top Dasher and I am not forced to take crap that I don't want to . Plus eventually you will lose top dasher due to customer complaints . The ones who don't tip are the worst when it comes to complaining . LoL !!
Unassign.....when I started this nonsense I spent about two hours on several fuc*ed up orders like this trying to get things resolved because I knew it would only screw up another driver if not addressed at that time. Only to find out of course that doorass would not compensate me in any way. Not half pay...not nothing!!!! So now...UNASSIGN!!!!....sorry to the other drivers but doorass is a completely cheap ass, half assed outfit. Doorass sucks!!!!!
Hi 👋🏻 Timothy this is understandable for sure. I’ve never spent a couple hours trying to resolve anything. If I do have to get support involved in anything especially on DoorDash I’m typically taking orders on other apps while I’m dealing with support. Normally I just click help and store is closed in those situations.
@@McFallRI the two hours was over several attempts to get issues resolved. 20 minutes here, 15 minutes there....but the bottom line is doordash absolutely would not pay me for my time and or efforts. The customers, merchants and drivers absolutely hate doordash. It's a necessary evil at this point. It shouldn't be that way. Just my opinion.
Hey 👋🏻 Timothy… this I completely agree with you on. One caveat to that statement is I can find issues and problems at most any place I go to earn money 💰 This is why I’m working on my own business and hopefully 🤞🏻 in a year or two can be my own boss completely.
Yesterday I went to Taco Bell and they were out certain cheese that the customer needed for order with Uber eats so I put missing items and it sent me to my next pick up. You think they Uber eats will pay me half for trying? Thanks
Hey 👋🏻 Surge… not sure. I know that there have been a few times that Uber Eats paid me for a order and pay that I had when the restaurant couldn’t make part of the order. Let me know how it turns out for you… it can take up to 48 hours for money to be in the app.

Top dasher checking in 👋 I can dash whenever I want and you can’t. Just wanted to remind you.
Hey 🙋🏻♂️ Sephorajunkie - multi-apper checking back… I make more money per hour than Top Dashers. Just wanted to remind you.

Amen 🙏🏻 to that Chuck… I rarely have issues getting on DoorDash when I go out and this is normally 14:00 to about 15:30 on a Saturday or Sunday
I also think 💭 that Top Dasher and dash now is not worth it in any marketplace unless it’s over saturated with drivers Chuck 😐
